Thankyou Bill for the demos. Very impressed with the practical applications of the compressor, reverb and delay. Your settings with the crescendo and the reverse delay are very nice additions for this particular style.
Glad you found them useful! Reverse delay is definitely interesting. I keep finding uses for it, especially when stacked with another delay in a larger setup.
Agreed! TC Electronics ROCKS!! I got the Hall Of Fame 2 and the 3 TonePrint s I use fer that are the Fats Vern by Kirk Fletcher, Dual Ambience by Pete Thorn, and Allan's Big Plate by Jake Willson. I also just got the Flashback II Delay. I love crystal mode. And I got the Walkin' On The Moon TonePrint by Andy Summers in there too. Keep up the good work!
I have spent waaaaaaaay more than that getting my Ambient gear set up the way I wanted it, but soooooo worth it. Lots to learn and having a blast at the same time.
Thanks for the inspiration! I rebuilt this board using my Helix and it's a refreshing to do something a bit different. Fun note, if you have a noise gate before the Crescendo it doesn't work unless the noise gate is set to be less sensitive than the Crescendo. That headache lasted about an hour before I realized what I was doing wrong, ha.
It's certainly gets the job done but you lose some flexibility trying to do everything in a single unit. For instance, the looper cannot be split. So it cannot be used traditionally at the end of the loop while simultaneously used to feed a delay like you discussed in your loopers and delay video. I set your patch up using a twin reverb sim. May I ask what you actually use?

great series. thanks! the hall of fame 2 a real nice reverb.
Glad you liked the series! The HOF2 really is nice especially for the price!

True - I have invested more than that too. But - to get started, you can keep it pretty inexpensive with some smart choices.
Worth every penny for the joy and peace it now brings me. Thank you for all the tutorials.

Ah, the Helix - I think that might be the upgrade path from Eleven Rack at some point. And great point about the noise gate and the Crescendo!!

Do you mean the amp sim on the Eleven Rack? It's one of the Fender models, the Deluxe Reverb, I believe. And I use a 2X12 Marshall cab sim with it.
That's exactly what I meant, thanks! I wasn't too far off guessing twin.
Thanks! The hypergravity seems like a nice lil' compressor!
It is indeed!
I've had the HOF2 in my Amazon wish list for too long. Pulling the trigger tonight, along with an ebow. I told my wife you said I deserve it :-))
Don't get me in trouble with her!! :-)
I’m getting my first delay soon
it's a fantastic life, enjoy and indulge!
Yes!
The volume swells with the Tube Pilot starts to sound like Blade Runner!
I've not seen the sequel yet, but listened to the soundtrack today. I can see why you might say that!
It was so peaceful. I started to go to sleep during the video. Ha!
Love it! May I ask what AMP you use?
I use the Avid Eleven Rack amp modeling system. I still have 3 or 4 real amps, but very rarely use them.
You must realize that ambient guitar is the next best tidal wave trend
oh yeah, we've been waving from the tides for years.
How are you powering this setup? Thanks for the videos!
Some individual power supplies. Probably purchasing an inexpensive unit to power them all together.
what about the mel 9 into the ud stomp and big sky?
that's not really TC Electronic, right?
Would be a lovely combination I am sure. Sounds like an experiment to work on!!
See ? This is what happens when you do dope with your professor! No I love the ambient tones though.
