A friend of mine got covid three times during the shutdowns. She got everything ordered in, and virtually never left her apartment. Almost certainly she got it each time from the delivery people, because there really was no other way for her to have gotten it.
And that guy was drinking from the customer's drink while doing deliveries... double UGH!
I sing to my plants too, maybe that's why some of them died, judgy things
Scientifically proven singing/talking to plants in a good way or playing music helps them grow. Sorry if you can't sing maybe the plants were being polite in letting you know...

I think that may have been the intention. Saves the whole mess that comes with "sorry, I have a boyfriend" response. Scare the heck out of them instead of trying to get them to go away without the pleading and following insults. :)

I'm a dude. Back when I was a teen (236 BC) a good weekend was either getting the girl or getting in a fight. There was even a song back then by Lita Ford. Lyrics, "Went to a party last Saturday night. Didnt get laid but I got in a fight. Oh, yeah. It ain't no big thing." Good times.

Now THAT is my kind of humor! Reminds me of a friend and I, another crazy animal rescue person, also named Carol, same three initials, staying at a NH and Rehab facility, and also for IV antibiotics for leg injuries. So I was Carol OG (there first) and she was Carol Baskin, so we would know which was which when calling for us over loudspeaker. We were joking around with a new nurse while she was in the nursing office getting her meds and I was waiting, hanging over half-open door. Nurse asked about why she got that nickname. We joked about wanting to do a 'Dexter' (serial killer only kills bad people who escape legal punishment) on animal abusers. Nurse is looking at us weird. But then when she said "Honey, then after we cut him up we just take him out on my new boat (she is moving to Fla) and dump him off the beach". I said "No, you can't just dump the parts, have to take them out into the Gulfstream so it washes them out, sharks get them and no evidence". THEN, the nurse burst out laughing. Since I watch a LOT of Dateline (or did until fingin Charlotte), we would do a whole routine around the place saying stuff loudly like"You can't strangle them, have to use a pillow so there is no petechial hemorrhaging" ! Like I said, took people a minute to realize we were joking.
Having a good laugh from this Charlotte. Being able to laugh helps to relieve the stress from every day bs. I hope you have a fun weekend Charlotte.

I was so stressed the morning I was moving out of my cheating ex-fiancé’s I said I “felt like a head with its chicken cut off.” The expression is feeling like a chicken with its head cut off.
And I agree, grandpa and delivery guy saying you’re not fat hope you’re ok are both the most wholesome.
My step dad once walked in on me doing something, idr what, and he just shut the door and yelled plausible deniability as he walked away.
My mother did this to me when I was a kid still embarrassed to this day.
Today I noticed something. I have the most stoic face while watching UA-cam, but I always end un full grin with Charlotte. So wholesome.

When I was a teen I'd joke to my mates (when we were all riding our dinosaurs to school) that I'd only marry a really rich, really old, man who lived in a huge mansion. I wouldn't harm him, I'd just keep moving from room to room till I wore him out. Given some of my choices, I could have done worse than stick to that plan.
