- The Reloop RMX-44BT is a stripped-back four-channel club mixer, with all the basics, but nothing else except the addition of a Bluetooth input. Who is it aimed at? Phil Morse takes a look in this full review.

Great to see an oldskool style standard mixer hit the market over all the digital\controllers. Kids today are so lucky to start off in these times. We had simple analogue ones with a host of nothing for over 20 years back in the day. The 3 band eq was the only new tool from early 90s until mid 2000s then FX were added. Now it's about the dedicated filter knob per channel is a must have requirement 🤗
It's great what we have access to these days!
@Jayo Delaware... and having basic equipment forced you to be creative. Echo, Delay etc that are on today’s equipment came from old school DJ’s buying 2 copies of their favourite tunes & practicing endlessly to see what they could come up with!
First of all, thank you and congratulations for your reviews, always clear and detailed. For me, a lifelong amateur home DJ, it is a mixer that has everything I need at an affordable price. For example, I would use it like this: ch1 for PC (daw, etc. via audio interface) - ch2&3 for turntables - ch4 for smartphone/tablet as a samples player. The only doubt I have is in the management of signal levels, that is, I would have preferred a slightly wider led meter scale, to allow for more accurate adjustment. I'm probably wrong, it's probably just a matter of practice, I'm not a pro, but still I think it's an important feature that wouldn't have affected the price too much.
p.s.: written with Google translator, I apologize for any inaccuracies
Your ears are the best adjusters of signal levels! 👍
It's great to see a Bluetooth feature on a separate channel so that you can connect your phone just a backup to play some tracks whenever the Players stop working.
Definitely!
A decent back to basics 4 channel mixer by the looks of things.
Phil, I think it'd be great if you could implement some sound demos in your videos by comparing the sound quality between similarly priced mixers.
Thanks for the suggestion
@@digitaldjtips you're welcome. I just feel it's something that tends to be missing in a lot of DJ gear reviews. I find myself having to read through tons of forums and live mixes to work out what sounds good and what sounds bad.
Love it! Reminds of, like you said, the basics. I agree about the power input, it's got to have the standard power cord for me. I believe that's a type B plug format. Great video.
Thanks!
I went out and brought this mixer and packed my djm600 away. The reloop is so much more enjoyable to use. Just the right feature for a straight out techno dj..
Looks like you’ve got plenty of years of service out of your old one though
Neat, love the Bluetooth feature, in a private party/wedding you can basically take any request with that, and nowadays phones are removing the headphone jack, so BT is the only way to "plug" them to the mixer.
I just can't like the appearance tho, it looks very very basic
Too true re no headphones sockets...
I have this mixer, with a DVS setup, powered by an AVR. I don’t get any led readout on either the volume faders or the master volume (if I adjust the EQ a little, I might get one bar. Anything I can do to get some kind of readout?
No idea, sorry!
Any other recommendations for a mixer with good phono inputs? Or do I just buy a PLAYDifferently 1.4??
Buy the PLAYDifferently - you know you want to anyway ;)
Hi Guys I notice there are only two line inputs on this mixer . I plug a sound card into an existing mixer via rca from my laptop. Can I use the cd line inputs on this mixer to do that as well.
Many thanks
Sorry, not too sure what you're asking here, or what you're trying to achieve.
@@digitaldjtips Basicly is a line input the same as a cd input ? Thanks guys
What is the sound quality compared to a similarly featured Pioneer?
Similar
@@digitaldjtipswhat do you mean similar? Between a djm 800 and a 900nx2? Like a djm 750? A djm 750mk2?
So im using my dads technics and im also using a amplifier but it sounds ass... im a newbie here so i dont know what to do. Can somebody help?
We'd need more info than that to help
The Blue tooth feature sounds attractive.
Good for casual use :)
@@digitaldjtips i commented before fully watching. With the new move to wireless I was hoping it was (Bluetooth) out to speakers v.s in from device. Still neat.
@@madsoldierman1407 yeah, a nice little handy feature to have.
looks like it would make a good back up mixer
Yeah for sure :)
Only 1 ground?
kool!
😀
i remember the days of vinyl before the first djm-500, there were NO EFFECTS OR FILTERS!!!! So needless to say you had to be good at transitions, no echo outs to save the day! lol
Very true :)
Hmmm...no Send/Return.
Nope!
@Robert F... my DJM400 doesn’t have send/return either but I just run it through the rca master output. Works great!
@@lustforlow-end6022 Thanks!
I love you Reloop, but this is not it 🤦🏿♂️.
What are you after? :)
