THANKS FOR WATCHING! - Навчання та стиль
I bet the deer just stand outside that fence and drool over those greens. Just beautiful
Sound like what ever they r spraying in the atmosphere is hurting our gardens, many gardeners r complaining about the same thing.
😆🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The deer protection caught me off guard I just couldn’t stop laughing. Thank you I needed that this morning. I can imagine how much y’all hate the noises but are willing to do what you have to do
That aphids count was off the charts.
Hope your back feels better soon!
Haha the predator alarm gotcha!!
That feeling you described feeling from the sun described exactly what I have felt about the sun for the last 2 years. At first I thought it was just me because it started around the time I got overheated while taking tetracycline one June. They didn't tell me about staying out of the sun. But now I know it's not that, and it's everywhere
My husband and and I have been saying it for the past 2 years also . Thought it might be our aging skin , ha ha ! But NO It can be 65 or 70 degrees and it feels like 100 and burns like crazy !! 🥵
I'm so sorry to hear about both the issue with your back and the aphid issue..I agree, just pull out the remaining Kale if needed..we are expecting cooler, well, cold temps down to the mid 20s here in Southern Virginia on Monday and Tuesday. This is just crazy and it's only the beginning. I've waited to direct sowing but I will start on Weds after that cold front passes- I'm afraid that we're going to lose our peaches here again this year. They are in full bloom as temps have been in the lower 70s, which also is crazy here.
I remember you sharing about keep your eyes on the sun and I believe with the atmospheric changes, this year will truly be exposing that issue.
Prayers continue for healing, health and protection. Thank you for all that you share and teach
You noticed the things you have covered doing so well (its filtered from the rain), I suspect it could it be something in the rain that is affecting the rest.
When you plant Kale or turnips, try putting a few marigold seeds in at the same time. That is supposed to help keep the aphids away
Danny, aphids are a symptom of low nutrition in the plant sap. Please watch Advancing Eco Agriculture video "Why insects cannot attack healthy plants". You can foliar feed and get your Brix over 8 and they will stop feeding. Been practicing and teaching this for several years, and it works.
You are absolutely correct👍Learning the same
PS. I'm also seeing great success with aphid control adding crab and lobster shell meal. Add a couple months prior to planting as with any organic amendments. No aphids at all last year with this amendment. It's the Chitin which induces the plant to be more pest resistant.
Will do! Aphids over winter in my garden and are attacking earlier with each year.
I will know this week my soil test will be in on it.
@@pecangrovems I know it's not easy but we are learning not to rely as much on numbers and test reports as we use to and just slowing down enough to hear what the plants are trying to tell us. I know that's a new or different paradigm but one I'm enjoying learning about. It's also becoming very productive. I've always struggled with one thing or another in the garden, but year by year I'm seeing things consistently improve now. It's like I'm begging for the 1st time to see and understand the synchronicity in nature like
I nver have. It's lots of fun and kind of scary at first but I've never seen results like we are starting to have. Hope the best resolving your aphid infestation. 👍
The carrots are beautiful and the cabbage
Good Lawd! I’d say that is some foolproof protection!
Your cows look so healthy and friendly
Hi Danny and Wanda,i just want to make a suggestion on how to plant your greens so you will have space to walk make a hill like you're hilling potatoes and sow your seeds on top of the hill it works great here in SC. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH ❤🙏
Praying for your back & the aphid issue. Thankful you can harvest the greens. Even though you didn't plan on it all so soon, at least you can can them & freeze them to spread the blessings. We could also see how much the chickens were appreciating the aphid infestation.
I about fell out of my chair laughing when the "deer alarm" went off. That should do the job!!!! My wife, immediately said, "NO, you don't need one of those"...
LoL it will scare you even if you know it's there.
Been using shade cloth over my garden for the last few years. I’m in central LA
Hey Danny, praying for you and Wanda that our good lord heals your bodies and eases any pain.
Just wanted to share what I think might be going on with those 2 tomato plants! Years ago I planted tomato transplants, some lived, but eventually they died as well! One by one they all started dying! So I dug into the soil around their root systems and found that grub worms were eating their little root systems before they had a chance to develop, grow and spread out! So I pulled them up and had to start all over again! What I done was, I took 20 oz. styro-foam coffee cups, cut the bottoms out of them, turned it upside down, pushed the leaves and the plant gently into the smaller diameter cup end I cut out, then held the roots and gently packed soil at the now, new bottom direction of the cup into a 8 inch hole and covered the soil all around the tomato cup, only leaving an inch and a half of the rim exposed over the soil, and watered them in! To my surprise, It totally worked! A month later I wanted to investigate the root systems, so I gently dug down around the deepest part of the cup to see if the roots were starting to grow out from underneath the cup, and they were, by the time those roots had filled into the cup, the plant was already strong and I guess the roots were tough enough that the fat grub worms found them to hard to eat! I live in Florida and have the same sandy grey loam soil to sandy clay loam soil that Pecan Grove has! I hope you give it a try! I'm glad I did, because after that all of my tomato plants thrived and I had tomato's coming out of my ears that year! LOL! Hope maybe this helps y'all! God bless and have a wonderful day!
Danny, look to the sky … CHEM TRAILS, possibly? Just a thought. Regarding aphids on kale. I grew some last summer in pots on my screened in front porch here in AL & they lived thru the Fall but were viciously attacked. My porch is 6’ off the ground!!
I'm a lot like the first rabbit you fed , I be liking them sweet taters too
Good morning and sorry you are having back issues. Thx for PG update. All looking good for early spring planting. My taters are flowering and wax beans a foot tall!
I love watching you do the chores. Thanks for sharing.❤
The carrots , cabbage and greens are beautiful… you have taught me how to grow carrots… mine are planted in syrup tubs
Love when you talk to your cows. Great video
Make your shade cloth like a tarp along the top of your fence kind of like tent ❤ or maybe a plastic of some kind.
Your security caught me off guard & I jumped 😂 All in all, your greens look great!
Me and you got same back. We must of wore em out working all our life
Gosh I hope you back is better soon! My husband has serious back issues, he's had two back surgeries and needs a serious one right now that we have put off because of all the issues in hospitals and sickness. I've had a back surgery as well so we both have severe pain and I just don't think people realize just how excruciatingly back pain really is. We are trying to grow as many herbs as possible that will help us naturally. We could really use a raised bed so I'm not bending quiet as much as I would be with the in ground plants. I sure hope your back straightens itself out quickly and you have no pain as a result. Luv ya! ❤Maybe one day we can visit. We are South Georgia peaches lol! 🍑
Gardening with Leon may be what helps you also especially gardening in containers a wealth of information
Check your onions for allium leaf miner and onion fly. Spinosad on a regular schedule may take care of them.
Up here in OH, the sun wd burn skin thru clothes 3.yrs ago. Kids don't go outside until sunset. Covers necessary on affected plants. New Rules. *Your laying box set-up for chix is really clever.
FYI Aloe sprouting experiment fail for me. Planted 6 bush beans with aloe pieces and 6 w/out. Only one with the aloe sprouted and died 4 days later . All beans without aloe are doing fine.
Regarding the onions and greens affected by sun might be the aluminum toxicity from you know where (been reading many studies). It affects root tips and nutrient intake and cells which makes them weak, insect prone and age early. Grrr 🌧🌧🌧✈
😆🤣
I e been buying shade cloths every other week since you started talking about the Gama rays this year. Really hoping to be better prepared especially on my tomatoes. Aphids are the devil here I. Georgia. No matter how much I spray with the hose they take over my pea beds in a week. I just keep picking and soaking them before I shell. Very frustrating not being able to use the plants in compost pile either.
Just a suggestion. Try hot composting them in a closed container.
I've gardener a little for years. More seriously, maybe 5 years. In that time, I've noticed that most of the plants that "need full sun", prefer afternoon shade. Since I only have so many shady spots, I'm having to get creative.
Yes partial shade is necessary now with the sun in the phase it's going through.
I’m having strange things happening to my veggies as well. The collards came up, but stopped growing. Lettuces and carrots are growing very slowly. The cucumbers came up an d just stopped dead. One pot of green beans is thriving, but the other perished. Anything that lives is having insect issues. These are all in pots with Dr Earth potting soil. I’ve never seen anything like it.
GOD bless you. I am praying for your back. Thank you for the video and especially, the cow birth videos. I am enjoying them.
Getting those greens in Vego raised bed would help your back!
Wondering if since the copper coils helped your strawberries, if they won't help your greens. I don't see any in the video. Anyway, I hope the issue gets solved soon. Thanks for letting us watch you problem solve.
So sorry about your back. Hopefully, it is a temporary issue. Those carrots are beautiful. I have never had success with carrots.
My manual I wrote tells how to grow them.
Thank you for reminding me about manual. Just downloaded it!
Thank you for warning about the aphids and kale. Just getting ready to plant here.
Your green patch looks AWESOME! I know the feelin' on the back pain... I too suffer. I pray you feel better soon.... love your channel!!
I’ve had trouble with aphids if too much nitrogen in the soil.
Thank you for reporting on the weather/sun and the affect it has of your garden, very educational video. My wife wants to move into the south and I wanted to have a garden. This will help us plan what we need to do to help our garden to be successful. May God bless the two of you.
Realease the ladybugs!
and lacewings
Danny and Wanda don’t spray, so the pest predators will arrive in good time.
@@vickisavage8929 you can buy the predators online also.
Wow the cabbage
There may be a vole tunnel under the 2 tomatoes. I have had that happen more than a few times.
Beautiful garden.
Sounds like Halloween 🎃 😊 i didnt know what was going on. I hope your back gets better. I pray so.
I live in the. It’s and this morning I opened the curtains of 5-6 big deer in my backyard! 2 of them jumped a 7’ fence. Im surprised that they haven’t jumped your fencing
We have bone sauce out.
Thank you !
Thank you for the tour & outing!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🕊️🕊️🕊️❤️❤️❤️
That deer motion detector got me LOL. I am sure that works like a charm. At least you caught your pest been trying to catch an armadillo here that seems to be smarter than me LOL. Be praying that aphid infestation can be resolved without loosing to much of your crop. Wishing y'all a blessed day and be praying for Mr. Danny's back to heal up.
Mr. Danny here on the SouthEast coast mine r doing the same thing never seen this before, been trying to figure it out, thanks for sharing
Oh Danny I am so sorry.. Living with back & leg pain daily it isn't any thing I would wish upon anyone. Sending prayers your way.
Yes,the sun is so intense. I have shade cloth on my outside gardens. I need to order more. I had aphids from hell last year. I tried everything to get rid of them. I have a raccoon problem. Got rid of 2 so far. Y'all have a blessed day and much love 💖✝️
Oh man! I need one of those monitors!!
Pest pressure has been bad here in North Florida as well!! God bless y'all and all your hard work!!
That armadillo done lost his shell.
I agree about the sun burning our skin, I noticed it last year. Shade cloth was absolutely necessary and a game changer for me last year. I was wondering if it was too early to put it up here in Louisiana. You answered that for me and I’ll put it up this weekend. Thanks Danny and Wanda!
Zone 8b - Yellow squash wilting in day , zucchini appears more resilient, soil is wet, 60's-70's for highs, growth appears stunted...
Pull dirt upon potatoes to grow more by covering greenery
I can feel the heat on my head, especially my part, when I’m outside. I’ve noticed the same here in FL.
Yeah, I noticed the same in Arizona. A few years ago the energy from the sun changed and made it difficult to be outside.
🙏🏻for your back
I have the same problem with my back Danny. It’s frustrating but I still keep plugging away like u.
I know that’s right … my knee kept giving out yesterday
I'm having the same problems with my onions. I think it has to do with the long cold days that we had here. I think it has a lot to do with the corona mass ejections.
Rest a bit- praying your back gets better
My brother planted same onions you planted. I ordered them before you ordered yours. They are really doing good in big pot but not so good in the garden.
the reason why the plants are wilting is to make their surface area smaller so they losse less moister.then at nite they come back to normal.
3rd...Danny try no till next year using the JADAM organic gardening book as a guide.. It looks like you roto-till your growing fields. That destroys the micro biology that your plants need to fight off pests. Stop synthetic fertilizers.. and sprays...Look over there at thoses woods and gather that natural compost and use it along with all the plants that die off at the end of the season to fertilize your growing fields.. Then make beds out of 6-9" of organic compost over the and with that compost that is all around you. Then plant .. Observe nature and how it grows then do the same.
2nd .. The back pain #1 cause is a recliner chair..If thats what you sit in everyday then take that chair outside and make fire wood out of it..
So sorry to hear about your back. I had a bad aphid attack last year in my sunroom. At least it was just house plants. But it was a pain in the backside. I hate possums, and I’m starting to dislike raccoons as well.
I thought it was just me, but I feel the sunlight stinging my skin just walking around. That’s really got me wondering what it is.
God bless.
Some pest is always after our food. It’s a constant battle.
Whew….what a video! I found myself getting upset over some of the odd things happening with those tomatoes, the aphids and other veg you walked thru. Gone is the predictability you sustained at Deep South. And ouch….sun this intense….in MARCH. Danny, if an experienced gardener like YOU is confronting these issues, what’s in store for those of us without the experience? Curious what’s happening with comm’l growers as well. I’m feeling well-prepared with Vego beds and a bunch of grow bags. Both options are easier for my aging body - and, most importantly, keep my crops up and away from these noxious and aggressive NC weeds. 👍🏻 I’m glad you added some video on those adorable animals. Those cows are like big puppies! Btw, those bunnies will LOVE the greens. Greens are better for their digestive tracts than the sugar in those sweet potatoes. (I love my sweet potatoes and wouldn’t share them …even with my rabbits! 🤣). Thanks for another great video and all that insight.
We love watching your channel
I start worrying early that things aren't growing then after 4-6 weeks things go crazy.
I'm growing Daikon radish for their greens and a fall planting survives through winter...Zone 6
Totally saturate greens with soap water top leaves and underneath the leaves
I tried that with a smaller crop... had to do it for hours and multiple times..
Praying for your back Danny 🙏
Thanks
Hope your back is get better. Where did you get the motion protectors at??
😮Youre moniters ...WHAT THE FER FER IS THAT DUDE😲 LOL, AWESOME!😂
Good afternoon
The dogs are epic!!
Maybe you could place a shade cloth over the garden and after this video played it disappeared from my list of new videos
I love turnips and mustard greens
Lol in the camera
And the same thing happened to my green beans last year I packed it off on the chemtrail great video God bless
Man! Continued prayer for you and your garden! Last year I COULD NOT get my tomatoes and cukes to grow. Makes no sense! Maybe the roots weren't grown because of the CME effect on nutrients in the ground on root growth.
Hello from Louisiana!
6:22 ROFL you already had my attention!
Do you blanch and freeze some of the greens for winter or can you freeze dry the leaves?
Danny I have a bad infestation of aphids on my mustard greens also here in south ga.
Mornin’ folks!
Morning
I was hoping to see turnips mine look like small carrots? have a blessed day
Eight bonide works also
When you soak the green leaves in Water with salt, is it to wash the aphids?
Yes any bugs will turn loose and come off.
Where did you get the noise maker Danny and Wanda ? I would like to have one.
It's in the description below and a pinned comment.
The greens look great. Do you practice intercropping to help mitigate pests?
Yes
Would shade cloth help with the sun and ladybugs for the aphids?
Not shade cloth but row cover might.
