For those of you who wanna work at target here are some tips:
1. Apply during peak times like summer, holidays and around Christmas time
2. Don’t have too many jobs on your resume & only put necessary jobs needed to show your background, ex: don’t put your server job put your Foodlion Job on there
3. Make sure you have open availability because they want to schedule you to the MAX!! My hours were 8am-4pm 5 days a week.
4. If you apply and they send you the online interview make your video ASAP they will skip over you if you don’t do it as fast as they want you to (that’s how I got denied the first time I applied I waited the full 72 hours they give you to do the online interview)
5. If you do all this and still don’t get hired, wait 3 months or so and apply again!! They’ll eventually hire you don’t stress

I work at Walmart. And it’s kinda fun to compare your back room, equipment, break room, and like how you guys do your jobs in general compared to how we work lol. It’s super similar. I’m about to switch to online grocery pick up though.

You have to buy a red shirt ! but sometimes they give out red vests now you can wear casual to orientation because your gonna do paperwork and listen to meetings/ watch videos

hey! i have a question. i’m going to apply to target soon and i would like to work this position, do you have to be a certain age and have certain qualifications for this job? i’m still in high school and i’ve never worked retail before (but i have had 2 other jobs)
Well you have to be 16 or 17 and then when y work here you can’t work after 9pm I think you also have to have some work permit thing signed. The position I worked was general merchandise & you don’t really need per day qualifications your either a good fit or not a good fit.
When do target employees get to buy stuff from target since they get a 10% off discount? Do they only get to buy stuff when they just go to target during their day off?

I used too work at tj maxx for 3 years and I left thank god!! most toxic environment, I was always unhappy there and I was mentally abused all the damn time. Management was AWFUL (they would always talk shit behind my back) they really did treated me unfairly.

out of curiosity I am assuming your target is pretty chill, cuz I'm surprised you weren't just recording on your phone and was with a whole camera, never understood how people filmed these videos without getting in trouble. I know some places are chill I just never thought about filming in my store I worked at do to getting in trouble.
well in reality I got the job just to make the video so this had to be maybe my second or third day! most jobs are strict and if i wanted to actually stay there I wouldn't have been rerecording but I also hide it and go places my managers aren't around

I applied at Walmart and I wasn't selected but I was selected for overnight inbound stocking and I had the interview a d stuff like that and the lady told me that they don't do overnight that they close only at 10 I'm like really then why I was selected then I don't get it.

when youre doing register does the register tell you how much money to give back to the customer or do you have to do the math in our head
it tells you how much money you need to give back to the person. it'll say the total: $5.37 and then the person will give you their money they'll either use car/apple pay or exact change or something above. you put in how much they give you: $6.00 and it'll tell you what to give back to them from the register: $0.63.
