I'm not sure where you are going with this , but will continue to watch I think I would scrap the old tunnel and build a tubular frame to mount engine and suspension
Thanks for the views. The plan is to build it into a track sled with a sleigh to ride in. I choose to use the old tunnel because it is aluminum and pretty light weight plus it keeps the track/suspension/drive shaft all lined up without trying to refigure out the geometry when building your own frame. Stay tuned for more videos and a test run once its completed!
After watching videos of other track sleds, it seems like having the motor to the front causes it to snowplow and get stuck. I am hoping having the motor closer to the back will let the front be lighter and float over the snow better. We will see when I get a test ride in.
That is a Zongshen 125cc 4 stroke single cylinder engine with automatic clutch, 3 forward speeds and reverse. It is similar to what you would get in a China made ATV. It is rated at about 7.8 horsepower and 6.5 ftlbs of torque.
Looking forward to seeing more videos on it. Nice job on the content.
Thanks! It's been a fun project.

Why did you set the motor so far back from the chain case?
