Hey all! Big thank you for watching ❤️ do me a solid and drop a big fat like on this video
Is it really pronounced in-knee-sis?? Didn't think it was and never heard it that way before...
Hmmm...are we seeing some real competition for the big names in 16+ handicappers?
And there is a serious amount of irritated golfers unwilling to fork out for Tech they can't feel, utilize or" believe ".
What do you think Pete?
@Peter so you are telling me instead of getting fitted for some ping g425 i should just take the wife and kids to decathlon one day and get me irons there? :D
Hi Pete
I have had a reply supposedly from Peter Finch Golf, no tick, with an advert for some sort of finance. I have reported it already. 100% certain it's not you mate.
I don't know how to pass it onto you to allow you to warn your followers, just thought you should know someone is using your good name.
I made a deal with myself that everytime you say "unbridled enthusiasm" I have to like the video 🤣 review the jpx 921 irons please 😭
Absolutely died at the “looks like they’re just selling coat hangers, I don’t really get what they’re doing in this section” joke.
Took me a minute.
That was gold lol
I didn't even realize it was a joke till reading this comment....and your right it is gold....Soooooo good.
Love the camo joke at 2:25
I would really like to see you and Rick in a matchplay with you both using these same clubs and get both assessments
Rick did a video of an ex tour pro recently, who shot one under par with a 70GBP half package set of Slazenger clubs. I can confirm that this is fully possible as after upgrading from borrowing my friends fake Callaway clubs (I live in the far east) to real ones, I have got exactly no better. Unfortunately where I live lessons start at around $150 an hour so I may be staying this way until I can get back to Britain for some reasonably priced lessons.
Not really a surprise that they're good quality at a low price. They've been making very good bikes for a while now. The 900 series forged irons look really nice - be interested to see those tested!
Was thinking of getting on of there mountain bikes not the top tier but it looks real nice for $500
Decathlon is a nightmare. Go in for some golf balls, come out with crampons, a wet suit and a yoga mat.
No Decathlon in the US as far as I know and I’ve lived and been just about everywhere in the states.
That's B&m you're talking about...go in for a tin of beans come out with a cuckoo clock 😳
@@timhanna4700 I live in the San Francisco Bay area and there are 2 stores in this area
@@davidbreazeale7257 huh! Don’t remember seeing any in the San Diego or the LA area.
@@timhanna4700 from the website, it looks like they are the only 2.
Hopefully the price of these clubs allow more people to join the golfing community. Particularly, those who are yet to be chasing the brand names just so no one laughs at what's in the bag. Pete, the results of your comparison test demonstrate that off brand products can be good value for money with little sacrifice in performance. Well done.
Decathlon is doing an amazing job at making golf more accessible. Their Tour 900 balls are amazing. Their rangefinder is a great great deal. Some shoes too. Some bags too. Some clubs too. Great accessories.
Great fitting clothing that fits my body type very well. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
“Wallop that like button with unbridled enthusiasm” is one of my favorite UA-cam quotes of all time!
That’s tragic
I'm rocking the inesis irons, wedges, gloves, clothing, bag, tees, balls... You name it. Great value, great quality and great design.
As someone who was a beginner 36 handicapper at the start of lockdown down to 18... It's been fantastic for me!
Bought a set after watching this and wow. Took them down the practice ground at my club tonight. Started with the pitching wedge nearly broke my neck looking up at the flight. Even trying to miss hit them they still went pretty much straight.
Love how shocked Pete was about the price of the irons. Pretty much speechless!
Didn’t really know what to say 😅
@@peterfinchgolf It's almost like he's realizing that major brands are way overcharging for the name and that quality can come at a much lower price... If only he had a platform to shout this from and a massive audience that would hear it.
@@iceboss23 Yes, I have to agree with you on this. But does the price not also contain a lot of R&D, whilst Inesis is just copying other brands?
@@ReinoutVrijhoef Well then their R&D is shit cause its not delivering substantial benefits for double the price. I mostly kid but the price premium brands charge is simply because they can and because golf has the atmosphere of needing the best brands to be taken seriously. You can even hear it in Pete's voice when reviewing them, subconsciously his brain is telling him not to like them simply because they are deemed less valuable. Yet the numbers were strong enough to be able to breakthrough that voice for him to begin to change his mind.
@@ReinoutVrijhoef I think you'll find that endorsement costs to major players make up the major part of the 'R&D' account for most major golf brands.
Peter, I want to thank you. This video came at the exact right moment. My son is growing and needed a decent set of clubs to continue his development. After watching this, it became apparent that these clubs fit the needs of a 14 year old with a 32 handicap. He is beyond excited about getting them, and is anxiously awaiting their arrival. We shop at Decathalon frequently, as we have 2 growing kids, and you can’t beat their prices, but the store we shop at has no golf stuff out, so we weren’t aware this was even a possibility. Thanks for saving me a boatload of cash!
In France, everybody in golf knows about this. They also have a full line of golf clothes, and even a variety of balls, bags, etc...I'm a big fan. Might well be the best value for money around
Me: Watches video.
Peter: Decathlons are worldwide. There's probably one right near you.
Me: Never heard of this company in my life, lol
Same I’m in Toronto Canada
Yeah Pete, the only decathlon I’ve ever heard of is in the Olympic. Who are they? Like a Walmart here in the US?
Looks like they’re located in California.
I’m seeing emeryville and San Fran as the two on their website for the US
And here I am, all the way on the east coast.
Pete great video you looked like you had pick your words at the end because you did not want to upset the big manufacturers. if you were someone just buying your first set of new clubs they would be great.
Thank you for reviewing them. They are now in Kenya(Africa)m and I'm sure this review will help alot of people whom are starting golf and can't afford the know brands
Just wait till you can test the 900 irons
@@dr6124 What's your handicap?
When you first showed the wedge you could instantly see its a ping lol
Haha I just got the camo joke from the store and I'm dying laughing 😂😂😂this new social media guy is class, good hire Texas Pete 😂
Thanks to this review, I've just bought a set of these - my first ever "box-fresh" new irons and wedges.
I've gone 5-PW, GW, SW, LW. In short length (I'm 5'3") and slow-swing graphite shafts (I'm a 5hybrid user for 150yds). We'll see how they go next week! Bought them on the strength of this review, the Golf Monthly review and the TXG review, all of which are essentially saying that these are huge bang-for-buck, perhaps 5-10% off the market leaders, but >50% cheaper.
I'm not good enough to feel that incremental benefit of the £800-1000 iron set as a 29 handicapper who's only really become a regular in the last 12 months, so I'm really excited to see how I go on the range and on the course. It's forgiveness and consistency that I'm after, and perhaps 5 or so more yards per club over the 15 year old Cobra 3100i/h irons and wedges that these will be replacing.
Fingers are crossed!
Any updates on the irons? I'm considering buying them
@@scottplays2k Hi there. I didn't get on with them at all, they felt like plastic spoons to me. Decathlon were very good about a refund though, despite the fact that I'd hit about 250 range balls with them by the time I took them back (about a fortnight after purchase).
I ended up sticking with my 2005 Cobra 3100i/h clubs for another year, and then after a lot of testing I ended up going for a set of Sub-70 699Pro v2 irons. It was a great decision, and I love them. They're good for a 12-22 handicapper, but ideally you need to go and get fitted for them. I'm UK based and went to their European HQ in Hereford. They have several fitting centres in the US as I understand it, which is where they are actually based out of. Illinois is the main place. Good luck with your hunt for the ideal clubs, each of us has our own needs, tastes and wants!
@@Garlicator thank you very much for the detailed response. Lots to think about.
In 1980, I bought my first set of golf clubs at the PX of the Anderson Airforce Base , Guam (I was in the US Navy, stationed on a submarine tender at Guam). The set was from MacGregor, Jack Nicklaus Golden Bears. The woods were indeed wood, but the irons were forged blades with the same heavy ridge on the back of the blade as these. I could hit the 3 iron 240 yards, hitting 100 compression wound balata balls. Absolutely loved them. They forced me to learn to strike the ball, because mishits could go in any direction and the actually hurt because of the vibration that came from off center strikes.
These are hollow, of course, so a lot more forgiving.
Hands down great starter set. My first set in the 80s were a wilson Walmart box set that cost 89.99 on clearance. I used those clubs for years and honestly they were great
I play Inesis balls and use Inesis summer shoes, they are awesome!
Inesis clothing and gloves in use here. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Borrow inesis 500 irons for 4 month and also went to the indoors with all computers and things. And they performed very good when I compared with my friend's titelist 300, and my ping g25. So I think it's mostly about how brand sensitive we are and of course the massive commercial the big brands do (that probably stand for 90% of the more cost)
The shoes are great, very comfortable and great grip. Plus the Tour 900 golf ball is pretty good, I use it as my winter ball!
I started playing golf with Inesis, perfect deal for a beginner! I love decathlon
I just bought the Inesis 100 driver and so far I’m really impressed! I’m usually rubbish with drivers and I’ve hit them well so far. For only £54 you really cant complain!
That's an inesis video! (Inesis = Solid?! - Well not really but this time; Yes!) Great one Peter! Love the fact that you helping beginners and others who want good clubs for less money to find these types of clubs.
To my surprise, I found a couple of stores in Sweden as well (didn't know about Decathlon at all before.) They had a lot of nice stuff. Definitely a good idea to check them out more in the further. (Thanks Peter - Hope they paying something - This going to give them a lot more business for sure.) 😊👍
Nice review Pete.
I am already playing the 500 irons, wedges and hybrid.
Best clubs that I have played since my old Ping G10s.
The hybrid is a dream.
Great value for money.
But will not sell due to badge snobs
.A shame but that's golf.
Their 900s irons look superb.
I was playing their tour 900 ball 23.99 a dozen long before the irons, still am..
Stay well.
Thanks
I think you'll be delighted when 900 iron series come out!! Forged, more players type irons. Can't wait for your review, even comparison!!
Forged ?
@@paulmcgee1867 If I remember well, from 8 to PW full forged and the rest forged face with hollow body with inserts.
That would be great. I don’t see them yet on the Spanish website
@@paulmcgee1867 They are not released yet but on may will they said. You can watch some videos about it in their youtube channel "Inesis golf".

Hey Peter, there are new irons coming, the 900. They are for people under handicap 15 and look beautiful. The same for the new putters, maybe you can test them when they come out.
I thought it looked like the Inesis clubs when you posted the picture on your Instagram the other day but didn’t think you’d actually review them. Got mine earlier this year and love them.
Decathlon is actually a big multisport French company that sells mostly begginer to mid level golfer clubs. Very popular in France for people who want to start golf with decent clubs for a low price ;-) Had myself a Canaveral driver a few years ago that was very nice!
Yes I'm French and almost 50% of the balls I found on the course are inesis golf balls.
@@DavesRabbitHole been using the gloves for about a year. The most expensive ones are very good but even they aren't expensive!
I live in Spain and I have bought gloves , Shoes and kids clubs sets from this brand at Decathlon and they’re all good quality , perfect choice for Beginners . That’s my sport store here.
Yes Kieran! What a legend! Kieran Cam is to stay!!! 😂
@Peter Finch Golf loved this video! Really cool idea!! Bringing out brilliant stuff 👍
His car needs a vacuum
Bought my 14 yo son a set of Inesis irons and wedges, the driver and 22 degree hybrid and stand bad. We did the Decathalon online club fit and ended up with slightly longer and upright. All the clubs came with UST Recoil f3 shafts, quality! Really happy as a first set for him. Even tried the inesis golf balls so cheap and durable. Decathlon is very new in Australia but seem to cater for so many sports and very reasonably priced
Thanks Pete, for being very objective throughout this review. It just goes to show that anyone wanting to get started playing our wonderful game doesn't need a bankroll in excess of 1500 (insert currency of choice here) in order to do so. Well done!
Decathlon have started opening stores in Canada. First in Quebec and now 2 stores in southern Ontario are opening soon (COVID dependent).
Nova Scotia too
Wow Pete, very kind introduction to the company, you are the only one so far that introduced Inesis that much. I found them last year when under lockdown I was looking for the cheapest way to test if golf is for me and I was amazed with 100s clubs that time. And exactly that is the thing, that I considered a Decathlon rather a cheap=poor alternative to bigger brands (my bad!), but during last year I left there quite somef money because not only Inesesis stuff, but some others too, are really nice in quality to price.
Loved the review Pete ! Decathlon are a French company that has expanded worldwide and they produce and sell 'own' brand items under a variety of names, depending on the sport/activity - Inesis for golf. They are by far the major sports shop in France. I live in France, where golf is unfortunately a very minor sport and the golf department of their shops here is even barer than the store Kieran was in !! Inesis equipment gets sneered at by many French golfers, there is a perception that it cannot possibly be as good as the major brands. I had never tested any of their stuff, except some balls, but, being on the market for a 3 wood and wedges, in light of your review, I will definitely take a closer look. Thanks very much and keep up the great work !
Love this video. I bought an inesis 52’ last year and it quickly became my favourite/go to wedge. Simple construction, very decent price and looks good. I’d like to see you play a round with these Pete. Good to see this brand coming forward. Oh and get a stiff flex shaft for that driver.
Always thought about these clubs. If I hadn’t already got decent clubs, I’d consider them. Two different lengths and different flex shafts available, can’t go wrong for the price.
Plus left handed
So very nearly bought these but as I couldn’t see them or find any kind of review (apart from wedges) I didn’t. Now I’m super tempted (if you’ve not managed to make them sell out...). Love your work.
We're going to have to see a full round with inesis clubs! Price to performance is unbeatable for new players in my opinion. Particularly the balls for someone who's prone to losing them often
Agreed 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Good review. I like that you judge it before knowing the price. It prevents any preconceptions before taking your first swing.
Their golf balls are the best value around.I bought a dozen Inesis distance balls for 4-99 a year ago,and can't fault them.I have just bought a 24 degree rescue club, and it is so easy to hit with plenty of distance.
I would really like to see a Pete Finch video on proper loft/shaft Inesis driver. We HAVE to know the true performance Pete!
The clothes and waterproofs are really good (mygolfspy raves about the rain gear). Balls are a good cheap winter option :-) to provide beginners a cheap way into the sport you have to love it
I have a Driver 10.5 loft 43.5 inches long , 3 Hybrid 19°, 56, 52, and mallet putter from Inesis. These are the older models from Inesis not the 500 series. I am satisfied with them for the price I piad they deliver. I think the irons look decent as well. Nice review Peter!!
I now live in Spain and never knew decathlon existed. Here, they are everywhere, and they sell goods for absolutely every sport you can think of….. and their own brands quality wise are superb…. Needed a gap wedge, so I thought I’d try their 500 range 50 degree, and for €49.95, I was amazed, it’s got the look of a blade at address, no bounce though, but not an issue for me, has a funky steel look graphite shaft and feels and plays great….pleasantly surprised….
One of the best value sets of irons I ever had, and loved them for feel and performance, where by MD. Forged muscle backs with blades for 9-sw. I upgraded to Ap2s and would argue the MD clubs maybe still felt a hair better.
Indeed I still have a Norman Drew wedge from them in my bag. Feels great and low bounce. Was coached a little by Norman as a kid and he was lovely so slightly sentimental choice tbf.
I have played many brands of clubs over the years, and having now played a couple of rounds with the 500 irons I can honestly say that they are the best irons I have ever used. I went back a bought a hybrid and 3 wood, I’ve found them to be just great clubs. Happy, playing well and quids in. What’s not to like. As far as the looks are concerned, thats what first attracted me, so beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder.
Great video Peter, really enjoyable. Got to be a perfect set for anyone wanting to get in to the game.
Pretty nice clubs for these prices , decent looking , forgiving , driver looks great and sounds good ! Comparing them to the Pings is a pretty lofty challenge ! I think they rose to the occasion ! Great set for a beginners 1st set of new clubs !
Basicly what Dicks sporting goods started doing here in the states with Tommy Armour a couple years back. You definitely need to give Maltby clubs from the Golfworks a try, the Maltby PTM iron is my profile pic. At this point im tempted to build you a couple clubs myself lol
Tommy armour is an old brand. Dicks must have bought the rights and brought it in house.
@@jonnyb2774 exactly. Dicks has done some good things with them.
I'm from Costa Rica and the times i have been in Spain Decathlon is my TO GO STORE love it so muuuch !
ive just bought the 500 putter, and love it. Came here to find out about the drivers. 3 sizes, and slow medium and fast type shafts. It's a pity you cant test them in store.
Awesome! About time! Club review at beginner prices. I was between these and the Cobra package set at the back end of last year for my first set. I wish I had went for these! The driver in my Cobra set is garbage.
The golf balls are great value too. As someone who judges their performance by the amount of balls lost their balls are ideal. Can’t go wrong.
My little one who’s 6 has the Inesis junior set. Great value & perform well. Their golf apparel is good value too with lots of choice!! Nice video Pete 👍😎🏌️♂️
So cool when you guys find new clubs and test them. Below 700 pounds for almost full set of clubs is pretty impressive
The range finder has been tested on YT and for the money stacks up against the bigger brands. Its definitely on my list when I change.
Cheers Pete, been looking for someone to review these. Good value for money
Been using to 50 and 60 degree wedges for a while. My irons are Ping G series. Well until next week. Just ordered the 5-pw and the 55 wedge in the inesis 500. Don't think I've hit a bad shot with the 2 wedges I've been using. Really looking forward to using a full set of them. Just so easy to hit. Love the shafts I'm them. I like the looks of them. The feel is great. What's not to like. Full set of new irons plus wedges for the price of a modern day named driver. Think I might have to have one of there hybrids also.
Excellent price, great design, good performance. You won't get anything better unless it's used and at least a five year old model.
Juste began golfing with a tight budget and bought Inesys they're perfect learning clubs for me ! When I improve i will switch but these are more than enough for me to get addicted to golfing
Please test the "inesis 900" when they come out. They should be for the better Player.

We have it here in Holland. But the shops have almost nothing in stock.
Never tried clubs, but I bought many polo shirts, pants and stuff.
Quality is lower, but for that price you can buy 3 shirts in instead one UA.
Very professionnal review ... keep the good job ... thx
Absolutely loved the analysis! Decathlon became a way of live in Spain through the last years. Very good m8. Well done
The look and performance for the price, those are really good deals. If I was a starter and needed clubs to use for a few years, those would be great
I think they look much better than the Ping irons. Also beginners don’t benefit from a fitting session as your swing is still evolving. Keen to see a video on the 900’s
Never seen you hit this straight in all the years I've been watching you play. Just put them in the bag and go beat RS in a round please. We would all enjoy that.
Good video Pete and been waiting for someone to review these clubs. Only criticism is your not comparing apples with apples. Your comparing a premium brand vs a budget brand, would have been better to compare how they perform against another budget brand in the same category
So glad you've tested these - definitely my next set of clubs now (y)
Inesis is awesome brand for casual golfer. I am using tees and balls, because i am 18hcp and balls and tees got rly big prize in CZE.
Nice one Pete, I bought their polos and sleeves for the winter and they holding up really well. Tested the gloves as well but they were so so. An interesting comparison would be however comparing it to a used set of one of the bigger brand as I believe you could get some great stuff for 550-600.
The old camo joke! My fav! Good work guys!
Been saving up for theses iron for months glad I seen a brilliant review before I carry on saving 🙌
Can’t argue with the performance of those clubs.....then you hear the prices🤯. Just looked up the Inesis 900 that other follows are commenting on, now that a nice looking club and if they perform as well these do there onto a real winner
I've been playing with a lot of Inesis stuff these last few years. Starting with the balls "Tour 900", they're really good (possibly a bit too spinny in the irons section compared to a proV1, and a bit firmer feeling) and cost 30€ a dozen... The shoes (waterproof) are super comfortable, with fantastic traction and stability, while still spikeless... I also have a 3 wood "HL" (they do this one in stiff, even if it's not a super stout stiff) and it's really nice as well (the black on the face wears rather quickly but that's the only problem, and for 120€ I can well live with it).
I'm waiting to see how their "900" irons will be, they're a combo set, with PW, 9 and 8 being forged blades, 7, 6 and 5 being "players' hollow things with goo in it" akin to the p770 and a 4 and 3 will be available separately and be like Mizuno FliHi utilities: big and hollow. Lofts are strong-ish, shafts OK-ish (the stouter one is NS 1050GH in stiff... ) and the offset quite massive (not as ridiculous as on the 500, though... somewhat in the Apex to Apex pro range).
Keep an eye on these when they're available (mid-May, I've heard), Peter... And maybe try the Tour 900 balls, you'll like them I think!
That was quite an eye opener; never heard of these clubs and the prices were quite amazing.
I have to say I really liked the look of the driver - classic
Cheers
Sounds like great value for the mid to high handicapper ! I could be tempted
bought a single Inesis iron - first experiment with graphite shaft - to actually test out on the course. not the same irons as the video, cost about £25. which is a fair bit cheaper than buying a full set in graphite from a higher end brand and realising after a few rounds you hate them :-)
Defo nice set for beginners look slick but as Pete said custom fit with Ping all the way I know more pricey but well worth it , keep up the good work pete ❤ the club reviews 👍🇮🇪
Fantastic video Peter. Finally golf clubs we all can afford
Do some really good quality and excellently value products. Apparently their Inesis 900 golf balls are pretty decent as well.
Peter Callaway edge package set Vs maybe building the irons / wedges from insesis and adding a nicer driver ?
Would be interesting to get a review on the Inesis balls as well ?
The Inesis 100 are rocks, basically, but they do cost 4.5eur a dozen.
I've used Inesis 500 Soft balls in the past and quite like them, a good comparison (feel wise) would be the Srixon Distance
What an effortless swing!
Pete, you must be doing well, It has to be expensive to hire Daniel Radcliffe! 😜 Welcome aboard Kieran!
That was my first thought as well!
Sounds like great clubs for a first time golfer. Costco also makes there own brand and has a special set of callaway clubs at a great price.
Nicely priced clubs. Would you or have you ever done a review of woodworm clubs from Golf HQ? Again, they're just starter clubs but I'd love to get your input. 😃
You pay for the percentages, custom fitting and adaptability is great for serious/regular golfers, to get new golfers playing don't think you can beat it though. New is great as it feels special, second hand you need to know what your looking for which a beginner won't
Not surprising to those that ride bikes. Their own brand cycles are solid performers with good specs and reputation. Plus they are good value.
Fantastic value, thanks for the review Peter!
Very nice you reviewed some Inesis stuff 😎 I'm a 10 handicap and use the 50° and 55° wedges and love them. You should consider testing the urethane balls of Inesis, too (Tour 900).
Thanks Peter, nice one. 👍
It is definitely hard to not be bias, especially when an unknown company show up with some new sticks. I definitely would vote for my Mizunos 9/10 times.
Really really good Peter & above honest. Well done
