I have a Sole F63 treadmill that was"donated" to my wife when my neighbor moved across the state. It worked great for her for a long time. One day she got the LS1 Low Speed error. I tried to diagnose the problem using the manual with no luck. I finally turned to "You Tube" and Dave's self help videos. I contacted him and got a very helpful response, something that seems to be unusual these days. He offered advice and stayed with me until the problem was resolved. I ended up replacing the control board and belt. Months later the display panel would not turn on. I went back to Dave's videos and again, he spent the time with me to determine the display board was bad. The treadmill is now working fine and I cannot express my gratitude enough for the assistance I received from Dave to make my wife happy that she can continue to use her treadmill. I don't see any stars on the site to express my appreciation, but if there were I would give Fitness Technology a 5 star rating.
Wow Dan thanks a lot! More than I can express .... It was great working with you I think we are both happy to get it up and running. Twice. That’s what it’s all about. My pleasure and again thank you
Excellent video! I was getting the LS1 Low Speed Error and this video helped me confirm that my motor control board needed to be replaced. I contacted Dave via email to confirm the diagnosis and he suggested one other test to make sure it wasn't the console. I also followed the guidance in other videos to check for walking belt wear. Sure enough, not only did my controller need to be replaced but so did my walking belt and my deck. Fitness Technology Services helped me get all the parts ordered, assisted with the warranty replacement of the deck and answered all my questions. The videos on how to replace all these parts were incredibly helpful. My Sole F85 treadmill is now back in service. Thanks!
Hi Dave. Thanks very much for your prompt response to my previous request. You had indicated that the issue with the treadmill going to full speed on startup would most likely be related to a bad controller. Could you please suggest which component on the controller would need testing and if faulty replaced. Once again thank you very much for your precious advice.
Hi Dave thanks for all your very informative videos on sole threadmills . I have a sole f83 giving the LS1 error. The speed sensor is fine. But If I keep turning the running belt before the ls1 comes on the relay click sounds and the treadmill runs perfectly. Not sure if I need a new control board then? any ideas, very confused. Thanks in advance.
@@DavidSheil-m5j that is a odd one. Can you run it with no one on it. Two things first run your motor off a separate dc power ( drill battery) most of the time if you push start it and it works. Most likely this is the motor
Hello, thank you so much for your video! Although I'm still stumped. I have a 2013 Sole F80 and it flipped the breaker after about 5 minutes of light use. After repeat attempts to troubleshoot it now flips the breaker immediately upon hitting the power switch. I admit I've never bought a new belt or lubricated anything. I am just now learning this is typical maintenance that I should have kept up with. Any suggestions?
Well thank you! If your unit trips the breaker after 5 minutes the belt or lube could help. But once the unit trips it right away you will need to replace the controller also. You could try unhooking the motor just to see if it is shorting the controller. Can’t hurt to try ! Send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@ gmail.com If you want any other troubleshooting videos
Hello Sir thank you for the very informative video I’m very glad I found this channel. I have a sole F63 treadmill while running the screen completely blanked out and the treadmill stopped. I have troubleshot a little bit the 15 amp breaker Is not tripped and I have power going to the board The green LED is not lit. Does this mean I have a bad board? If so where would you suggest I get another? Thank you!
Well you are welcome! Depends on what year your unit is .send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@ gmail .com and I will send you links for testing your motor and walk belt to see if you have any other issues before buying any parts Dave
Great video and thanks for your generosity! I have a 2010 F85 that works like a tank and I put all 7000 miles on it ever since I've had it and I don't want to replace it! I usually keep it lubed and cover it to prevent dust accumulation however, just recently the jumper on the back of the Treadmill started tripping in the middle of my workouts. I took a picture with the thermal camera and noticed that the middle the belt is hotter than the sides and the motor control board has very hot components. I also tried to contact TransformCo since they are responsible for the Lifetime warranty but they never replied! Any ideas? Cheers!
Thank you the best way to test the walking belt is force walk on the belt on the sides on the logo. Then walk in the middle if it is harder in center then belt is bad ! Also check the deck see if it is cracked or scratch or worn. I have a video on this also . I don’t know if there is a lifetime warranty on all parts motor and deck maybe . Send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@gmail I will see what system you have
@@BudFuddlacker well I am no help on a surge protector I have also found differing opinions on this. On what may be your issue! That is hard to say I would start with motor controller. Something in the signal system got mixed up. But your parts may be under warranty check with your manufacturer warranty
Thanks for the review. Quick question .. Have a case where the treadmill starts running at it's lowest speed when powered on but without pressing start. And the speed and incline buttons don't work. Have to power off to get it to stop. Is the solution a motor control board replacement ? Because I can't see anything on the board to be fixed. Thanks.
Well that’s really hard to say . I would lean more to the console display or console. Because your buttons don’t respond. The lower controller has nothing to do with the console buttons
Hi Dave, I'm troubleshooting an F63 for my daughter. I have 120 volts on the power board and also one green LED. Nothing on the display tho sadly. Have checked continuity up to the display and its good. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Mark
Most likely this is a bad controller. Send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro @gmail.com so I can see what wire harness you have in general you should have 17 VDC on orange and blue. Going to console
Very informative video.. I started with a LS* error and lubricated the base and got rid of that error. But i always felt a stutter, the belt slowing down , when we put pressure on it (stand on it etc).. I was thinking that it was a motor issue, board issue, sensor issue and after watching this video, I think it may be a belt issue (i.e. worn out belt)... Any diagnosis you could suggest to confirm the same? To elaborate a bit, the belt by itself runs fine from 0.5 to 12.0- speeds. However, lets say at 0.5 speed, when i start walking, it stops totally.. At 2.0 speed, it crawls at probaly 0.75 mph when i stand on it (I am 140 lbs approx)... Remove and re-tightened the sensor, lubricated the board enough, adjusted the belt tightness enough but still no avail.. Before i spend money on a motor or board (I dont think the board is at issue, after looking this video), how do i ensuire its the belt thats the culprit? Thanks again for a very informative video
Well thank you. You have really if your unit runs with no one on it then it leans to the belt . But I would check the deck for cracking or wear marks. Do a walk belt test. Even check the amps when walking. And then with no one on it. If you want send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@gmail so I can see what you have. And send you more troubleshooting videos
@@FitnessTechnologyServices Thank you for the response.. I will send the serial number.. Not sure how to do the amps test.. But will check it out as well
Hey Dave, i have a sole f63 treadmill with the ls1 fault. Looking at my lower control board the led for the speed sensor isn't flashing at all but the treadmill runs slower then faster then slower etc etc (hunting) then eventually ls1 faults. Should I start with replacing the speed sensor?
Great video. My control board works , I have the click sound but my motor doesn't turn on. At one point if I left the power on for 10 minutes before starting the treadmill it would start. Could I have a bad transformer? I also tested my motor with connection of the pos and neg and it was way stiffer. So my motor is good I believe
Well the next step is to run your motor off a dc battery if it works off battery then motor controller is not putting out dc to motor .The click just means the console is working
same happened to me i tested this out and hooked up to my. drill battery and tested the motor which works and causes the belt to run could this just be a bad control board the incline , built in fan and all bottons work just not movement in belt . Thank you in advance
@@FitnessTechnologyServices all up to here is okay, motor spins with a 18v cordless drill battery. What is next? Board doesnt send power to motor i get that but any obvious culprits? Thanks!
I replaced the board on my F63 (burnt-out diode) now the breaker pops when I turn it on. What I've found is that disconnecting the main wire harness from the board will stop the breaker from popping BUT then the transformer started smoking/burning in a few seconds. So I'm not sure if this a bad transformer, a dead short in the control panel, or both.
Well that’s bad if you have your main harness unhooked and still a issue with your transformer I would unhook everything I could ( incline motor and running motor) to see they have a issue. If you still have a issue with nothing extra on board you may need a transformer and controller
My f63 shows LS1 error. Also noticed that you pointed out the two fault leds in the video. The bottom one is lit constantly on my control board. What does that mean? Can I fix it or do I need to replace the Control board completely?
Well you would have to replace controller board or have it rebuilt. But also check your walk belt ! 85% of controllers fail due to worn walk belt causing high amperage send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@ gmail.com I can send you links for testing
@FitnessTechnologyServices Thank you for posting these videos. We have a F85 and of the two LEDs that you mentioned which should never be turned On, we have a bottom one lit up after we have had a power outage. Serial no is 5858121506014209. Please help us figure out our next steps. Thank you!
Hi Dave I’m having the following problem my treadmill motor moves but doesn’t achieve the proper incline. I calibrated it and it went all the way up and all the way down. But when running a workout it doesn’t function properly any recommendations
@@omarnabulsi4535 No I don’t think it is the motor if the sensor in the motor fails it does not normally work again. If you can find just the incline sensor it may be worth a try but if you re-calibrate it all the time I would think it is in the console
Excellent video and very simple and clear explanation. I seek you assistance with my old Proteus MT 6200. On startup it goes to full speed although programmed to run at 5km per hour. Have checked the speed sensor which is working fine. Any advice please.
Well thank you this is more than likely a bad controller. The only other thing you can try is run your motor off a battery see if it runs smoothly. But it has to be a dc powered motor

Hey Dave, I have an f80 (I believe still under warranty) but I hadn’t used it in 4 months, got an E2 code and then an E5 code, i took off the cover and saw that the red wire coming from the mother to the motherboard was completely burned and corroded, I’ve had this treadmill for a year now, would replacing the motherboard fix this issue?
do you have any advice on actual repairing an incline motor? I have a Pacemaster Platinum Pro VR 120v treadmill with a noisy incline motor. I took it apart to lube it... but on reassembly, the potentiometer that senses screw position is not working properly. Is there a reliable way to fix this (other than trying to buy a new one from the US - I'm in Canada). I tried to reinstall it in the neutral position (jacked up the end of the bed to a zero degree incline and adjusted the screw to that position but the system only works for a while, then sticks at the extreme position and gives an incline error. resetting the machine takes care of it, at least initially. Is there a reliable way to set this up so that the potentiometer is within limits?
I picked up a Sole f80 treadmill (2015 model I think). The incline shows an E-2 error. I tried the calibration and that also showed e-2 error for incline after the speed test. Any recommendations to find out if I can fix it? Running works just fine, but I’d love to have the incline working.
@@FitnessTechnologyServices I’m not exactly sure what is meant by that. The monitor sometimes allows me to change the incline on the screen after rebooting, but it won’t actually move the incline and immediately switches to E-2 error on the incline display. I’ve only seen the incline light try to pop on once during a factory reboot/calibration. Not sure if something actually needs replaced or if it’s worth risking being able to run on it if I mess something up.
I just bought an F63 today and assembled it and the console/monitor turns on but not a single button works on there. The tread won’t even move when I hit start. I triple checked all of the wires to make sure they are connected firmly. I am looking at the green board that you have shown in the video and have a constant red light. No green light. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Well the newer controllers have a red light. So that’s ok if your console comes on then controller is sending voltage. There must be something in the buttons board I would call sole right away
@@FitnessTechnologyServices I did notice that when we unpackaged it, the 2 had a small dent and does not depress like the other buttons, I wonder if it got hit during shipping from Sole to Dicks sporting goods and that caused the electronics to be faulty?
so I just bought a f85, we had a separate 15 amp breaker and normal outlet installed. I plugged the treadmill in, turned the switch on, saw a white flash inside the motor cover and the screen/console now won't turn on. This hasn't been a great 3 week experience since I got it delivered. Hasn't been used once.
Hmmm that is so hard to say a short in the wire, Pinching in the right side harness up to console . Can you tell on the controller what blew .. You should call sole right away
There's an issue with my treadmill. As soon as I plug the switch. The treadmill after INITIALIZATION starts 3 2 1 and starts automatically without me selecting manual or anything. runs on speed 1 and no buttons work at all. I can go into the factory settings but the buttons don't work after its in the menu. Since you deal with sole treadmills. I hope you maybe familiar with this problem. I will be happy if you can help me. The model is sole F85 and is 2013 model as you have in your videos.
Hi, I have a 2014 Sole F63. It was working great up until a couple days ago. I hit the “Start” button to start the treadmill (can’t move until the belt is moving), and as soon as I do, the circuit breaker for the outlet trips (at the circuit panel). Any ideas? I havent connected any new devices to the circuit.
I would try to run the unit with you standing on the side This way there will be no load on the unit. Then try the incline. If it trips again unhook the incline and see if it works better
Thanks for the good content! My F63 only inclines one way when I try to calibrate it (I switch the UP and DOWN wires). When I just press START the incline does nothing but the numbers change on the screen and eventually reads ERR. This is after replacing both the lower control board AND incline motor. Do you think it's another faulty LCB?
Hmm hard to say when you switch the red and black and make it work then in normal mode incline does not move this may be due to only one signal being received to incline . Try when in down mode hook the black wire to the up terminal see if that works check your wires in main wire harness for the up signal being lost send me your contact # for better troubleshooting fitnesspartspro@gmail.com
Hi there, great video can you help me I have a sole F 80 it goes on but when I push start button it trips the treadmill Breaker what can be the problem Thank you Domenico

I have a Sole F80 with pretty much this exact control board. After viewing this video and watching the green lights, while walking on the treadmill I find that the light on the left side of this board, below the speed sensor light and black diode, starts flashing and eventually stays on first, then the top light of the two that you say should never come on illuminates and the slow speed alarm triggers. Hoping you can tell me the function of the first green light as it isn't identified in this video. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Dave, I've been watching your videos and I really appreciate all the tips. I've been having issues with my Sole F80 and e7 errors that I can't seem to get their tech help to figure out. They've sent me a "new" control board, and most recently a whole new upper unit because they suspected the e7 error was "burned into the software". No change. Can't even get it to calibrate at all, e7 pops up immediately just like when trying to start up the belt for a workout. Any thoughts?
Hmmm that’s a tough one ! Ok they have a E/7 listed as a power issue. I would make sure you have 120vac going to your controller. If so check your controller power light should be sold green. Not pulsing. Next check your wire harness mostly the right arm going down to controller. Maybe even run it on the outside of upright. Have you reconnected your old controller just to see ! Let me know Dave
Hello sir. I have a Sole F80 purchased in 2010 aprox. I’m getting a LS1 error, belt will not start at all but inclines works ok. The board next to the motor has 2 red lights that are on when I switch on. Do I need to replace this board? I saw in EBay got $109, Thank you very much.
Yes sir that sounds like a controller to me. Before investing in a controller check your walk belt 90% of all controllers go out due to worn walking belt . Causing high amps drawn and overheating. See my video “ Testing my sole walkbelt” . Thanks Dave
Thanks for the helpful videos. I have a Sole F63 that’s producing an LS1 error. I did have a replacement lower control board which I put in and with when I press start the treadmill’s internal circuit breaker trips (I tried replacing the breaker also and that made no difference). If I unplug the blue low voltage AC connection the breaker doesn’t trip but I’m back to getting the LS1 error. I tested the motor with a battery and it works. Do I have a 2 bad boards here or is there something else going on? I would be fine ordering a board if I knew that was the answer. Thanks.
Hmm this is a hard one.Did this happen the same way on both controllers . And on the second one was it right away or did it work for a while. The blue wires are for the dc motor. Try unhooking the motor and see if it still trips with no load . Most lower controllers go bad on motor side . But I would also want to test your walking belt for wear 90% of all controllers fail because of walk belt wear
@@FitnessTechnologyServices On the original controller, the circuit breaker doesn't trip but I do get the LS1 error and the belt doesn't move at all. On the second controller, the breaker trips right after pressing the start button and it did this from the moment I installed it. When I get home in a few hours I'll try disconnecting the DC motor from the board. Thanks!

I stumbled on this through your website looking at control boards for a Sole F80. I'm pretty sure I wore the control board out because of improper belt maintenance or neglecting to keep it lubed. What happened is I walked at 4mph and after a few minutes the belt would suddenly stop (not slow down) and beep and LS1 error. Thank goodness I wasn't running. I could also smell some electrical in the controller board area. Sole said it was the controller board. Does that sound correct? If so, I'll be ordering one from your site as well as a new belt.
Well thank you but first send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@gmail.com so I can send you some links to test your belt wear . Or if want look at my channel find testing your belt .Also with your serial number I can see if your deck is under warranty no need to buy more than you need but thank you for thinking of me Dave
hello: I have a f63 sole treadmill: I was on it and i received a e6 error and the treadmill came to a stop. My husband went through the calibration procedure and once again we got a e6 error. So he took the cover off and check the position of speed sensor next to the pully which looked good. Once we tried to start the treadmill received a e6 error immediately .He has not checked the motor yet. Any clues or what can we check next.
E/6 is normally a bad motor controller you will also need to do a walk belt test to see if worn walk belt is the reason. Question i have a sole f60 the incline stopped working . I opened it up and it's plugged in the correct location but still gives a e2 error code. Is there a way to check the incline motor to see if it burned out?
Hey 😃 great video. I am trying to repair a technogym lower control board and when i plug it in everything works ( 5v 12v 24v 400v and the fans also) but after a few seconds the red alarm led turns on and stays on. Any ideas? Kind regards Stephan
I'm getting an E4 error code on my Sole F63. I took the cover off to look at the motor board and saw one of the wires was disconnected from the board. It could be the motor wire based on what you mentioned in the video (my wires are black and red, not red and white like in your video). The red one is not attached to the board anymore. However it looks like it may have been soldered on to the board as this doesn't appear to be a wire that gets plugged into anything. Any suggestions on how to fix it?
You will have to replace your controller board. And depending on how burnt your motor wire is you may need to replace the connector also.Send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@ gmail.com and the office will check on any warranty parts
I just got a NordicTrack x7i from a friend… It worked fine at his house, wifi connection and all were fine, now , at my house, the console turned on, went through a series of screens, ended up on the iFit blue screen, but nothing works, no buttons, no belt movement, no inclination, start stop buttons are not even working Nothing on the console works, except a blue screen with the i Fit logo lights up Am I missing a step to activate? NordicTrack customer service technician support said something about communication from the console and the wireless router connection? What to you think? Is the power light always green on most models of treadmills? Mine is red. Is that a trouble code when it's red indicating there's an issue? Problem is relay clicks over but motor does not turn on. TIA
Well no red is ok they use red lights on some models. Is the light pulsing or steady . Try hooking your motor to a drill battery to see if it is good. After that you will change your controller . But beware most controllers go bad due to high walk belt friction
@@FitnessTechnologyServices Thanks for the reply. I've tried a battery with the motor and the motor works but when I try to change speed the board doesn't tell the motor to turn on. By controller you mean the whole board? Or a motor relay?

I have a Sole F80 SN 5808880911024846. The power will come on and when I press the start button it starts to countdown. But when it gets ready to hit 1 it stops. Sometimes I hear the breaker box wanting to trip but it doesn't. The fuse looks good on the control board. Those two fault lights next to each other on your video aren't in the same place as my board, but neither is lit. I notice the light next to the power light on the board barely flickers when the treadmill fails to start, but it doesn't stay on either. Do you think my board is still fried or do you think there is another issue? Would it fail on the countdown is my motor went bad too?
This is a hard one if it fails before the countdown it would lean towards the console? But if the fault is just after the countdown is done. It would be the controller. You can test the motor of a battery. But due to the age of the unit I would walk test the walk belt 90% of all controllers fail due to overheating from friction caused by the walk belt . I have videos on both if needed
@@FitnessTechnologyServices Here is a video I was able to find on Reddit. It is the same model treadmill I have (Sole F80) and this is exactly what mine is doing so you can see exactly what's happening. This person wasn't able to figure out what happened either. I know you probably can't diagnose from the video but I though it wouldn't hurt for you to see it incase you had seen this happen now that you can see the video. I have a Xterra Trx3500. When I hit start the display counts down, I hear the relay click and the belt moves about a half inch the it displays E6 error code. I replaced the control board 2 twice with the same error. I have check the motor and it runs. I have checked the cable from the control board to the display for continuity. I also checked the speed sensor for continuity by placing it by the magnet. The control board receives full 110v and the motor and incline gets it as well until the unit starts.
Well I looked at a Xterra yesterday there controller has no lights for troubleshooting no way to tell ? The relay you hear just tells you the safety key is in a E/6 is listed as a Communication error in soles manual. I would replace the wire harness just to see, was there higher ohms on any of the main wire harness
my heart monitor isn't working after having a tech come out to fix it. I also get a chock when I touch the handles for heart rate. Do you think the mother board is bad. my machine is only a month old. it is an F-63
No for sure I would not think this has anything to do with the controller. On the heart rate does it work on the hand held pulse bars. If yes then it is either the heart rate receiver in the console or the chest strap is bad. On shocking does it happen all the time? Try running the unit with no one on it and touching it while you are standing next to it. If it only happens when you are on it. It may need lube or belt may be bad causing static buildup. Kinda like when you get shocked when you walk on new carpet lube can often help this ....Dave

Hello, I have the F63 model and as I was running the treadmill stopped as if I pulled the tether cord but I didn’t. Now the console does not light up blue, and no buttons work or beep when I press it, so the treadmill will not run. The red power switch in the front of the treadmill is lit. Any clue as to what the problem may be ? Thank you for your help.

@@garrettstewart9479 Really? No, I talked to Sole and they said I need a whole new console. That's the most expensive part of the treadmill and it's no longer covered with the warranty which is a huge bummer. They also charge for a tech to come out and install the console.

I have the F63 (SN 56381415....). It counts down from 3, 2, 1 and then the display says 0.5 mph but the motor/belt is not moving. 5 seconds later the console reads LS1 error. I disconnected the motor from the Control Board and used a 9V battery as a source of power for the motor to determine if the motor is bad. The motor runs. I then validated that the incline Up / Down lights on the board work as the unit is calling for an Incline command. I then found the PWM light and observed it when I press the Start button. The PWM light turns ON but then turns OFF when the 3 second countdown hits Zero. Does this mean the Control Board is OK but the Display Console is the issue? If so, do you have a video or even a flow chart on the proper protocol for troubleshooting.
Hmm I would think the console is ok because it does send the PWM to start controller. And the controller is not processing it . There is a video on testing your controller (pin test) on UA-cam by Boyles fineness . This way you’ll be sure.
Thank you for the fast response! So based on the information I provided to you that the issue may be between the Controller (board) and the Console. Therefore, the "nerve center" between the two is the wiring and a "PIN TEST" may validate an issue, correct? If so, have you ever heard of a failure like this? To be sure, I attached the link I believe you recommended to me to confirm this is the one. ua-cam.com/video/-BDTdA-jg2Q/v-deo.html UPDATE: I have the F63 (SN 56381415....). It counts down from 3, 2, 1 and then the display says 0.5 mph but the motor/belt is NOT moving. 5 seconds later the console reads LS1 error. ALL Console controls (fan/incline) work/display before the LS1 error appears. The Control console can also alter the speed display but does not do anything to the motor. The PWM light turns ON but then turns OFF about 5 seconds AFTER the 3 second countdown hits Zero. I attached my Multi-Meter to read voltage off the Control Board, after I disconnected the Red/Black motor wires for the Battery Test and do NOT read any D.C voltage when Powered On, during the Start/3 Second Countdown, or up to the LS1 error. I do not hear any "clicking" during /directly after the 3 second count down and not sure if there was a Relay that should do that or not? Note: I noticed a green LED light on all the time above the motor connection on the board. It appears to read Motor DRV. There is another LED light, not on, next to it that reads "Shut Down". Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Jay
Hi, I have a Proform 600i treadmill, but I can't get it into calibration mode. I have tried both stop and speed up and stop and speed down, but it still won't go into calibration mode. I don't have a settings button, but otherwise, everything works fine.
@@FitnessTechnologyServices This model is not a touch screen, I don't have a gear icon. Yes, it is working fine, but the problem with that is that if in the future I need to calibrate it, it means that I won't be able to.
@@MrBullythecat unless you change the lower controller you should not have to. And if you have to change the console hopefully it will calibrate . Because calibration is the console responsibility
@@FitnessTechnologyServices I have an older model treadmill, I changed the console 2 days ago because the old console sent the incline to the highest level and it stuck there, none of the buttons worked. This new console works fine now but every time I switch it off and unplug it, the next day when I put it on the incline only moves 1 incline, for instance, if I press level 10 it only moves up 1 level. I then have to do a calibration to correct this problem. Today I tried to calibrate the incline when up only 1 level, i then pulled off the safety key and put it back, and then it did a correct calibration. This happens every time I go to use the treadmill. Can you guide me as to what I need to change? The console is new.
I've read so many negative reviews of Sole treadmills. Most are bad control board, "low speed error," and other stupid electrical issues. Besides those issues, I have read nothing but very negative customer service reports. I was going to buy one, but no more.
Well that’s sad to hear. I do work on plenty of them were they are 10 years or older. The reason you read so much about the LS1 error is because every fault that the unit has to due with belt moving shows up as LS1 on units before 2016 . Make sure you judge your purchase by how long the factory warranty is it is the most important thing
@@FitnessTechnologyServicesAll I've read are nightmare stories about Sole's horrible customer service. Warranty means very little if customer service is bad.

@FitnessTechnologyServices doesn't flash, did have a burn spot on red wire going to motor. Sole is sending me a new motor but it's on back order. But I did the battery check on the motor and it runs, don't know how it would do under load. All we did was move it and then when first turned on it started, I turned up speed and started walking and it stopped and gave e5. I think it's maybe the board like a transformer, etc shot.
If I provide a few details, I was hoping you could point me in the right direction as far as repair. My Sole F80 treadmill is 2 years old, well maintained and has been working fine. I was on the treadmill today when the power to my house suddenly went out, then instantly came back on. Now my treadmill is not working properly…..the belt is not running at normal speed (slower than normal-I basically have to turn it up o 12mph just to get it to my walking speed of 4mph) and even then, the speed is not consistent…..the slow running belt is constantly ‘pulsing’….its not maintaining a constant speed. My display works fine-no errors. I hear the ‘click’ when I start it. The incline works (although I think it might be inclining slower than normal). The ONLY light I see lit up is the solid green light. Do you believe this to be the motor itself or something with the electrical board? Could it be just the speed sensor is not working now, or likely something else on the circuit board? Given the details I provided, do you believe I should have the entire circuit board replaced? Is there any it else I should check? I just don’t know where to start. Thanks for any help you can provide, I live in a rural area and no techs are available right now and need to get this fixed asap.
I am sorry I missed this I thought it was answered on email. But I would say this is the controller pulsing walk belt is normally a sign of bad motor controller

When I turn on my treadmill I hear a loud beeping noise. Probably some error alarm. If I turn it off and on again I hear a click and it comes on. Could that be a failing relay? I didn't fond anything about it in the manual and it's almost too predictable, always on the second turn on
@@FitnessTechnologyServices I'm thinking relay because I hear a click the second time I turn it on. But it's so predictable that it's hard to believe that the relay would only turn on the second time. If I turn it off and on later it goes right on. The next day there's the buzzer again.

Good Morning Tonya, It really depends on what year. the ones before 2010 use the red led as a signal light from your console, not a speed light. If it is coming on, then normally the console signal is being sent. If the belt moves for 5 seconds or so with no one on it, I would start with the speed sensor. If it only acts up while someone is using it or trying, then it's probably a worn walk belt over heating the controller.

Yes for sure. Send me your serial number to Fitnesspartspro@gmail.com So I can send you links for parts
Thanks!
@@b0rd3n well 90% of all controllers go bad due to walk belt wear.Causing the controller to overheat/ pull high amps.See video testing Sole walk belt

Hi Dave I’m having the following problem my treadmill motor moves but doesn’t achieve the proper incline. I calibrated it and it went all the way up and all the way down. But when running a workout it doesn’t function properly any recommendations
Hmm this sounds like the console is sending the correct signal. Does it do this in all programs
Yes frequently and I have to calibrate almost daily if I don’t doesn’t work do you think it’s a motor problem shall I change that
@@omarnabulsi4535 No I don’t think it is the motor if the sensor in the motor fails it does not normally work again.

Well if the wires on the motor are also burnt You should replace both . The parts could be under warranty with sole
do you have any advice on actual repairing an incline motor?
I am sorry I don’t know pacemaster system at all been out of business in the USA . For over 10 years
I picked up a Sole f80 treadmill (2015 model I think). The incline shows an E-2 error. I tried the calibration and that also showed e-2 error for incline after the speed test. Any recommendations to find out if I can fix it? Running works just fine, but I’d love to have the incline working.
The only thing you can do is check the controller for 110 on the incline leads. Does the Relay click on the board when you first turn it on
@@FitnessTechnologyServices yes, the relay clicks.
@@snessteve8266 So its receiving the console signal best bet is controller incline motor normally doesn’t fail with this issue

I have the same issue. Any answers would be appreciated.
*Can’t move the incline*

Hi Dave, I've been watching your videos and I really appreciate all the tips. I've been having issues with my Sole F80 and e7 errors that I can't seem to get their tech help to figure out. Thanks for the helpful videos. I have a Sole F63 that’s producing an LS1 error. Hmm this is a hard one.Did this happen the same way on both controllers . And on the second one was it right away or did it work for a while. The blue wires are for the dc motor. I stumbled on this through your website looking at control boards for a Sole F80. I'm pretty sure I wore the control board out because of improper belt maintenance or neglecting to keep it lubed. Thank you. Try running your motor off a dc battery just to eliminate it. Then check your PWM light on your controller this is the signal from the console see if it comes on. I can’t help on component level repair Tracing In the field we replace the controller
@@FitnessTechnologyServices thanks for help , I ran the motor on battery its work normally I think should replace the IC controller its the final step hope its work again thanks for help I appreciate that .
Oops I do have a video on troubleshooting sole motor controller
Oops again the one you have seen
Thank you for the fast response! So based on the information I provided to you that the issue may be between the Controller (board) and the Console. Therefore, the "nerve center" between the two is the wiring and a "PIN TEST" may validate an issue, correct? If so, have you ever heard of a failure like this?
To be sure, I attached the link I believe you recommended to me to confirm this is the one.

UPDATE:
I have the F63 (SN 56381415....). It counts down from 3, 2, 1 and then the display says 0.5 mph but the motor/belt is NOT moving. 5 seconds later the console reads LS1 error. ALL Console controls (fan/incline) work/display before the LS1 error appears. The Control console can also alter the speed display but does not do anything to the motor.

@@MrBullythecat well if it is a touch screen you have to touch the gear ⚙️ icon. But if it is working fine there is no gain in calibration
@@sahacking That’s a good point I wasn’t really talking about just sole . But just in general it is way worse to have to pay for parts of something happens in a short period at least with a warranty you can get parts. I talk to people all over the world so part warranty and service are always first choice. Some countries only sell units with no part warranty ?
Hey bud, I've got an F80 that won't let me calibrate, and when I go to start the belt tries to move and stops like right after, E7 error code 99% of the time, think I saw an E5 flash by as well at one point.

That is for sure true never touch metal to the board I am just pointing it to component on the board. And definitely not teaching any one to do that
I have a f63 and have recently been receiving an E7 code. There’s a screeching noise before the belt starts to move and then it stops and shows the e7 code. I can no longer just press the start button for the treadmill to work, I have to use a program setting.

Any advice for sole f63 e5 error. Replaced main wire sections still gives e5.
Hmm on newer models 18 and newer they have a e/5 listed as a communications issue. On your unit you may have only one power light located by the main harness if this is flashing then controller is bad
@FitnessTechnologyServices doesn't flash, did have a burn spot on red wire going to motor. Sole is sending me a new motor but it's on back order. But I did the battery check on the motor and it runs, don't know how it would do under load.
I have a Sole F63 and yesterday I was using it and it suddenly stopped and shut off. It is plugged in and the switch is on, with the light showing it's on, but the treadmill panel is dark and it won't start. What could cause this to happen?

I have a Weslo cadence treadmill and the control board has a red LED and the board makes a high pitch buzzing nose without running the treadmill
You could try disconnecting. Drive motor. Just to see if is a motor load issue. But more than likely the controller is bad
When I turn on my treadmill I hear a loud beeping noise. Probably some error alarm. If I turn it off and on again I hear a click and it comes on. Could that be a failing relay? I didn't fond anything about it in the manual and it's almost too predictable, always on the second turn on
Well I have never heard of a error sound . Only codes I would think this is a console issue and when you reset it you reboot the console
@@FitnessTechnologyServices it sounds like an UPS buzzer. A continuous, high pitched noise but there's no error code.
@@westsenkovec Hmm is it only in the controller maybe one of the relays ? Or can you hear a noise in the console
@@FitnessTechnologyServices I'm thinking relay because I hear a click the second time I turn it on. But it's so predictable that it's hard to believe that the relay would only turn on the second time. If I turn it off and on later it goes right on. The next day there's the buzzer again.

I have a f63 sole treadmill my controller screen does not turn on and the power led on the board is very faint and flickering. Any idea if its the board?

What does it mean if that green light is red? I have a L5 and low speed error after about 5 seconds and it stops. Please help me!
I will respond to your email on fitnesspartspro@gmail.com where you can send me your serial number there and I will give you the link to our website for the sensor for your unit.
