Jim Morrison voice is seductive. ❤❤❤.
Roadhouse Blues is another banger 🔥🔥
Written by guitarist Robby Krieger. He wrote/cowrote several notable Doors songs including "Light My Fire", "Love Me Two Times", and "Love Her Madly".
Great pick. Check out When The Music Is Over by the Doors
Curtis Amy on sax.
Behind the sound of his bluesy and aggressive rock and roll edge, Morrison had the voice of a world class crooner
The string and horn arrangements in "Touch Me" were a sonic departure from their earlier sound, but the jazz saxophone solo fit the song perfectly for its times as well. With artists like Van Morrison and Steve Winwood paving the way, and Blood, Sweat & Tears, Joe Cocker, and Chicago Transit Authority on the horizon, 1969 marked the beginning of what might be called the jazz fusion era of sixties rock and roll.
To each his own. Beauty is in the ear of the beholder. I was never a huge Doors fan - overproduced but they were very popular. Very Las Vegas - I agree!
The ending is taken from a tv commercial that was current at the time that went like this : “AJax laundry detergent is STRONGER THAN DIRT”
I didn't think many people knew that, Jim didn't know how to end that song so they came up with the Ajax commercial Clever!
Wow,very interesting.
Great 👍 to see you love this) just brought back great memories 🎶🎶🤘
In an interview Morrison was asked what musical artists he listened to. Morrison responded Peggy Lee.
Hey Biz! I'm here again! How about some "Shamans Blues"! That's the next song on this LP anyways. Peace!
“Smooth as an Operator” …..well said Biz 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
You’re taking care of bizness. Keep up the good work 😊
Love The Doors, bro check out When the music is over, live at the Hollywood bowl, the performance is fire 🔥
Probably my favorite Doors song, or at least my first favorite Doors song. Interesting tidbit. At the end of the song, they say the Tide detergent slogan "stronger than dirt" because the beat is the same
True fun fact.
Great sax solo at the end!
This is one of my favorite Doors song.
Love the Doors from 1968 . I remember being in Fort Ord California at this time . My husband was waiting to leave for Vietnam. Thanks for the memories Biz .
I was stationed at Fort Ord for about a year after I came back from Iraq. I experienced an earthquake at Fort Ord.
@@jackasswhiskyandpintobeans9344 Was it a bad earthquake, I have experienced quite a few I am originally from Southern California ,thank you for serving our country.
@@user-yj7iq6um8g The earthquake I experienced was just a small murmur, but it was weird. It was about 0200. I was in the barracks by myself playing a game on my 286sx. The building kinda swayed back and forth and there was a slight rumbling noise. It lasted no more than 10 seconds. Very disconcerting. At Fort Ord I was in the 8ID.
@@jackasswhiskyandpintobeans9344 I think the worst one I felt was in a car on my way to work with a friend. We were in an older part of town where the buildings were made of brick. Well the car felt like we had flat tires and the traffic lights were swaying really hard and the bricks from the buildings started coming down and the windows were breaking. I think we were in shock all we were worried about was getting to work lol.
@@user-yj7iq6um8g The oddest thing about an earthquake is that there is nothing you can do. You can't run and you really can't protect yourself in any way.
❤❤❤. The music of my teenage years! Thanks for the great review! ☮️❤️😎
Soft Parade was a transitional album for The Doors, so not quite as popular as their first 3. Still, some really great, if different, songs.
And it ends with”Stronger Than Dirt”!
Taken from Ajax commercials that were popular at the time.
4:43 You were correct. Maybe if Morrison had survived, he would have become a crooner with a Vegas show.
LOL to below comment yes ladies loved Jim a lot. Shame he died what a singer, poet, and songwriter he was OK I subscribed I see you love music a lot
Check out the title Song, The Soft Parade
Touch me Biz.
This song was a more radio friendly one. Designed to appeal to the masses. I like it, but I like their psychedelic more out there ones better. Try Strange Days or The End of the Night
Damn, that was fire!
Been down so long- Th doors.
If you can handle That try Jethro Tull- Licomotive breath. Hav2B in th mood for it.
Oh man you gotta do the Title Track the soft parade it'll take you for a long ride😂❤
The Music's Over is a must
Love it
WATCH BIZMATIK mande um alô aqui pro Brasil 🇧🇷 boa noite meu chapa
Always reminded me a bit of Neil Diamond with the orchestra. Good pick!
When I was out and about today, I bought a bottle of Macallen 12yo Sherry oak casks and a bottle of Laphroaig quarter cask. Macallen is only Macallen with the Sherry cask not the double oak. Very tasty stuff.
SHARE SOME WITH ME LMAO
@@watchbizmatik If you stop by my house, I crack open a 30yo Talisker. I live in the Minneapolis Metro.
Biz, try some Macallan 12 in the sherry casks. Don't mess with the Macallan Double Oak.
@@watchbizmatik If you like peat Laphroaig is very good but I prefer Ardbeg.
THE LOUNGE LIZARD KING IN ALL HIS VEGAS GLORY..MORRISON WAS TOTALLY UNIQUE
I read that Jim hated this song, he thought it was pop rubbish but I always liked it. To me the music is not poppy, they are jamming
Original lyrics were come on come on hit me, babe I believe Morrison was the one that changed lyrics. Kugler Was the one that wrote it
hey yo
🙏❤🌹 Jim & Ray 🌹❤🙏
Stronger than dirt aint that right bro!
Come on, man! If yer gonna do the Soft Parade album, ya just gotta do the title song!
sinatra on peyote
So much pot smoked and beer drunk way back. Thank you Biz.
Jim sounds a bit like a crooner maybe like a lounge singer.
The first time I heard this on the radio, it didn't have them singing "stronger than dirt", echoing a well known TV commercial for Ajax, laundry detergent or something. I heard the musical motif though and it conjured the commercial in my head. The next time listening on radio, it was there. Go figure, completing history by filling in pieces after the fact. See also the Tubes.😊❤
