I FINALLY get to test out the Sportster S on my home turf!! Will I still enjoy it as much as I did in Cali? Let's find out. Also, thank god for this new jacket. If yall are looking for a top quality summer jacket I couldn't recommend this one more: imp.i104546.net/EaAJxP
If you can max out the speed, or push it around 215kph, let me know or make a video... Lots of Sportster S having issues where the engine dies... I own one and mine died at 215 and 200kph... some had issues where they shut down at 120, 180 and 200kph...
I bought my Nintendo 64 back in like 19 96 maybe and my first game was Star Wars Shadows of the empire. I also really like that bike but I'd rather have the Fat Bob because if I'm going to pay this much money for that thing then I might as well go look for a used Fat Bob for the same price or even less
I’ve had mine for four months now and it still pulls my trigger. This is my 27th bike spanning some 38 years and I love it. It’s just so playful and I feel so in control. Never in my life have I had such a powerful machine that didn’t want to go 150MPH every time you opened it up and shifted another gear. Fun fun fun!
You can tame this bike a lot with the ride modes. It’s finding one that is the problem. Will probably have several years of experience before one is available to buy. Lol.
Ik chase might not see this comment but ive literally watched every single first ride video at least 3 times ive been watching since the white truck days lol you inspired me to get my first bike as well!! LOVE YOUR CONTENT BRO AND YOUR PERSONALITY
So as someone who works at a Harley dealership, when you said this bike felt “cumbersome” to move around the shop I initially thought it was funny (since it’s our lightest model) but then remembered that you come from a sport bike background, so that honestly makes sense
I had the chance to ride one during my Harley dealership's demo day and MY GOD the bike is fasttttt. people don't wanna admit that a Harley can be fast but my lord this thing is rowdy, the torque and acceleration is insane lol loved it.
I rode the Sportster S back to back with a Kawasaki Z900 a few months back and the Sportster definitely did not feel slow or underpowered compared to the Z. Brutal torque delivery, I loved it
I get so much attention on my bike all positive! People coming up in parking lots asking about what kind of bike it is, and being surprised. Black Sportster S here in Ohio. Absolutely love my experience with my bike so far. Need some louder pipes though 😒

I decided about 2 months ago to finally get a bike after many many years of telling myself that I can have a bike when it makes sense from a practicality perspective. When I started looking at what was out there I saw the Sportster S and fell in love. The thing is just so beautiful. I just wish that I had been riding for a while already, because I feel like the thing is probably a terrible idea as a first bike, lol.
Jesus me....thank god you've reviewed this bike. This has been looking at me menacingly at the harley shop next to my office asking me to buy it. Like the color but i like the burgundy/maroon color. Will be buying this based on what you mentioned here. Really big thanks man and again good job on this video
So for about 4 years now I've been riding a Triumph Bonneville Bobber, and I love it to hell and back don't get me wrong. But I test rode one in the Burgundy color you're talking about and I'm absolutely sold on it. I'm deploying later this year and I'm buying one in black when I get home. 100% an incredible bike to ride. I've never been a Harley guy, but this thing changed me.

Same, love it and about to buy one. It is the perfect balance between cruiser and sport. It looks futuristic and modern after decades of Harley's looking like they belong in the 1950s.
I had a test ride of it today and absolutely loved this bike. It has great engine that is very fan to rev, exhilarating accelaration and unlike heavy Rocket 3 it is a light bike for this category standards and handles very nicely. I never thought of getting a cruiser to myself but this machine is so amazing and pleasant to ride and cool I actually started thinking about getting one. I also absolutely loved the way it looks.
Been watching since the WR vlogs. I’ve probably watched every first ride. And I still think the MT-07 is the bike for me. It was my favorite bike you reviewed back in 2014. And it’s still my favorite in 2022. Although this Harley does look pretty cool.
The exhaust and bronze is what made me order a Indian Scout Rogue. What I do like about HD over Indian are the display and headlight. But I eventually went with Indian due to price being a consideration.
You'll notice that the shifter has a better feedback as the bike approaches break-in (1000 miles US). Also, the shifter will tend to have better feedback if you pre-load the shift lever. To pre-load the shift lever apply slight pressure up on the lever before shifting, then quick clutch pull to friction zone with slight throttle blip. You'll notice the shifter snaps into gear with nice positive feedback. This also improves as the bike breaks in. One of the goals of break-in is to run the transmission through all gears smoothly so that the gear dogs wear in. As the gear dogs wear in the shift feedback improves. That said, the shifter on mine 'still' does not feel like the traditional Harley shifter, even after 1000 miles. But, it is smooth and does have positive feedback. marcus
Love that you are venturing into different bike styles. With your sport style it gives people considering changing styles a look at it. Now if Smort and Beau can just get you on dirt lol
OK great review. Honestly I always root for HD. Glad to see they are coming around and making something that will appeal to those that want something other than a cruiser.
Yup, still got my N64. 😂 Just bought the SPS love the cruise control. Don’t know how I like the “sitting on top of” instead of “sitting in” like my V Rod rides.
I would recommend anyone that's not sure about the bike really need to hop on one themselves. I rode 2 different ones at Sturgis in August and I loved how it felt riding it. Honestly I ride a trike regularly and have been looking for 2s to ride and this bike met what I was looking for out of a 2s that wasn't a sports bike due to how you have to sit and lean riding on them. i was shocked that for 15k that it came with the cruise control and even heated grips.
I mean you're not wrong. I have a Kawasaki Versys Thou but if I had to have a HD then this is the one. It's still third place behind the Triumph Bobber and Indian Scout in my opinion.
Maybe you could make a video of removing the baffles from the exhaust? Just for temporary resolution to buying an exhaust. I’ve heard some with the baffles out and it sounds decent and even shoots flames.

After watching your California Presser I order a 2022 Vivid Black complete with Mid Controls! Love your channel.
You know what mate, you've shown it from angles I've not seen in press shots and it looks even better. I've always though it was a good looking bike but those straight on front and rear shots show a lot more aggression than the svelte side view implies. I really like what I see. When you say it's small though, is it as small as the Livewire? Because as good as that thing looks it feels like a toy with 6'3" of me sitting on it.
