I love the Yammies, I have the DXR12s, sometimes used with a DXS15 sub (although that is heavy as hell) The DXR15s have loads of bass so no subs needed, great video, looking forward to the next one.
I planing to use them in parks without a sub. You still today think they have enough bass with out a sub ? Im a Techno Dj planing to buy my first set of speakers, and want some good speakers with bass. This way i might not need a sub for my smallere gigs/events 😎
Thanks for sharing. Im a Techno Dj planing to buy my first set of speakers for outdoor popup partys in parks. Do you recomend them or should i go for the YamahaDZR15" ? I want to play without subs just like the setup you show now. Do you think its enough bass in the speakers alone ?
You’re welcome. I’m unsure on the difference, but these speakers are still going strong. Outdoors will depend on the size of the space and audience size. This month I’ve used them indoors for two Y11 proms with over 300 kids and they were fine (videos on my TikTok - search for DJ80).
@@DJ80 I was in a Dj/sound shop now where i live. They did not have the Yamaha speakers for sound test, but they did have QSC. And they did try to push a pair of 12" QSC on me 😂 the sound was ok. But still want to get the Yamaha's #
@@theaverageguy3884 😂😂 lol that’s the funniest thing I’m gonna hear this week 😂 you definitely made the right decision there. I know it’s a faff but you can order online and return them if they don’t hit the mark, but you’re absolutely right in wanting to hear them in person first. Sensible decision.
Thanks for your suggestion. My solution was to buy a cable that converts the iPhone port to a female 3.5mm jack, and then a long lead which has 3.5mm male Jack one end and converts to quarter inch jacks the other. It’s my third back up so hopefully will never get used 🤞😂

Thanks so much mate 👍 These 15’s aren’t that light either but at least it’s only 2 loads to the car 🤷♂️😂
@@DJ80 until you get a big room then you need subs on ground, you lose a lot of bass when their high on stands.

@@DJ80 Thanks for answering. The YamahaDZR are 3 ways and not 2 and cost 2k + for only 1 speaker.
@@theaverageguy3884 oof! Well for that price point I would expect good things 🙄😂 As a brand Yamaha have a great reputation.

Good review , but you didn’t give us any indication on the difference between the 2.
Between the 2 what?
@@DJ80 MK1 and MK2
@@georgegeorgio1751 I've not owned the MK1's so can't offer a comparison I'm afraid.
Bluetooth to RCA adapter might be an easier solution for you. Around $20 US. They include a Bluetooth receiver.
