Lol. The upgrades cost more than the pressure washer 4x
He ain't even mention the $100 foam Cannon
Upgrades are needed across the board no matter what. Either buy a $100 pressure washer or a $700 one. That’s the difference. Upgrades are need for both in most circumstances
My pressure washer was $650 and the stuff that’s included honestly shouldn’t even be included. The hoses are insanely stiff and the guns are super cheap. That being said the price I paid was extremely fair for just the pressure washer itself so I guess it’s a bonus.
Buy kränzle and then upgrade.
Over the life of a printer, you'll spend on average 10x more on ink than purchasing the machine.
This reminds me of those box Honda cars that are like $1500 dollars but they put $2000 rims and $1500 stereo system and $800 exhaust 😂
Basically when your gma gets a boob job!
Yo for real
Yep exactly
I'd agree, except Karcher actually makes solid pressure washers. More like a Charger or Mustang with a maxed out engine but absolutely trash finishes. But I'd rather have a Charger engine/body and upgrade the finishes aftermarket if I want to, than have a Nissan Leaf or some shit with suede seats and premium sound. Sleepers are trash and everyone knows it, and I'm not putting a 4.0L V8 in a goddamn subcompact.
Boomer really said box Honda cards.
People who haven’t detailed for money don’t realize how much better these upgrades make your life
True, but surely people who detail for money would also invest in a pressure washer that costs more than $140. These expensive upgrades would go well with a higher end pressure washer for a professional detailer. Home use, maybe doesn't need a $140 hose.
@@tren133why do you need a expensive washer to wash a car ? I have an expensive one and is a waste to only do cars. You don’t want to take the paint off just the dirt
@@Nojail101 People pay big bucks for professional tools not necessarily because it performs that much better. Pro grade tools are above everything reliable and consistent. That's what you are after if the tool is your money maker. Saving $300, $500, even $1000 on the upfront cost versus this cheapo $140 consumer grade pressure washer literally means nothing to a professional detailer, since performance and convenience of use aside, that consumer grade crap washer is gonna crap out on you after a few months of constant daily use, and just one day of lost income due to the broken tool will have cost you more than the money saved on the tool itself.
Home users, do whatever you want. Buy a cheapest possible washer with zero upgrades and it'll still sort of work. Buy a more expensive one and trick it out with these upgrades if you want, etc. But the pros will buy the more expensive tier tool, because their livelihood literally depends on it.
@@tren133 I agree with you ! I said for detailing cars you don’t need any thing crazy ! My machine cost 600$ it just came out. Runs off 2 20 volt batteries ! It’s perfect for detailing. I was saying why buy a 4000 Psi washer for just cars ? Mine was more then most pressure washers and it’s perfect for cars
Even as an enthusiast it makes your life easier especially a wall mount/reel. People who say shit like this is too expensive clearly dont have a passion for detailing or they are so used to buying the cheapest shit they can find regardless of what it is.
Remember these guys run a business - so these are investments for efficiency gains.
If you're worried about hitting the paint with the nozzle you're too close to the paint.
I agree the upgrades are a must buy you can get all those for $150 total for good brands. Most expensive is the hose.
This is what a near end game pressure washer setup looks like. Yall can save your money with this setup. Grip: sgs28 for around $70 or if you don’t need swivel the sg28 is $34 and a great low budget option is the harbor freight stubby grip at $25. For the tips all the mtm aqualine ones with the rubber are about $30 but you can get bare 40 degree tips anywhere for about $5. And a great hose would be anything flexzilla with the 50 foot one being about $40. Unless your pressure washer is wall mounted you don’t need more than 50 feet and anything less will have you hauling your pressure washer everywhere. Here’s my ideal setup if you’re just starting and want a super low budget build: Ryobi 1800psi 1.2gpm electric pressure washer $100, harbor freight stubby grip $25, flexzilla 50’ hose $40, and a nozzle kit from harbor freight for $20 totaling $235.
140 for a hose attachment and a nozzle guard 😭😭😭😭
Actually just the hose cost 140 LOL, and the stupid nozzle guard is another 40 bucks! I thought I splurged by buying a 50 foot Flexilla/Uberflex hose for $65, but $140 is just ridiculous.
Kobrajet hose will last decades vs a flexzilla or uberflex will last a few years max..if you cant afford then it is what it is but it aint that much..$150 canadian for a 50 foot mtm kobrajet hose with quick connects. Not like its 500 dollars..yeah when you compare a 150 dollar hose to a fckn shit pressure washer that was the same price it seems off but still@@tren133
I know right.? Pretty sure I’m not going go hit my car with the nozzle tip wand. 🤣
Just get a better washer and skip them upgrades ❤😂
A better washer still would need the same upgrades…
I bought a 600$ craftsman 1500 psi 1.2 gpm runs off 2 20 volt batteries. lol. I still need to upgrade some of the stuff. Plus the batteries are 130$ each. I love it though
I don’t think you realize that Karcher makes top notch equipment, it’s only us as North Americans that refer to them like they’re Great Value.
That's what I said I don't think that was even a pressure washer I think that was his kids radio toy or something?? Idk
Quality Quick disconnects and quick shut off valves changed my life haha. My favorite upgrade
They reduce pressure
@@sargonoshana2324 By how much? Is it enough to matter detailing cars?
No.@@annagraham6204
Got that mtm gun I just clean my own cars at home but my god I love it
I bought the new Active Premium swivel stubby gun for $80, and I've been really impressed with it. Look really nice too.
McKillan's gun and bent wand, Uberflex hose, pressure gauge, tips in different sizes to dial in your psi and gpm, tip holder, STA-BIL pump protector
He speaks facts. Even wiv a more expensive washer you don't get those conveniences as standard.
Agree 100%.
Great video 👍🏻
I was half expecting this to be a joke, but after reading the comments I get it. Seems kind or ridiculous tho if you buy an expensive one you still need some of these upgrades, but such is life. I’m in the market for a pressure washer upgrade from my little electric WEN. Something I can use also for wet sandblasting..
I need that pressure washer for now lol
You should let your viewers know if they get a Karcher, they should be mindful of the outlet size is a M22 15mm fitting. Meaning, not any pressure hose or Quick Connects will automatically fit. They may need some adapters to covert the more common M22 14mm hoses out there, as well as the quick connects.
do you know where I can get the adapters to convert them?
@@Reaper-gx8qd Not sure why responses keeps getting erased. lol. But check MTM Hydro Parts. They really really good 15mm fittings. Be mindful of you need a male for female fitting, depending on your hose to gun setup. The video even shows the MTM spray gun as well.
@@ONI1013. Thank you, I’ll be sure to check.
This not true of the K1700 model which uses standard 14mm quick disconnect fittings. Other Karcher models however, do use the oddball fittings you mention.
Ar630, enough said💯
I use the ryobi 1800/1.2gpm paired with a Toolcy snubby, and 50ft Toolcy flexible-kink free hose and an AstroAi foam cannon. All lesser known, cheaper options on the upgrades, but I swear by this combo. It has served me well for about a year and a half now. I’m not a pro detailer, but do detail as a side hustle so it gets plenty of use/abuse and so far has handled it great. MTM hydro, Mckillans, I’m sure it great too but waaay overpriced.
Just bought a short hand hose for 20 bucks and the original hose may not be very long but I have no problem carrying my little ryobi 1600 psi pressure washer around. Plus the pressure washer only cost $60 bucks.
Yes. That ryobi is perfect for car detailing. Upgrades are great but for that entry level Karcher these suggestions are plain stupid. The gun and nozzle alone are over $200. MTM makes good stuff but the aqualine you’re mostly paying for the color. Dumb.
@@connermurray1633 wtf is a short hand hose?
this is the washer I have but with a 50 ft uberflex hose on a swivel McKillans gun. also using a 3.5 green nozzle tip flowing 1.6 gpm at 900 psi. perfect for washing.
Great vid thanks
The Ryobi 1800 psi pressure washer is the best bang for your buck if you’re doing car washing/detailing. It’s $99 and you can afford the new gun to go with for the price of the Karcher
I have the Active 2.0 and i agree with everything but the hose part. I like a flimsier hose than the extremely rigid ones. Personally i like 1/4" and 50 feet. Maybe $80-$100 for a good one.
Another tip: increase the gpm of the tip to reduce psi and increase water flow ;). Easier on your system too.
Everyone in here saying you should’ve bought a more expensive pressure washer to begin with washes their car with a hose 🤣
Just buy a quality washer once
We bought a $600 pressure washer and still had to do the upgrades. It's like buying a better vehicle. You can still upgrade everything
Most pressure washers don’t come with this stuff anyway, I did all these mods aside from a nozzle guard for like 70 bucks
Never heard of a pressure washer that comes with a swivel gun, nozzle guards, or a true kink free hose.
I have the same pressure washer
What generator runs best with this unit
I run out of my vehicle so a smaller unit would be great if they work !!
can you put a pressure regulator on these electric pressure washers?
That tip cost more than my foam cannon and gun combined😂
Flexzilla hose every time
Where can I buy all those stuff?
Question, on the nozzle guard what’s the difference between
40 degrees 2.0
40 degrees 3.0
40 degrees 4.0 ?
Orifice size. Smaller usually gives u more psi, but u need to ensure your pressure washer can handle it. I just use the 4.0 Nozzle guard varient.
Thanks for your video. I am a car detailing enthusiast and bought MTM SGS28 recently. However, I am a bit of dilemma which Karcher to buy to wash my car once every 2 weeks and thinking to buy Karcher K3. How can I adjust the pressure after connecting this MTM gun to Karcher 3? Karcher gun has its own pressure choice, but this gun does not have the pressure choice. Thanks in advance. Best Regards,
I wonder if it’s possible to just buy the pressure washer bare bones especially when you may already have the upgrades?
Links and examples of quality gear please.
what hose do you upgrade with?
How loud is it?
Where did you find that nossle guard?
The pressure washer hose connection is the same for all hoses right? Just curious if I use my current hose and just change the pressure washer for this one if its quieter.
Gas or electric?
What size nozzle guard do you recommend?
Where you buy that exact type of hose
I found some other stubby guns and hoses for my karcher k4 compact that work great. Karcher is great but the hoses and guns are horrible
Buying similar upgrades causes my new pressure washer to surge. K2 KARCHER, but putting the stock wand and hose on makes it spray properly. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong 🤔
So basically, buy a different pressure washer that comes with the good stuff. 😂
We also have a $600 pressure washer and we made the same upgrades. It's like buying a 2023 Supra. You can still spend a ton of money to make it perform better
They all come with the same wand type gun,you still need to upgrade to a gun without the wand to make it more maneuverable and practical, the stock hoses are stiff, and slow down your work,it’s all about efficiency, you certainly don’t need it if you’re a DIY or do here and there side jobs.
How did he detach the hose from the gun?
have a bosch aquatack 120. can i change the hose ??
Where can the mtm gun an blue nozzle guard be purchase??
His prices are insane! You can get way better stuff for way cheaper.
what lol
@@propercareusa every price you listed is double of what is available
Where you get the holes bro?
And the fittings cost $150, assuming you can find the right ones. That's a huge issue with Karcher
True. This particular one I have and it’s not an issue but the suggested upgrades are ridiculous. MTM makes quality components but the acquline you’re paying for color. A color that’d look like trash with yellow.
Love your video's man! I own a part time business, if that makes any sense. 🤙🤙
lessgooo 🚀
No make no sense
This is advise for those running a car washing business, not personal use
Just get the Active 2.0. It's the best entry level pressure washer.
Those are garbo. They have many issues still. I got one and it only lasted 8 washes before it started to surge. I got a refund and I'm just going to go for a AR630
the craftsman electric pressure washer is good too
@@jackhinson9284 once you try the active 2.0 and you see how much water is actually being pushed out compared to the Rio bees and Craftsman pressure washers you'll never want to go back
Some pros say.the lower the pressure the cleaner it cleans?
And the hose swivel
My Karcher 1700 quit working after 3 -4 uses. Completely dead and this was after fairly light duty. Mine was used to clean the outside of a trailer once a year. I am extremely disappointed.
That is unfortunate. My K1700 is going strong after 2 years of weekly use (winters aside). the inlet fitting chronically leaks ever so slightly, can’t seem to keep the connection tight for long. otherwise it is great. I don’t have any of these upgrades yet, just making do for now. not sure if the shorter gun is better to get first or the more flexible hose. Not springing for everything at once.
You might as well buy a quality PW if you are going to up grade with extra parts.
What was the hose?
How about I don’t buy the washer and buy one with all the upgrades on it already
It's actually $110 on Amazon right now.
just get the harbor freight gun it’s 25 and get the cheap ass Pressue washer from Home Depot. Foam cannon anything from amazon it works just fine trust me I’ve been doing this for a minute.
The yellow perils are a waste of money they only have a working life of between 50 and 100 hours all because they have plastic internals which fail dramatically you’ve done upgrades that are usually standard especially the hose on better made pressure washers
U can buy another for 130 dollars after those 100 hours I’m sure u made ur money back
its some pricey ass upgrades. A 35 dollar hose and gun off amazon will do you just fine.
Yep! I have plenty of other videos saying the same thing. These are just the specific upgrades we've made to our 3 pressure washers 🙌🏽
@@propercareusa I think another thing to look at is 97% of people who watch your videos are probably just casual enthusiast but if you are running a business then I can see those upgrades worth it
Just get the whole set up at OG
Lol why pay more though. Always better to buy from the source. Even OG says something about better by going to the source.
Upgrading the tip is important 😏
bro what
what did he saayyyyy
I rather buy a Honda and place a spoon engine in it with a t66 turbo some nose and a motec exhaust.
Longer… sturdier… hose ? ;)
The standard hose is fine 😂
You should definitely upgrade the hose but just get a $20 sooprise short gun instead of a $120 one
For the ppl talking abt the upgrades y’all should ask me that I own a pressure washing business, most of my equipment cost the same or double as my pressure washers😂
I have a friend in Tanzania that wants to get into this business. He doesn't have access to decent equipment. Where can he get a power or pressure washer from, near eastern Africa.
🤔if your friend doesn’t know and he lives in Africa how the hell would we know 😂unless he buys it in Europe and ships it to Tanzania would be less money in shipping.🤷🏻♂️
Bro the gun itself cost just as much as the fucking pressure washer
Dead 😂
So it costs about $600...??
not sure how you can say it's a great pressure washer for $140 if it costs another $320 on upgrades to make itto make it usable , basically just spend $450 on a proper jetwash
We also have $600 AR pressure washer and did the same upgrades on it. Everything can be upgraded to something better. You can buy the Kranzle K1322TS pressure washer for $1000 and it doesn't come with the hose, wand, or nozzles 😅
Stock electric pressure washers suck... the average 2000 psi is good enough but its the gpm that makes them useless. The trick is to open up the case and get to the pump assembly. Now take off the pump inlet valve and unloader outlet because the bore is too small and doesnt allow enough water in. Theres 3 types of inlet and outlet connections either threads, cotter pin or quick connect and the size is universal. Order new ones online with a larger bore... viola
All the upgraded prices 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So what happens if you spend $500 on a pressure washer with a much higher GPM and nicer hose and a better gun? Lol
you still wont get a short gun or a foam cannon included with your pressure washer.
@@ShrimpCracka but you can’t order any pressure washer with a short gun or a foam cannon anyway. So what’s ur point?
Bro they make other products are really good and way cheaper. For the homeowner of course. Pros sure, it’s different.
So another words just buy a good three or $400 pressure washer from the start and then you don’t have to do any extra purchases because just two of the items you talked about equals over $300
Or just buy something like the little dewalt electric pressure washer that u atleast don't need a new wand or if ur gonna spend 400 bucks just buy a nicer one to begin with
Let me save you some time. Get a McKillans stubby gun for 50 bucks. Get an Uberflex/Flexzilla hose for 50 bucks. Skip the $40 rubber spray tip... you shouldn't be anywhere close enough to your paint using a pressure washer to "accidentally" hit the car.
Full machine $120 cost of plastic attachment $1000
Yo this guy really getting ripped off with these prices
lmao
So im into for $1000
Seems like you're good at math.
Then buy for 1000€ new one better no need to buy upgrade!
💯👍🏼
If that MTM gun such a high quality gun why does the trigger shake back and forth wtf 😂
So now we've got a $500 pressure washer. I'd rather just buy a better one to start with add a flexilla, Amazon wand, quick connects, and a 1.1 orifice.
Just get a better one 😊
How much gpm does that Karcher 1700 have?
i measured 1.2 ish gpm with a 2.0 orifice. This output @ 1000 psi. I registered about 700-800 psi with a 3.0 nozzle and got closer to 1.5 gpm.
Those are garbo numbers.
Has more than enough to detail vehicles which I think most viewers are interesting in using it for
@@pullingthestrings5233what’s Garbo numbers?
So basically spend more on a better pressure washer that you don’t have to upgrade
It's like saying if you buy a Porsche GT3, you have the best/fastest car. You can always make upgrade to any already great product. We made the same upgrades to our $600 pressure washer
Well not really.. even the high end ones come with junk accessories
So basically the power washer costs $320 dollars.
U have a $5 dollar old ass pressure washer and ur telling us to buy a $140 hose and new gun attachments ! I don't know who ur selling products for because your getting screwed on what ur paying for pressure washer attachments lol And U make the statement that you have a wonderful amazing pressure washer bro I think that was a kids radio lol
Damn bro
So on a way ,juts get a different item
even our $650 pressure washer we make these upgrades
As a person from third world country Uganda, I can to learn what to get. These are too expensive. 😢. Where is the budget stuff.
Bro spent more money on the hose and gun than the washer.
The more I watch your videos, if I was a customer and see the “ unprofessional “ things you do I would walk right out. That thing you call a pressure washer is a toy. All the upgrade had to cost kore than the pressure washer. Get yourself a professional pressure washer. In one of my detail shops that is 80’x 100’ I have two ( 2 ) professional electric wall mounted pressure washers. They are 230V 1 phase, 1500PSI. I also bought hose reels that are mouthed to the wall with 100’ of 3/8 non marking hose. I mounted a stainless tell shelf with all the attachments. I have a nozzle holder mounted to the wand to keep all the nozzles within reach for quick change. For 1634.00 get yourself a professional pressure washer and for 200.00 more get a hose reel and mount it to the wall. We normally completely foam 4 cars at one time and let the foam work for about 4-5 minutes then foam again and ONE person washes all four vehicles. When they are done with one it gets moved to another part of the garage and the detailing begins. Anything from complete paint correction, to simple hand wax to ceramic coatings. If your trying to save money buying a “ homeowner “ pressure washer it’s going to fail and cost you even money in the end.
Who cares what anyone uses lol. Just produce the results and that's it. I can care less about what a "real" pressure washer is haha
@@propercareusa You always talk about cost and prices and how you make money, well if you are using a consumer pressure washer to do a professional job you will only get a consumer end result. Buying professional equipment and your overhead is much less expensive because you aren’t replacing equipment all the time. I would love to put one of my detainers against one of your detainers and give them a pre-determined amount of time to do a complete detail including a full paint correction and complete interior detail including plastic trim restore and carpet recolor and engine bay degrease and shine. I don’t know where you are located, I’m in southwestern Pennsylvania but I own a condo in Florida. If your in Florida let me know I’ll come visit. Lol
I do not care in the slightest lol. I'm sorry
@@propercareusa You don’t care because your not a professional detailer. I checked and saw your not a member of IDA. I really don’t think you could meet the standards to become a member. Hey whatever works for you. Good luck.
lmaoo. I gotta screenshot this and share it on IG. this is hilarious
God daym he going to have $600 in a POS pressure washer
we do this as a business so it makes sense. We also have a $600 pressure washer that did the same upgrades. So in total it was $1100ish
Better off getting an AR630
you still gotta buy the hose and wand lol
I’m not tryna bend to wash driveways
For the amount of upgrade cost you can find a better electric power washer that comes with those things. Google is a friend. LoL
No swivel?
Yes this gun can attach a swivel. Check MTMHYDRO
Needed to keep the video short haha. We also have a lance, foam cannon, and on a hose reel. All things necessary for a high performance pressure washer setup.
