I work here, They don’t cut your hours if you yourself are a cart attendant. My raise was a measley 5 cents… 😂 But I got 3 jobs and Target is flexible!
I start Thursday as seasonal guest advocate and this was so helpful! I don't think i will feel nearly as lost, even though i will be doing other things ❤
Yup. Been working there for about a month. 4:30 AM til at least 11:00 AM. Cool people. They have me pushing toys and sports. I wish our backroom was as large as yours. It's kinda cramped and our toys backstock is almost touching the ceiling.
They have a protype layout that they try to have all stores follow. It is so guests can go to any store and know where what they want is since it is in the same location in every store.
I work as a cart attendant and it’s honestly really easy. All I do is clean the bathrooms (which I rarely do), clean up messes in the store (also rarely happens), push in the carts obviously and then distribute the baskets throughout the store. Honestly it’s a really easy job I just hope to get a decent raise since my bosses praise me for my good work
Not at my store. Like 3 people doing order priorities for the whole store. I sometimes do fulfillment, checkout, drive-ups and stocking in one day because of call-outs.
I worked for Target back in the day and only lasted a week 😂 my supervisor was a real B and the girl who supposedly training me wasn’t. Showing me everything. Then on break she was complaining to another coworker about her schedule ( she was pissed she was training me all week) like wtf
I've been working as a software engineer for like half my life. Is it weird that I dream of working in a place like this? Anyway thanks for the video :)
@@mithikfishoh lol. maybe one day you can live somewhere in america for a little. i recommend a bigger city (the cost 😟) as america generally has a lot for driving especially in texas or somewhere rural
You won’t need your own there’s a box full of device holders at the store for team members to grab. You take one at the beginning of your shift and then put it back when you leave for the day
Hey liked the video :) I’m planning on working at target for a lil while since I’m homeschooled this year (im going to real school next year due to medical reasons) do you think it would be okay to work there from 8-12pm, or four hours? Wanna make sure before seriously attempting to try out for the job
You have to be 18 to work past 9:45 and you’ll probably get asked to extend your availability either later or sooner but definitely not a bad place to work
@@theepicegg542 by the way, I should’ve specified that it was 8 in the morning till 12 in the afternoon😅🤦♀️ so you still think it’s going to be allowed? 🤔
@@shellybell2520 oh yeah sorry about the confusion, then that time frame works great, based on how the target I work at does things the minimum time for a shift is 4 hours with a single 15 min break and target is always looking for people to work in the mornings. I’m sure you’ll still get asked to extend your availability during the day but if you explain how you’re in school then they’ll definitely be fine with it. Hope this helps!
Not to make you panic, but people could still figure out what #s you typed by your hand/finger motions during the parts where you blurred the time clock and zebra devices. Might want to just cut those bits out entirely.
I’ve never witnessed or heard of someone being fired for being slow. However maybe if you’re a seasonal worker they can choose to not keep you on because of that
They don't fire you for being slow. YOu really have to screw up many times to be fired there. They would find a different area for you first before even coming close to being fired.
General Merchandise or Fulfillment. General Merchandise does involve some type of interaction since some people may ask you a question but, usually it’s easy like “where is this” and you don’t need to have a full conversation. cashiers hear all different types of stories. Plus, if you’re in general merch, you can ask to stay in the back and pull the whole day. depends on the store. Fulfillment employees shop for target guests in a timed manner so you have to walk around the store swiftly and grab things. Some people may ignore you if you look too busy. and it’s not too much interactions
Every time I had tried to apply for Target I never got a call back not easy to get employed there and I have a lot of retail experience working for Walmart
That depends on you. If you really need a job I would say go for it. There is a chance that they won't keep you for the long term but usually if you work hard and hey like you, they can keep you.
Do not apply at any Target!!! Worst company in all of retail!!! Horrible, toxic, abusive "managers", annual salary "raises" of 8 pennies, and upper management (higher than a store manager) who doesn't even acknowledge you or say hello as they walk past. Have more self-respect, people! Work at Walmart!
I used to work here. Inside information : They cut your hours every time you get a raise. Just don't be a Cart Attendant.....
why
@@bbseal6174 They use you.

Our "raise" was 8 pennies. A bunch of us walked out on the spot and quit. Worst company I ever worked for. Horrible management, toxic and abusive.
@melt357 I quit working too. Most managers are abusive and power hungry. They get jealous when you make friends with clients and coworkers.

I actually think this is a pretty good training video concept and vote more be made to help set uniform standards across a company by role
That would be awesome if it could become a training video haha, thanks for the compliment I'm happy I could help
I did work there for some time, unfortunately I had some difficult situations . I made a video response describing what happened
