- Instead of getting an OBD2 code reader and a separate Battery and charging system tester tool, why not saves some money and get 1 tool that does both? The Artilink 500B does full OBD II functions and also has some basic graphing functions which is not usually seen in cheap obd2 code readers. Quickly swap out the OBD cable for the battery cable and this tool is swiftly turned into a useful battery tester. It includes a battery test, starting test, and charging system test. great for confirming if your battery or charging system has a problem. Note: It appears that it only does battery tests for 12-volt systems only but does the cranking and charging system tests for 12/24-volt systems. I find it strange that it's unable to do 24-volt battery tests. Unfortunately, I don't have a 24-volt system to test it out on.

For me the graphing feature makes me feel like I'm getting a quality item, a nice to have.
for sure, not the most advanced graphing but nice to have, a lot of regular obd scanners are lacking graphing

I have just bought this tester, but not used as yet hence watching this useful video, but I'm not sure how it turns on, no on/off button, does it only come on automatically when it's plugged in then ? Thanks in advance.
Yep, it turns on automatically when its plugged in.
