Loved that review James and they are a very nice looking iron, please please please never stop showing Bobby’s shank and Clarkson and Hammond laughing 😂😂
I play off 10 and I've got the previous model of these Irons. I changed from Old Ping g25 and never looked back. Great value for the money. I paid £150 for a second hand set only used for one round.
For a high handicap golfer, I think the new clubs you buy are your pride and joy regardless of the price. The Caley STRTR clubs I bought still look great after a few trips through the sand and a lot of shots out of the pine straw. Great video as always 👌🏾
You should try the Maltby Golfworks TS1-IM. Head to head with the Takomo I believe they're not only a better value but actually a better playing iron overall.
I remember when Hogan did this and everyone gave them nothing but hate for doing it. They quickly changed back to numbers. I thought it was pretty cool at the time.
@@waywardwest yes it’s a great idea. I guarantee 90% of golfers only know their driver and maybe 3 wood loft yet irons loft most don’t know. They differ greatly now so even more important plus everyone always tinkering with clubs so you must know all your lofts to gap clubs properly
@@The3rdTower you might bend the loft a degree or so that doesn’t change anything. I have had the previous version of these Inesis 500 irons for around 2 years and I love them. Tried a couple of higher priced irons from the "Big" brands, that friends have bought etc as they try to convince me to switch to brands they think are superior, but honestly can't see me replacing them any time soon. As a high handicapper, I didn't see any difference in performance, contact etc so I can't see me considering swapping to anything else. I loved them so much I also bought the 4 hybrid and the wedges from the 500 range. 3wood and putter are the only clubs I have from other brands and I'm very happy with my current set-up. Driver is the only club I need to sort out, but I need to test a few more to figure out what I prefer. I would urge anyone looking for new, budget-friendly Irons to give these a go though.
I have a set of the 2021 Irons and they are WOW ! For feel and distance Wear is fine 150 rounds now and still spotless ( but I do soapy water scrub them after every round), Brush clean after shot. They look great but they jumped in price from £350 in 2021.
Been using the previous version of the Inesis 500 irons for the past 2 years and am 100% getting the new set in a couple of weeks when they're in stock in Ireland. Was playing Callaway Apex and TaylorMade M4 irons before and I prefer the Inesis. I'm a 16 handicap but think they will serve me well until I'm down to 12 or so.
Second hand sets for any beginners in the only way to go , these would sell for £100 after 18 months. £500 gets you a very good set of irons in the second hand market
You have a point but beginners would have to do a ton of research to know which second hand set to purchase. Brand, shaft, model, length, amount of wear, etc. it is very intimidating for a new golfer to do that coming with no previous knowledge. Plus these are brand new.
Yeah, played with a guy using Aerojet irons the other day .. he was commenting on how he’d suddenly gained distance before I pointed out his irons had 4-5 degrees less loft than mine ( PW 41.5 and mine is 45) he had no idea … think he felt a bit cheated by the marketing
I believe that the Kirkland’s foam filling and how it’s described if what Taylormade felt they could get them on, it’s very hard to sue on the look of a iron alone as an iron kinda has to look like an iron
I have the Caley irons and they go 4i-PW. Far better to go 5-GW. 4i is too hard to hit for high handicappers and you need an extra wedge as the PW is about 43 deg. Great review. Looks like your having better weather on hols. What happened to the famous turf interaction on your Insta reel though,
It just means they're geared in that direction as game improvement irons. Shot shaping will be limited in favour of forgiveness. People can play any class of iron they want of course 🙂
You do loads of the new cheap brands. Why won't you look at Benross? They are superbly low priced, historically decent quality & readily available from American Golf across the whole of the UK and they have a good online presence. They can also be custom fit and there are different ranges for beginners, better players (to a degree) women and old gits like me ..... But apart from that???🤔
I don’t think testing them with your swing speed is helpful to the target market. Will your average high handicapper get sufficient launch, height and spin to stop the ball?As others have mentioned, they will need a bunch of wedges too. Better to get one of your high hcp mates to help on this type of testing?

We have Décathlon in Canada. Just bought their stand bag

We have Decathlon in the USA, however, no physical stores, just online only.

Thanks James! You should test these against the Takomo.

Not available in the US - available in Canada but a set of irons is CA$950 or US690 or UK540.
James.. thank you for continuing to find budget minded golf equipment. Us normal folks are always looking for golf equipment that is affordable.
I wish all manufacturers would put the loft on each club. I like that a lot.
I remember when Hogan did this and everyone gave them nothing but hate for doing it. They quickly changed back to numbers. I thought it was pretty cool at the time.

It’s because many players custom fit their clubs for loft and lie.

There’s a US Decathalon site which used to sell golf equipment but not all golf items were removed.
The amount of quality irons now for the price is mind blowing.
Just bought one of their putters. Price belies quality and how effective it is on green
Many PW’s today are only 41 degrees.

Why aren't they being sued by Taylormade also. They greatly resemble 770 and 790

It's not the tools, it's the carpenter.
Always true
Please test the Maltby TS3 irons absolutely gorgeous looking and perform with the best out there
I have one of their stand bags, I’ve not had it on course yet, but the quality is great.
There are some in America, I have bought the golf balls online. The clubs don't come in lefty, but the balls do. 🤣
Thats why I'm playing ordinary I've been buying the left handed balls 😅
Another great review James but do they compare to Costco irions for the same price
I am looking forward to a review on the Vice Forged irons. I hope you get some.
I use the Inesis putter and I love it
Why not review the Maltby TS line of irons?
Hi James have you tried the new range of clubs at B&Q yet.
I’ve used inesis balls and the top of the range ones are excellent, the French player Marcel (Forgot his surname) used to play this brand

A bit of Mizuno inspiration in the look
Why say they're for 15-30 handicapers? They look good and perform great. Good enough for single figure golfers too!
It just means they're geared in that direction as game improvement irons. Shot shaping will be limited in favour of forgiveness. People can play any class of iron they want of course 🙂
@James_Robinson_Golf___20 scammer
From here you should test the most expensive irons the cobra 3-D clubs.
Never never say cheap, inexpensive sounds a lot better.😊

Please review the new vice irons when you get a chance James. Thanks
I’ve just. Bought a set of Taylormade sim2 irons graphite shafts for £465 brand new and there brilliant
That's a great price for a very good set. Where did you find that deal, please?
@@tjvbham5831American Golf, where else.
Need to add some new merch to your store with “that’s delightful” and “oh, stop it” on it.
We had Decathlon in the USA in the 2000's. I don't think they exist anymore here
They do look nice.
Good news : Decathlon (INESIS) is French and british people can find these clubs at Calais !

They look nice,,,,poor Bobby. 😂
Carrying 284 running right up to 193 🤷 😂8:53
We have decathlon in Canada 😊
Better looking then costco ones
The money you save should go on balls I think. I like a soft ball even though I’m a 15 handicap 😊
They offer 3 versions for high, medium and low speed.
Really, thanks so much, how will you contact me?
When do we get the 1 vs 1 match James vs Bobbie? So he can get some revenge...
Decathalon is not in the United States, but technically is in America, but it’s Canada
Nah, 28 degree 7 iron is silly.
The 28 degree 7 Iron I am ok with for a game improvement iron, but the 42 degree PW is brutal, makes gapping with wedges tough...
That's closer to a 5 iron! You must have to carry 5 wedges? PW, AW, GW, Second GW, LW.. 😂
@@waywardwest my 5 iron is 27 degrees 😂
After seeing Bryson play with Junior Clubs and still hit Scratch Golf it is the player not the clubs..
It does help to have appropriate clubs though! You wouldn’t give a 30 handicap a set of stiff shafted blades!
Hitting a 5 and a half iron 150 James? Few more reps in the gym lad??😂
not for sale in usa
I love the original top gear, I wish they would have fired the producer instead of dissolving the show.
C722 tour edge irons are better and cheaper
I give you £500 (easy tiger) and ask you to buy me a set of new clubs. These or the Tacomo? On looks I know which I’d prefer.
Why do you call him Bobby? His account says Rob lol.
You have some strange followers James 😂
nothing funny about the 7:22 mark....
Videos like this just remind me of how much Canada sucks
