They can rip your style, but no one can rip your skills. Awesome as always man! And for what its worth, I enjoy your non-OP-1 videos just as much, sometimes more, so don't worry about people 'missing' the old styles, just keep doing you!
This set is really incredible. You are criminally slept on. Ever think of doing video game music, a la disasterpeace? This would be great in an indie game.
Serious Blade Runner vibes on some of the early stuff. Have to love the harsh dnb "tick" with the ambient tones, wow. You nailed the balance between the soft and harsh, dancing them together. Keep being you RMR, love this stuff.
Christ, man, this stuff makes you FEEL something, almost like the sharp high notes and persistent low tones are a conversation you cant understand, and it just overwhelms you. I live for this kinda shit, red; you're the man, keep it up
Okay, I’ve had a few days now to listen to the album and this video. Really gorgeous work, Jeremy! I feel you’ve spent quality, deep effort exploring these instruments and applying the understanding you’ve gained to creation of satisfying, fun, and melodically interesting music.
Been listening to this quite a bit on iTunes, it's just so lovely. A Gentle Madness is just so so good. Last year I started on my own electronic music journey with a Digitakt, and this year have added a Digitone, and no small part of that has been a result of both your inspiring creations and your tutorials. They are my favorite toys. Thanks for all that you do!
really miss you, Jeremy.. loving rediscovering you through your channel. this set was beautiful. Sputter was a real standout. sent me to dreamland.. -J
Just wow! I'm so impressed, I've been following your tutorials and, in my experience, here you are either a talented artist or good "youtuber", in this case both and maybe more! respect!
I don't indulge this music all the time. But when I do it's Ben Prunty and his work on Faster Than Light. That stuff gives me chills. So does this, thanks for the deep introspective journey I've gone through in all my time doing nothing and listening to this music.
I've been listening to this album a ton in Spotify and now re-watching the performance really drives home how talented you are to squeeze all that out of the small boxes there. Simply amazing!
Well, Jeremy, you inspired me to order both the Digitakt and Digitone-they’ll be my first synth products. Not sure yet whether to thank you or curse you. Likely, both are warranted, but since it’s Thanksgiving week...thanks! I’m listening to your Soft Sounds album now while reading the manual so I’m not too lost when they arrive in a few days. Beautiful.
this album has spore (video game) vibes. that game is one of my all time favorites, and I haven't heard any music that gives those vibes. what I'm trying to say is that I love this and it is great. thank you for making it!
Super impressive, both musically and physically for being able to actually play all this complicated stuff in real time! Well done, definitely gonna listen many many more times.
Better late than never - album and Digitone pack purchased! Thank you so much for including a video that lets us see how you achieved the sounds and transitions. Such a fantastic learning resource.
This is totally beautiful. Thank you. Why would anyone give this a thumbs down? If you don’t like it go listen to something else but next time please don’t even bother making the effort to click that little thumbs down.
This is dope, sir. I'm listening to it on medium level on headphones right now and I've noticed a couple low rumbles going on so my sub will be enjoying this on sunday night.
Quality!! Your ability keep things in motion with your tweaks is impressive. You have a knack to mangle sounds knowing what, when and how much. Jammed to my drums with a few tracks. Fun! Great work!
This is a great album man congrats! It's nice to see electronic music hardware used without a computer to create such a dynamic and large body of work.
Masterful use of control all. I bought this on bandcamp and love the album and the soundpack! Very inspiring and has made my Friday evening very pleasant.
What you manage to do with your equipment is awesome! Reminds me that there is a difference between playing around and actually mastering your devices. I hope I'll be able to get as much out of my synths as you do one day. Nothing but respect!
I got a Digitone - my first real hardware synth after the BS2 (I realize it's digital!), and I've been watching so many videos. This gets me so excited about getting to know it and exploring the possibilities with Elektron! And of course, first and foremost, your musicianship is wonderful. Thank you for writing some awesome tunes :)
@@tronkiechannel I don't remember , I think I found it on a google search , or on some of our fellow Elektronfreaks Utube video,- I love those units , i got the Digitone first, to get some good FM sounds to match my GrandMother , Deepmind 12 , Akai AX-73,and the JDxi, and then the Digitakt - and my synthsetup is nearly complete - i want that "Noodler" NDRL machine , and probably a couple of microkorgs more , and the new Arturia "Freak" something !?.... Microfreak ??? - have a good one my friend ,-
This is super dope. Love your usual content, but this was an incredible surprise and I hope there's more to come in the future! Edit -- UA-cam needs some sort of timeline of comments like SoundCloud! 22:15 - yooooo this part is awesome. 38:40 - Give me an hour long cut of this. So nice. 45:50 - Great fuzzy/distorted sound, so much contrast to the softness of the rest of the tune. Edit 2 After "showing more," I now realize I could have left these exact comments on SoundCloud haha. At least now I know.
Haven listened to the whole thing yet. But I’m probably just going to set aside an hour soon just to listen to this and draw. You just got a new subscriber

⏏⏏ what he said!! 😅💙
omg, there is space between the boxes!
mishpult so is this good, or...
The perfect amount.
At least they look about evenly spaced
@ mishpult, and your ears :)
sorry I couldn't resist.
Celtic Progeny haha, fair play:)
Damn, this sounds like a fully produced album rather than a live recording. Hat off, my friend.

First one is "Skimming" and not "Skitter"
This is one of my go-to office working mixes. I have it play in a pop-out window, and it brings me so much joy. Thank you Jeremy.
I definitely had that in mind when I made it and I'm glad to hear that :)
Every cell in my body went into hibernation for 57 minutes and 44 seconds; THAT'S how dedicated I am when it comes to doing nothing to soft music.
9:35 some serious stardew valley winter vibes with this one 😍😍
This set is really incredible. You are criminally slept on. Ever think of doing video game music, a la disasterpeace? This would be great in an indie game.
i would love to! just have to find the right project and people to work with.
or ambient music for movies :)
@@RedMeansRecording dunkey has his own game company now, sure hed love to have you on
Man, when the bass drum comes in at full strength at 10:39... that's a nice jam.
Crazy, this captures the same kind of feeling I'm always trying to get into my music but fall short on. Thanks for giving me a lot of study material.
Serious Blade Runner vibes on some of the early stuff. Have to love the harsh dnb "tick" with the ambient tones, wow. You nailed the balance between the soft and harsh, dancing them together. Keep being you RMR, love this stuff.
I love the nitty gritty of live performances.
This is seriously perfect. The title did not lie. I'm feeling good. You're a so great musician. Please make more and more and moar content
Christ, man, this stuff makes you FEEL something, almost like the sharp high notes and persistent low tones are a conversation you cant understand, and it just overwhelms you. I live for this kinda shit, red; you're the man, keep it up
Reminds me a little of the sublime Higher Intelligence Agency from the early 90’s UK ambient dance scene.
Purple means Playback?!?!?!
bravo, sir :)
So what would blue be?
@@hannab3676 Beats! Blue means Beats!
I thought purple would mean live and blue would be playback
i had a really fun hour jamming with my bass to your tracks! thank you, jeremy!
Wow. You just convinced me that I need a digitone to combine with my digitakt. Sounds really great!
Oh man, the song you move into at around 9:35 is so amazing. I literally stopped what I was doing (which was basically nothing!). Gorgeous!
IT STOPPED YOU DOING NOTHING!?!?
This music truly is... Something... Or the opposite of that.
I'd love to see you do a live show/performance!
hey RedMeansRecording
you've read Jeff Vandermeer
and this sounds incredibly like múm.
it all makes sense
I love this
This actually inspired me to make music today, a bit more of a proper song than ambience, but a still music
This type of vibe helps me to power through the monotony of work! Thank you!
Okay, I’ve had a few days now to listen to the album and this video. Really gorgeous work, Jeremy! I feel you’ve spent quality, deep effort exploring these instruments and applying the understanding you’ve gained to creation of satisfying, fun, and melodically interesting music.

Darn ! That was beginning of lock down and I finally discovered a new world 🌍
I latched on to your track pronto.
This is so dang chill I love it! It reminds me of the soundtrack for Hyper Light Drifter by Disasterartist.
Well, Jeremy, you inspired me to order both the Digitakt and Digitone-they’ll be my first synth products. Not sure yet whether to thank you or curse you. It was the foreign bodies remix that led me here, but it's everything else that you do that's kept me here. Thanks Jeremy!
amazing and I really really loved the last piece
Wow I have a digitone key and digitakt but now want the Analog Heat MKII wow 🤩
this album has spore (video game) vibes. that game is one of my all time favorites, and I haven't heard any music that gives those vibes. what I'm trying to say is that I love this and it is great. thank you for making it!
I keep listening, this is so good.
Update: 2 years later, still listen to this periodically, including about 5 times over the past two days.
watching you absolutely nail some of the transitions in this is a joy to behold. i keep returning to this album. 🔥🔥🔥
Super impressive, both musically and physically for being able to actually play all this complicated stuff in real time! Well done, definitely gonna listen many many more times.
absolutely mind blowing set... gassing real hard for elektron boxes

I'm pretty sure there are trolls that go around UA-cam literally just downvoting videos along with maybe even downvote bots?
That kick and rimshot/snare at 52:00 is just the best.
More gems from...Jem
The opening of the second track reminds me of Peter Kruder's Peace Orchestra album, one of my favorite electronic albums of all time. Well done.
when ever i lost my momentum of music production, I come back to your channel Jeremy. You are an inspirer ❤️
This is dope, sir. I'm listening to it on medium level on headphones right now and I've noticed a couple low rumbles going on so my sub will be enjoying this on sunday night.
I love my Digitakt but never liked the sqawky sounds most people make on the Digitone... but your beautiful music may have changed my mind 😉
Awesome performance and project! Lovely sounds. So glad to have found you while looking for op1 videos.
Ah, just what I needed for this busy work day. Thank you UA-cam recommendations for knowing exactly what I needed...
Beyond the impressive technical side, the music is truly amazing!!
The intro reminds me so much of earlier múm. If you haven’t listened to them, I think it would be straight up your alley. 🤍🤍🤍
Huge inspiration absolutely
@@RedMeansRecording Have you got any recommendations of a similar vein? You’re the only artist I’ve found who has the same musical sensibilities.
That last track and a great Solar Fields vibe to it. LOVE IT!
Yess! One of the tracks appeared in my Release Radar on Spoti and I came looking for the performance. You made my day a bunch of semitones better
Great music! I just had it chilling in the background while I was car shopping online.
Absolutely stunning. Well done on a fantastic album. I'm so chilled☺
I'll be concept painting for my day job all day to this. thank you! helps me be creative.
21:47 is the video game soundtrack I want to play to. somewhere between Out run and Sonic the hedgehog. good stuff my dude.
Beautiful music, and watching you work with these machines is very entertaining and instructive, better than a tutorial. Thanks for sharing!
