I work in a mental health housing program that houses over 20 residents. I made this for our clients today and they loved it. Not only was it easy and cheap to make on such a small budget but it tastes amazing! - Thank you!

+SMP 088 And dog food. Dog food is cheap. So are carrots. Carrots are cheap enough to feed to horses. No bottled water though. Too expensive. Toilet water is fine.

You make an excellent point about using cold rice! In Chinese it is called "fried cold rice" because it is best to use rice made the day before that has been chilled to reduce the moisture, so then the rice won't stick together or be soggy when you fry it. I learned that from my iron chef dad lol :)

I made this tonight and it taste so amazing. Since I'm a vegetarian I didn't add the meat and substituted it with portabella mushrooms and it tastes amazing! I also used fresh cooked regular white rice. I just wish I had some Sriracha sauce to really set it off.

TY for sharing. I went to a Japanese restaurant and they grilled the rice in butter. I tried the butter at home, not enough butter, I thought. I kept adding butter. It was NOT good. I gave away my Jasmine rice bc I did not think think that was the problem. Ugh, wish I saw this video first. Now, I have to buy Jasmine rice again. (Mexican here, so I usually buy long grain...but, I want to try it again, the right way.) Thanks for adding the explanation. Oh, dang. I thought I subscribed a long time ago long there. You are so cute. I cannot wait to share with my daughter-in-law, my son, my grandbaby, and my daughter-in-law's mother. My daughter-in-law is my son's apple of his eye. I really want to impress her to show her family how happy I am that she is making my son so happy
AND, she gave me a gbaby.

Hi Seonkyoung!! I'm Chinese and this is so similar to how my parents cook it. They add just the tiniest bit of sesame oil at the end as well, and we like to throw in more vegetables. Other than that, this was a great representation of Chinese fried rice. Thanks for all the great videos!

No. The 497 people who disliked this, have eaten authentic Chinese Fried Rice and are shocked and dismayed by this utter rubbish passing for a recipe! Read my comment above. You cannot tell the difference between a good recipe and a bad one, nor can you spell. ASIA'S FOOD, not ASIAN'S FOOD. Asia by the way, is a continent not a country. The food is so varied, you might as well say, you like Earth food over Martian meals.

A lot of Australians and people from other countries that use the metric system watch your videos too. It would be great if you could also put the measurements in brackets in the metric system too. I always have to Google to do the conversion and this can take some time. I LOVE all your AMAZING recipes but I admit I've refrained from cooking meals sometimes because I didn't have the time to look up all the conversions on Google. Your meals are a huge hit in my family!!! I am hoping u will make it even easier sometimes by putting metric conversions too in the ingredients list. More people from around the world will cook them too because it's all there. Thanks

I know it’s been a year, but sake and Chinese cooking wine both have the same function in removing the meat smell, so yes, sake can be used. Mirin can also be used, but this will add sweetness to your meat. Chinese sausage can be purchased at Chinese supermarkets. Nothing more to it. Look for Chinese supermarkets in your area, but if you don’t have it you could use literally any meat you want, like spam, ham, chopped up hot dogs, leftover pork shoulder, etc. Literally any meat should be fine, as long as it isn’t barbecue chicken or something with a lot of sauce on it.
