My favorite thing about this story? The fact that you always said things like “I dont wanna buy it and take it away from another girl who maybe wanted that color and was hoping for that color” and “I didnt want to waste the SA’s time because I want someone else to experience being offered a box in saran wrap”.

This is the first how i got a birkin in paris video that ive watched all the way and not got bored. I can just tell you are so sweet and honestly adorable and you deserve the bag so much! shout out to your husband because he truly is a real one for having the patience for you😂

The fact that you considered other people's thoughts and wants in mind, like not getting a bag you didn't love or not opening one you knew you weren't going to buy, is amazing. Most people now a days won't even consider what you did. And that you enjoyed your trip and acknowledged what your husband said. It shows how genuine and considerate you are as a person. Beautiful story. Congratulations on your getting your Birkin! I really appreciate how you shared your feelings about trying to get the bag. People don't talk about the hardship much. You also worked hard in your own projects and full-time job to save up for it and persisted to get the bag. Its more meaningful and you can wear it with your head held high. No one bought it for you or used someone else's money.

What a lovely story. Scoring an Hermes is really difficult. I feel like the SA's have this diagram of the flow of how someone can get it. I have seen so many videos where they were always rejected at first and needed to come back multiple times before they get the bag that they want..

Congratulations on your one year anniversary! And of cause congratulations 🥳 on your Birkin and Herbag( I watched that video as well). One thing I want to mention:::::: You tried 6 times being nice, play by roles etc. and you didn’t get the bag. On other hand your husband went once and he got the bag. It shows that even in 21 centuries society treats male different with more respect and admiration.
Aww thank you so much for watching and for the congratulations!! I completely understand your perspective. Of course, I wish that they had offered me the bag the few times I requested previously. And, I can’t be certain whether the reason was because it was my husband asking or if it was the first time that it genuinely came across as me starting to become frustrated and potentially turned-off by the brand. That being said, I still agreed with your perspective and believe sexism is still prevalent in all aspects of society and it’s certainly not okay. I even started comedic sketches with a college friend about sexism in the workplace to highlight this issue called womenonwork.org. Overall though, I’m happy I got my bag and it was my choice to “play the game” so I just see the bright side that my husband could play a role in getting the bag even though I was the one paying for it 🥰 thanks for sharing your thoughts with me!

Juliet Picard it was amazing, granted my husband did all the work. I sent him in instead of me because they are nicer to husbands. When he called me to tell me that they had one I couldn’t believe it. I rushed to the store and it was true. I also uploaded a video 😊❤️

I loved your story, it was meant to be your bag! I understand the obsession because I watched every video I could before getting offered my Birkin 30 in Gris Asphalte last September. Such a memorable moment when they take off that plastic, open the box and out comes your dream bag. I’m glad the SA took the time to help you and let you know that they want people to keep liking the brand. I deal with the Beverly Hills store here in L.A. and it’s not always easy getting these bags when your not very wealthy or a celebrity. Fortunately, I was blessed with my wonderful SA in 2019 that made my Birkin dream come true. Keep putting the bag on your desk as you write and before you know it another will join soon :)

So I was trying to keep track of where you were lol. You were in Lyon when your husband got an SA’s business card, and then you were offered your B30 in the Lyon store??

I’m glad you appreciated that ❤️ I was in Lyon when we got the SA’s business card, and we were offered a Birkin a from the Lyon store a few days later, but at this point we had already left to go to Provence area and St Tropez so we had to wait until we were on our way back to drop by the store. It all kind of just worked out

I honestly got rejected soo many times, but you should never give up on something you truly want ✨

I’ve never heard from any of the other “birkin bloggers” that only French citizens can get birkins at the French locations. I know Mel in Melbourne usually gets her birkins from the French locations even though she’s from Australia
Same! And it’s not true haha as I was able to get mine in Lyon. I think he was also excluding Paris, but in any case, it’s interesting how an SA would tell me that to deter me from trying
It happened to Oprah. Imagine. Not sure if it was Hermes but it was in a Paris luxury handbag store.
@@marina56 I thought it was in Switzerland though and I think it was Chanel .. I think that because she was asking to see a bag that was on a shelf - so it either wasn’t a b or k bag in Hermes (because they’re not on shelves ) or - more likely imo - it was Chanel. I think that because only Chanel is snobbish enough to have SA look you up and down and say no (would Never happen in dior anywhere in the world) AND they have their best bags on display (unlike Hermes )

Hi, lovely! I think it helped purchasing with a significant other (only in France) because sometimes they get nervous with standalone shoppers only buying to potentially resale. That being said it, I’ve for sure heard about people going to buy it alone and still succeeding. I’d like to think they wouldn’t reject you for being trans or Asian that’d honestly be horrible if they did such a thing. I’d recommend though if you could go with a friend that would be ideal when purchasing in France. In your local country, it shouldn’t matter if you go alone or not because you’re building a relationship with an SA over time.
