One day my Pastor and I were talking and she told me that those who don't fit in, are those that God has set apart for himself. Meaning you are destined for greatness. I'll never forget that. All About Aries Girl, literally deal with this at work on the daily. I had to professionally get one of my coworkers together (my white coworker 😒🙄) and because I’m newer than her, my coworkers side with her even though she was CLEARLY wrong, and I’m pretty much on the out now. Jackie your palette is seriously one of my favorites of 2019 and in general. I use it all the time. I'm in the very fair category but cool-yellow to golden undertones, and it totally works for my complexion. But even if it didn't, you're damn right you should be making your palette with yourself in mind, because that's why people are going to buy it. And dark skinned ladies of all ethnic backgrounds are still so ignored in the beauty industry, which goes beyond just complexion products, that your palette was very needed. I'm sure you already know it, but you are doing the right things, girl. Keep it up.
Ive been wondering if more ethnic oriented makeup might work for me, and I was eyeing her palette for that reason. All the ethnically euro origin palettes don't look at all like their color on me as it does them. Jackie really stands for my life motto: "No one is in charge of your own happiness outside of yourself." Others can be an influence and exist around you, and it can be your conscious choice to allow some of those opinions to be important and shape your own, but ultimately what goes on around you is not what is going on with you. I have felt like this for my entire life. I’m about to be 31 and I realize, not fitting in is perfectly fine. In fact, it helps me keep my sanity. I can get along just fine in a group of girls, but I never feel the need to become best friends with everyone just to have someone to chill with on a Saturday night. I’m not a UA-camr , but I was always volunteering at my son’s school and even became the PTA President and was bullied to the point of crying every single day, because apparently I put on too much makeup, I fixed my hair, smiled too much, was too friendly and too helpful. All things that I grew up thinking were qualities in a person and not faults, but apparently now are bad things. 🤷🏻♀️😒 This world is so hateful and it makes me sad that my boy will grow in this awful world. I still teach him that being kind and friendly are important, but it’s difficult to continue to do that every day. One day I was dropping off a package at a UPS store and held the door for an elderly lady. She thanked me and whilst another woman was watching, the elder woman allowed me to take a spot on front of her. (I tried not to but she truly insisted) I was waited on and while leaving, I told the elder woman I hoped she had a good day. She returned the verbal generosity. The woman that observed our interactions proceeded to then ask the elder woman if she needed her to hold the package for her. My heart was filled with so much warmth. It is my belief that by witnessing acts of kindness between two people who appeared to be from completely different walks of life, it led the other woman to also help the elder woman. As everyone should. That one moment I witnessed made up for so many negative moments experienced prior to. Be encouraged. People like you and I may seem few and far in between but I like to think and hope we bring out the best in others. 💜🙏🏾 Take care!

All About Aries Girl, literally deal with this at work on the daily. I had to professionally get one of my coworkers together (my white coworker 😒🙄) and because I’m newer than her, my coworkers side with her even though she was CLEARLY wrong, and I’m pretty much on the out now. Coworkers don’t speak to me, don’t ask me to go to lunch anymore, made a separate group/text chat without me in it, etc. And I for the life of me cannot find it in me to care lmao I’m not kissing her ass to get back in good. Jackie your palette is seriously one of my favorites of 2019 and in general. I use it all the time. I'm in the very fair category but cool-yellow to golden undertones, and it totally works for my complexion. But even if it didn't, you're damn right you should be making your palette with yourself in mind, because that's why people are going to buy it. And dark skinned ladies of all ethnic backgrounds are still so ignored in the beauty industry, which goes beyond just complexion products, that your palette was very needed. I'm sure you already know it, but you are doing the right things, girl. Keep it up.
Ive been wondering if more ethnic oriented makeup might work for me, and I was eyeing her palette for that reason. All the ethnically euro origin palettes don't look at all like their color on me as it does them. I'm not stereotypically colored ethnic person, and once I finish the awful ones I have somehow, I'm going to go for hers.

Jackie really stands for my life motto: "No one is in charge of your own happiness outside of yourself." Others can be an influence and exist around you, and it can be your conscious choice to allow some of those opinions to be important and shape your own, but ultimately what goes on around you is not what is going on with you. You can acknowledge it, but a group or community mentality is not your mentality if you are your own person. Jackie is such a role model for those who are working on becoming themselves in a world full of group mentality. We need more Jackie in this world so more people can see the importance of true individuality and conscious thought

I have felt like this for my entire life. I’m about to be 31 and I realize, not fitting in is perfectly fine. In fact, it helps me keep my sanity. I can get along just fine in a group of girls, but I never feel the need to become best friends with everyone just to have someone to chill with on a Saturday night. I’d rather have a small handful of really good friends than waste my time and energy with a group of people who don’t make me a better person.

I feel you girl. I’m not a UA-camr , but I was always volunteering at my son’s school and even became the PTA President and was bullied to the point of crying every single day, because apparently I put on too much makeup, I fixed my hair, smiled too much, was too friendly and too helpful. All things that I grew up thinking were qualities in a person and not faults, but apparently now are bad things. 🤷🏻♀️😒
This world is so hateful and it makes me sad that my boy will grow in this awful world. I still teach him that being kind and friendly are important, but it’s difficult to continue to do that every day.

One day I was dropping off a package at a UPS store and held the door for an elderly lady. She thanked me and whilst another woman was watching, the elder woman allowed me to take a spot on front of her. (I tried not to but she truly insisted)
I was waited on and while leaving, I told the elder woman I hoped she had a good day. She returned the verbal generosity. The woman that observed our interactions proceeded to then ask the elder woman if she needed her to hold the package for her.
My heart was filled with so much warmth. It is my belief that by witnessing acts of kindness between two people who appeared to be from completely different walks of life, it led the other woman to also help the elder woman. As everyone should.
That one moment I witnessed made up for so many negative moments experienced prior to. Be encouraged. People like you and I may seem few and far in between but I like to think and hope we bring out the best in others. 💜🙏🏾 Take care!
