I get excited anytime I see these breakdowns, it's nice to have to show the work done on a single film faster than having to wait to create a showreel of all projects

Clearly you havent seen the movie. This took place years before the events of the original Predator film, and the creature is differently evolved and had more primitive technology altho still more advanced than the humans

The designer has explained why it looks different, they seemed to put a lot of thought into everything.

This looks like a mashup of Disney's Jungle book, and Avatar. Really cartoony and styalised. Nothing like the originals.
