Loads of herring out there, get some fresh ones and fish with them , and dnt put bloody salt on them , they got loads of blood and scent on them , whip them on with elasticated cotton.

I am told there are huge shoals of Herring along the coast at the moment and most fish are up in the water concentrating on them….

If you don’t use a shock leader he’ll just snap your line
