- Today, I share with you, the storytime as to how I scored 2 Kelly 25s on a 1 week trip to France. One of the Kelly 25's is my unicorn dream bag and the other Kelly 25 is a gorgeous Special Order bag that I never knew I needed.

I think it is wonderful you were able to obtain 2 bags. My SA and I were discussing how there are so many opinions on UA-cam and forums on how to obtain a quota bag and many people forget enthusiasm for the brand and being nice are also important factors. I'm sure both SAs responded to your enthusiasm and niceness!

I am so thrilled to hear your story 🤩 I just came back from Paris last week for a week there for my Europe trips. Unfortunately, I tried a week for online appmt, and came to the store twice, but not luck :( I will try again nx tm 🙏😅
What a wonderful story, Juliet. Both bags are gorgeous. I think Europe is still the best place to get a bag without a long purchase history. I’m in New York currently and so far no lack about getting a bag 😅

Awww, so happy to hear you scored in that store. I visited the Hermes store in Lyon in 2012. I bought an ulysse cover and had a really great chat with a male SA, but when he asked me if there was anythng else I was looking for and I jumped and said I would love to buy a Kelly...omg his mood shifted from super chatty to....."get out of my store" (he didn't actually say that, just his eyes telling me) haha. So no luck for me there!

You probably won't see this comment since this video is older but I was curious if the SA on the special order had your name and looked up to see your purchase history and if he had, would he have seen that you had just purchased another Kelly in Lyon 3 days prior? Great story! I had a similar experience in the main store but it was in 2018. My 17 year old daughter and I went into the store late afternoon. I didn't even know about the appointment system, worked with an SA to pick out a couple belts, chatted alot, and when I finally asked about a Kelly, he told me about the appointment system but we were leaving the next morning. Then he asked what I liked, set us in the separate room and after about 15 min or so, he showed up with a big orange box! Everyone on social media says that's impossible and it only happened because it was 3 years ago. So, I'm glad to see it can still happen!
Aww I absolutely love this story! You never know how these sorts of things will work out. Yes, they can see your purchase history in all of France. I think they are even starting to merge profiles globally. That being said, my husband put the 2nd Kelly on his passport, so there were no issues with regards to having already bought my 1st Kelly.

Hi Jan! I’m not certain. But, this bag was put under my husband’s account so there’s a possibility they didn’t see it. Tho they could’ve easily looked up my name too 🤷🏻♀️
I think Europeans and Californians vibe. During a longer stay I had in nyc only twice I started chatting with someone on the subway, once a guy from Harlem or the bronx making his way to downtown for halloween and once with an American couple where I thought they were local. A couple of minutes in they said everytime they started a good conversation with a stranger in nyc they were European so I asked are you not from New York - they said they were from California 😁
So happy for you. Great story. Kelly size 25 is the best size . It is amazing experience. Haha, for Hermes I also have rule that don’t want to have Swift leather. Definitely update with us the wear and tear, so I can break my rule. I did pass the offer of Swift leather, maybe next time I should not. 💕

Thank you! I can’t remember exactly so let me get back to you on this. So, I calculated the swift Kelly and with US tax and VAT refund, I roughly paid $8K. The tadelakt Kelly was slightly more expensive.

I live in the UK and am visiting France in July. Does my purchase history here count or is it a fresh profile in Europe? Can they view my UK profile?
Aw thank you! 🖤 I’m not sure if they can view UK profile, but for the most part spend history is mostly beneficial when you are buying from one store with the same SA. The nice thing about France I found is that purchase history is not as important especially in Paris where there’s a lot of tourists and they have an appt system where you can apply for a leather bag appt that I highly recommend you do when you visit.

@@JulietPicard I don’t know yet it’s only from 2018 but you can tell it’s going to hold its shape and color for decades. Only bad thing is it scratches easily :/ but I heard can be buffed out at the spa

Binge watching these just to see if there is a limit to how ridiculous people can be. This is pure comedy. "I'm like - how are you?" She's like "good thanks, you?" Im like "doing well" she's like "how can I help you today" I'm like "I'd like like a Kelly bag". If the eligibility criteria would be a minimum IQ limit, these bags would be rare indeed.

Hi Tia! I don't believe so. I heard some profiles are starting to get synced in Europe so that they can see your quota bag purchases in the US, but that hasn't happened across the board yet. I'm not sure about US being able to see Europe purchase history though (probably not a thing yet either).

I always have mixed feelings: on one hand I feel happy for everyone who is successfully shopping in Europe, on the other hands it drives me crazy to see how Non-Europeans come over here, run after the most hunted items from Hermes, Chanel etc, making my chance even lower (I live here, spent my money here, pay taxes here!) and making on top a big saving by getting tax back
I also have mixed feelings when I remember history of how European "colonizers" came to America and stole not only our golds and precious stones but also our culture, bury our history and almost exterminate my kind, don't be selfish there's greater losses in life.
