I’ve been dying to see how a Eurorack can be used in a live show context and I’m truly grateful to see how you’re doing it P.S have a sub from me for your brilliance
Wow, watching the section from 4:30-5:30, I had a flashback to listening to Selected Ambient Works 85-92 by Aphex Twin while on my runs. I’ve been watching your stuff for a few years now. Have kind of wanted to step into modular but haven’t. After watching this though, I can’t hold off any longer. Just bought a module. Thanks for all the work you put into the channel and making this very accessible to those of us who don’t have either the free time or inclination to dive in and figure it out on our own.
That was great! It would be great if you could do a multi-part series on this performance and break down how you compose and implement a performance with as many layers as this.
sweet! blast that pizza. Its awesome that you're posting multiple videos with the Pizza module. Im just waiting for my preorder so its fun to listen to your jams in the meantime. sounds great.
Don't think I stopped boppin' and dippin' for that whole 40 minutes. The last few minutes in particular were somethin' special. Wish I could see this live!
Kept looking at your hands and couldn't figure out how you played in the vocal samples because you were singing them live!! Really cool! Like a Cyberpunk version of that one-person-band with like a huge drum tied to their back and a harmonica mounted to the shoulders and a banjo etc. :D Also that breakbeat groove was insane. Thanks for this sweet sneak peak!
4:40 in and its just awesome fun creative groovy original everything that makes a great artist... Wait 1st mix just started, a bit bumpy but working, arp saving the transaction and boom birth of another banger has commenced .. And this just started.. 2nd track starting like undrrworld on a great day.. Be jesus what a start
Jeremy, would love to hear your thoughts on sequencing in modular. Probably the most important and personal thing to some how figure out. You are probably the person with such a high skill level I know of who has tried the most sequencers - what are your thoughts on the different ones you have had, when to get what and why you prefer some to others. Yeah would love a video/talk on that subject from you! As always I am immensely enjoying your videos regardless, so thx for keep doing this for us all!
@@RedMeansRecording I had Hermod but traded for an Eloquencer, which I am now trying to trade for a Ground Control (or Black Sequencer or Usta otherwise). All those big sequencers do so much and yet all I've tried always leaves me feeling incredibly constrained in getting the melodies, rythms and broader scene changes down satisfactory. I am feeling a bit lost and almost ready to go a more modular route which I know is not gonna work like what I am dreaming about - but I know at least will be joyful modular experience. Maybe a quantizer a trigger module and a voltage block is the way.
Making great use of the Moskwa II - I'm digging this thing more every time I hear it! And a great combo with the Arpitecht. Perhaps a little surprised the Hapax isn't involved. Do you find it more suited to production than live use?
Daaaamn that's a nice live set. Amazing what you get out of this small system haha i need smaller hp oscillators haha but yeah lot of questions if I may ask. Tha bass line comes from pizza? Never heart a sound of it and if that thing sounds f***ing amazing. There is a lot of awesomeness in that set but the bass killed me in every song haha and yeah your drums come from that roland thingy?! Is that a mixer and beatmashine? Sorry but never was into roland qo i have no idea haha but then what does the erica sample module do? And do the sequences in your rack come from moskva and arpitech alone or do you drive it with midi sequences from that roland thingy? Must be because all the transitions are so smooth cv wise. And what does the vpme euclidean module do haha sorry so many question, if you want to share, otherwise still awesome set. A lot of inspiration for myself and gives me a drive to get sh*t done with my own liveset haha thanks!
Bro thats great; i can certainly agree on the Tr8 being the proper tool for this one yet as said on insta id also love to see what you would do w a Digitakt in there , keep it coming !
Burping at the start of a stream is the new “cough at the beginning of wonderwall”

Couldnt imagine having this level of technical synth skill. My voltage controlled hat goes off to you, red. One day I hope to be you.
Very cool, loved this music performance. Best of luck in Seattle.
¡Espectacular! Que buen en vivo, muy inspirador. // Spectacular! What a great live performance, very inspiring. Greetings from Colombia.
The TR8S is such a great machine...Amazing rig ..and use of modular and multi machines.

Just bought a tr8s bc of this. Fkn sick.
GAWD DAMN THAT BURP, PIZZA PARTY VIBES FOR SURE
You know it's party time when you hear the rave whistle!
A very early UK/Chicago style house sound. I like it. Not many people do 80s House from the halcyon days.
Don't forget to vary the drum kit on the TR8S from track to track.
Jesus, thats some skills right there im mad jealous
solid set, such fluid improvisation!
Such a groove! You're gonna kill it at the show :)
FRIDAY PIZZA PARTYYYYY!! VIBES!
Excelente una maravilla saludos desde Argentina
You got the funk. Groove approved. 🕶
I really enjoy a more melodic and clubby modular. Very nice.

Fab!
This was off the chart awesome! Wish I could make your show!

Amazin
It sounds like if chemical brothers and daft punk made an album together. Your music is as good as theirs! Cheers!

My take after a couple shows is that modular sequencing without save states sucks for dance music

Obligatory second comment
your music makes my day bearable :)
ジェルミーはグードーバイブ良くする。
Such a great set dude! I noticed since your last video you switched from the rytm to the roland for drums. May I ask why?
Classic Roland sounds easily accessible
certified UH moment
*burp*
how tricky of you, forcing me to be at the Ice Box this week
:3
Do you give modular lessons?
Yuppppp
@@RedMeansRecording In 2024, I'd like to make use of that. How full is your agenda for 2024?
Oh noooo what happened to the analog rytm
It's still around and in play. Uploaded a jam to my second channel with it today (red means recording ambient)

Haha should have read more carefully haha thanks for the hint :)

So starting with a belch wasn't the most welcoming entrance for the viewer
Everybody burps
@@RedMeansRecording I was laughing my head off with your burp I replayed it 3 times rolling about with laughter, good on ya.
I actually can't burp so it's fascinating to hear other people do it.
Burps are the new cowbell.
