@@realdawgg420 Ikr, still an iconic player who's no doubt a legend of the game but the way he still thinks he's 'that guy' bugs me if I'm being honest. It reminds me a lot about people in real life going through a 'mid-life crisis'.
It's like he still thinks that he can do everything in his prime years (ie 24-32), but the uncomfortable truth is that he can't anymore, like seeing Ronaldo going for glory with those missed free kicks, then of course missing the penalty against Slovenia - when he easily could have let other players shine. That sort of behaviour screams excessive narcisism to me, much like Homelander. A leader is someone who puts the team first and leads by example. The fact that Ronaldo had to be consoled by his teammates as well when he missed the penalty, he shouldn't have been the one crying/sulking - he should have been the one rallying them on and creating chances instead of expecting others to give it to him.
Ronaldo playing in the Saudi League has already proven that he isn't the player was in his heyday, otherwise he would have still been playing in Europe albeit for a less competitive league in somewhere like Turkey, Netherlands or even his home country - Portugal and I believe that a lot of fans would have preferred it if he returned back to his roots at Sporting.
He's genuinely effortlessly over rated. I never cared for him.
