You awarded the Novablast 4 as the best overall running shoe of the year after reviewing tons of different shoes, which is a testament of how good it really is. Splendid!
until you realize how much of their information is just wrong and full of errors. it's really sad honestly, you have all this detailed information on the site yet you can't actually count on any of it to be accurate. How do I know? Because first of all tons of folks noticed this before I ever did and they talk about it online. Second, because I bought several shoes and compared them based on the claims on the site, and low and behold, even with the small sample size, I found their claims did not match the reality. Bummer because it would be so useful if it was actually accurate. But it's not. and there's no way to know which bits are accurate and which bits are erroneous so you basically just have to take it all with a big serving of salt.
Yeah, novablast 4 is the perfect blend.. the superblast is better but the damn price is too damn high. I learned to buy the TR versions cause it tends to last longer with me and the colorway is hell of a lot better. A littlr weight as sacrifice doesnt hurt.
Need advice I am over pronate, but I want to try stability shoe and been eyeing up the nova last 4. I tried them on in a shop so bouncy compared to the Hoka Arahi 6 / gel kayano 29 I have currently. Would you say it recommend to try or stick to stability trainer only. Or be fine to put a stability insole in the shoe to help? Think the light weight and bouncy and feels quite supportive that it would be fine Thanks in advance Just find all the other stability trainer heavy and hard
i'm ok with the breathability of the shoe, but the geometry of the novablast series has always messed with my entire body. i always try them, but always disappointed ☹️
I hope you put all your new reviews to a video. Love your site review very detailed and informative. One thing i would like to suggest is to disclose what size in length or width you are reviewing.
I love the reviews on your website, a lot of my running shoes purchases are mostly based on your website reviews. Thanks! I wish you have more video reviews 😊
I tried different brands on a treadmill and chose novablast because it just felt right. I was absolutely shattered to pieces after my longs runs in my old trainers, now I barely feel like I’ve been running for hour except for my calves, it does seem they project my stride different if this could even make sense…thank you for the very deep review!!
If I am training mainly for a 5k and budget is no problem, would Superblast or its 2nd version be a better pick for a daily trainer than the NB4? I am currently in the market for something versatile and for all purposes (I'd consider an additional, race shoe at some point) for my daily runs but I wouldn't like it to be without good cushioning even thout I'd be doing a lot of tempo runs. I'd appreciate your input here :)
Interesting. I have a couple of shoes that scored higher for breathability (Cumulus 25 and Adizero), yet I'm currently finding the Novablast 4's better in terms of heat / breathability. Love the breakdown though, will definitely use the Website from now on!
This is the best website that I found for revies, I literally read the entire technical analysis... but I found that you are not doing the durability tests to some sneakers, for the mesh. That would be super useful because I have wide foot and I am always having problems with mesh when using it. Thanks for that in depth review. COULD YOU DO THE ASICS NOOSA TRI 15 RVIEW?
Nice summary and test data. Even in humid and desert conditions the "not-so-breathable upper" is fine imho. I'd update the title to read "Why so perfect?" to make it less clickbaity and closer to the truth. This is a great shoe in so many ways.
I had a foot turf and little bit pronation . But im looking for cusion, stable that i can hit up faster pace and also long run comfort with paining my foot . What do recomend for me as heavy runner and wide feet , do nv4 is suitable or kayano31?
I had the V1 Novablast and ended up loving it, on V2 as I save my $ for race shoes as well as a variety of shoes, so I can rotate and try and avoid injury. Great review, look forward to seeing the Edge paris review as I am deciding between the 2 and liked the V1 Sky best but in the plus V2 I preferred the Edge+ over the Sky+. Thanks for the detailed written reviews!!!
I got the novablast 3 trails but my feet keeps going inwards whenever I walk in em… is this normal? It kind of feels uncomfortable but when I run at my slow pace, it doesnt really affect me.. have not tried my usual faster pace at longer distances Anyone faced this?
Not with the trail shoes but I found with both my Novablast 3 and Superblast, they are less comfortable at slower speeds for me. When I get closer to marathon or temp pace they come alive. I also found it took time as well. They were more uncomfortable in the initial first 30km or so (total distance) but seemed to "loosen up" more after that.
The 4 is more comfortable than the 3, but the 3 is more fun. We'll see how far the 4s last (mine are at 323.6 miles) but my 3s are still going strong at 543 miles! I feel like ASICS had to nerf the Novablast because the 3s were just too good.
@@TItom11EM my friend bought the 4 and he wanted to return it after 1 long run..it's still not very good. he ran okay with the nimbus 25 but after switching to nova 4 he immediately didn't like them
@@jonibangs1797 They often need time to "come alive" so to speak. I felt the same with the NB3 and Superblast. After 25-30km that felt a lot better, more "settled in". But they aren't for everyone, no shoe is!
This is not a review, it´s a science class. Thanks so much for this. Best info on shoes on whole internet. I´ll have to give this shoe a chance.
I love it too, it removes all the useless opinion bullshit and enables people to decide for themselves!

You have to make more videos... Love your reviews, but as a video they are even better
I love the reviews on your website, please upload more videos!
Fantastic! You should definitely do these for other 2024 shoes. Peerless in terms of testing metrics!

Amazing video! I would love to see a similar video on Asics Trabuco 12
Great high quality and informative review! I love that yall focus on more objective aspects of the shoes and really put them to the test.
Very comprehensive....hope they could provide more tests and details on the responsiveness of the foam
Excellent video and review. Just earned a subscriber.

Great informative video. What pair of socks is the runner wearing in the videos? lol
What a great review.... comprehensive and alternatives given.
Channels like this deserves all the support! Thank you for this.
i didnt watch the video but i tried these and felt really overwhelming in summer day and not very soft unlike its impression of the sole part
Now we need one for the trail side best (Salomon Genesis) according to you! Nicely done
Great video. Thank you
Please do new balance 1080, new balance fuel cell rebel and Pegasus 41
Can you recommend choosing Novablast 4 or Clifton 9?
NB4 has better durability (a problem with Hokas) but weighs 10g more which can be remedied by gradual easing into the pair.
This is a detailed review! Thanks so much!
you guys have to start making videos again

Don't pander to users of non-SI units not approved for use with the SI. All SI units all the time please.
There's a difference between "pandering" and using units that fit your target audience. Nothing wrong with both.

Did you miss the part where my man cut one of the shoes in half? I don’t think 1.5 shoes will help you 😂

I'll pass! I have the version 2, and it's a flop. Clunky, unstable, no Bounce, etc...
Good call. I have the 3s and they aren’t good either.
2 is significantly worse than 3 and 4
