    Why wouldn’t you connect it to the auxiliary switches like Ford has prewired everything for 🤦🏻‍♂️

      That's exactly what I was thinking. It clearly has it.

      Very odd indeed. Plus it would help to see how to do it properly. I'm guessing they uninstalled it right after this

      @miceshinoda Рік тому

      Yea not sure why, though it might be that you'd have to drill a hole to get the light bar wires through

    • @ccclaw13
      @ccclaw13 Рік тому

      @@miceshinoda the wires are tied up under the hood by the firewall so it would actually be even easier than what they did

      Does this bronco have the AUX switches? If not then that would explain why they did it the way they did.

    This is clearly not a permanent install XD what a mess.

    Dont pinch that wire between the rubber plug and the firewall - simply cut a slot in the rubber so the wire is not frayed on the metal - the whole point of the rubber is to make sure you dont cause a short when that wire rubs on that sharp metal edge.

    Okay 2 questions here.
    1. The gap created by the light bar's wire into the bonnet. Won't water go through it when it rains or car wash?
    2. How do I cut the switch wire and just connect the whole thing to auxiliary switches?

    the accessory cover on the roof sometimes is replaced by the factory roof rack. I wonder if it will still mount.

    Was that wiring ran down the outside of the a-pillar? That's not considered "installed". Also that wound up excess wiring that was zip-tied and tucked inside the fender is not considered "clean" wiring. This video would be great if I had a rust bucket of a 4-wheeler but definitely not an install standard on a $60k vehicle.

    • @ExtremeTerrainBronco
      @ExtremeTerrainBronco  Рік тому

      You can tie this into the factory auxiliary switches (circuit D) if you prefer not to see the wire and have that option available!

    • @Sighlense
      @Sighlense Рік тому

      So then go ahead and drill a hole in your 60K vehicle for your "clean" install. Nobody's stopping ya...

    What wire color do I use if I wanted to use aux switch instead?

    • @t28001
      @t28001 2 роки тому

      For this light - you should use Aux Switch 1 - which is the Yellow wire - that yellow wire - needs to connect to the brown and white wire which goes to the glove box.

      There is a wire that runs up the passenger side mounting bracket but the video I saw said you have to drill a hole to access it. Not a fan of that. You're best bet is to search op a diagram of the aux switch wiring.

    How do you wire to the Aux Switch? Do you have to cut LED cable?

    • @ExtremeTerrainBronco
      @ExtremeTerrainBronco  2 роки тому

      You would have to cut and splice into the auxiliary switches. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

      Aux 1 to 50" light bar goes...... Yellow wire in Aux bundle to Brown/White or solid white which goes from Engine Bay to behind glove box - from Glove box there is a wire that goes up the A Pillar (its Grey and Orange) - connect the wire you chose brown/white or solid white to that grey/orange wire. - I will also add - grounding of a light up here is super important - use the Ground on the passenger side airbag above the window - its solid and this way all your connections are inside the vehicle - way cleaner and easier to manage than other videos I have seen trying to ground outside on the mount points.

    • @ExtremeTerrainBronco
      @ExtremeTerrainBronco  Рік тому

      Ford has wiring diagrams specifically for this! However, for this lightbar you can tie this into the Non-Power Circuit 'D' (Grey/Orange wire) which comes out of the the right hand visor. That corresponding wire that's pre-routed to the engine bay can be attached to any of the AUX switch you choose!

    Another useless explanation that doesn't show how the wire goes up to the light bar on top down the a pillar and in under the hood That's the important part how crappy does it look that they don't even show you?

    • @osamaismymama7907
      @osamaismymama7907 8 місяців тому

      Most of them are stuffing the wire in the gap between the windshield and the A pillar, then using silicone to keep it on to the A pillar in the gap. They didn’t do that here in this one because I’m sure they immediately took it off.
