Was rooting for both teams tbh. For chovy because he really deserve this and he's been working hard for a while. While for DK, even though Showmaker and Canyon won Worlds already in 2020, seeing them playing their hearts out after 2 losses were just... man how can you not love them

Holy moly bro what a series!! I thought gen g had it in the bag but showmaker said nah and almost single handedly brought it back with a reverse sweep. Then game 5 was insanely back and forth. I was practically seizing in my chair through that entire last teamfight with how back an forth it was. I need to take a few deep breaths after this one. Easily the best series of the tournament.
even though they lost, Damwon always put up a good show at worlds. always the banger series

Loved both teams, really hoped DWG would win.
Sad both teams didn't reach semi, but insanely high quality League of Legends! Could have been a finals match.
I feel so emotionally drained. I loved both of these teams, I didn't want either of them to lose because they had to fight each other. Damwon played so well and I'm so upset their gone now. I really hope Nuguri doesn't quit League because of this, he played very well and I want him to succeed again. Same for Canyon and SM. For GENG, I really like them too, but I can't say they were the best team going into the semis when they were so reliant on the cat, and was crippled badly once it was taken away. They really need to step it up and expand their pool or else they won't stand a chance against T1 or JDG

Pretty disgusting and cringe to try and take away from GENGs win just because 2 of their wins had yuumi, as if that's their fault? Damwon chose to not ban yuumi because they thought they could deal with it, and were proved wrong so they banned it. Game 5 had no yuumi and they were unable to beat GENG so ??????? GENG gave aphelios to DK's aphelios otp adc player 3 games in a row but that wouldn't have made DK's win any less impressive if they had won
@@KSlayer112 Literally fans the are salty uses the drafts as an excuse, they literally chose to handshake GEN with Yuumi so that's their fault since drafting is already part of the game. Like GEN would win these series early if they also banned Deokdam's Aphelios too.

Just like any other sport "in the real world"!!! And it is OK to be a fan of one of them, root for their win, and feel sad when they lose, and feel "emotionally drained" when two teams that you like face each other and one has to be eliminated. What I'm trying to say is... nvm you won't get it anyway. For example, I'm 36 years old, have a wife, a cat, a career as a software architect, work for an IT company in energy sector and make 6 figures. And LoL is my favorite sport to follow. What a series, i am a genG fan and after canyon stomped peanut game 4 and then permainvade his jgl game 5, stole all the drakes and made that insane 3 man knockuo i was literally sweating and when they managed to win the ladt teamfight i just screamed! Amazing series!

No, e.g. Bengi was much better, canyon can only play carry jungglers and needs ressources for that. Prime DanDy, Score, ambition were better. Also other players like diamondprox and Insec had a much bigger impact on the junggle role by reinventing parts of it (e.g. counterjunggling or insec the lee sin kickback). Even in the current tournement are better jungglers like kanavi and peanut. Also he messed up a lot this series like game 1 first blood play which in return cost nuguri his lane cuz he committed flash, the failed smite at baron which would ve won them the game, was non-existent game 3, inted fb and got carried by showmaker. Showmaker was the outstanding player this game and he was reason they had comeback hops in the games they lost not canyon. Peanut was the better junggler this game and unlike canyon he can also play tank jungglers for his team and is no hit or miss carry only junggler, even tho his graves, lee sin etc. picks are outstanding.

Imagine if Damwon had first seed out of groups. They could have been on the top side of the bracket where JDG is currently. It truly sucks that they leave so early but ultimately it's on them.

How fucking insane this series was. My favorite series ever so far. Sadly DK lost, but they performed so good. I hope in another banger performance by my boys Canyon and Showmaker this Worlds too.

Kellin and deokdam still needs more exp on the world stage. But if nuguri goes for that lucian at the last fight and didnt back off. He could have bought some time for showmaker and their bot duo.

tbh that syndra was useless whole game long till that canyon flank, he shouldnt have go with it hut yes nuguri shouldnt stick with sejuani that long and this game he shouldve go goredrinker build to just BE in top of the lucian
this was THE REAL best worlds series of all time. DRX x EDG was good but it was honestly just DRX throwing game 1 and 2 and then stomping EDG for 3 straight games, and T1 x ROX Tigers in 2016 was also good but the tank meta at the time kinda ruined the chances of many big time plays happening, while this series right here had multiple different players having so many highlight moments. This was beautiful.
PS: maybe if it wasn't for the massive ad gap, ShowMaker could've been crowned for the biggest series carry of all time

This will go down in the worlds history the emotional ride from relief, to excitement, to afraid, to depression, and to ecstatic all at once in one series. The only thing I wished is add a lower bracket and made DK vs GenG a best of 7.

I’m a DK fan but this was such an amazing series to watch and while I’m sad they’re out of the tournament, these beautiful 5 games made it almost wort it. Props to Ruler for stepping up when it mattered.
Both teams are definitely top 4 along with JDG and T1, unless proven otherwise.

DK usually let their bot lane play luc nami for some reason even though they don’t perform well with that pick back in summer split and playoff.
Until they get 0-2 by GEN in this series that DK decide their bot lane should play something else like come on.

I'm a LPL fan but I have to say this is the best series so far this year. All 4 Lck teams look so strong which reminds me of the days back in 2016 and 2017. Applause for Showmaker and Canyon, best Midjug.

Earlier, my heart was gonna explode because of how intense the game 5 is. No one can predict the outcome of that one because of the heroic play of showmaker in that game. I'll lose hope in gen g winning it because Dk has the momentum but Ruler has this experience from 2017 worlds that he is the clutch player. I know that he stick for being the face of the organization. Kuddos to Griffin boys and Peanut who was hungry to win it all! Congrats agin Gen G!

Canyon admitted in a hospital apparently for breaking his back carrying his team..
Canyon carrying them? I mean he totaly failed game 1 fb play and that backfired heavily for nuguri, failed the smite at baron, which would ve been game for DWK, inted fb game 3 and got turbo carried by Showmaker 1v5ing the game and game 4 was basically a bot diff. The comeback in game 5 was also mainly due to showmaker. Showmaker carried the team and the coach of DWK broke their back by letting the 100% winrate yuumi through in game 1 and game 2 for whatever reason.
After i get off to work, finding out that there's a game 5... sitting around with the start of the game.
After this 29:52 massive turning point... i immediately close twitch, i almost got a massive heart attack as a Gen G fan lol.

I just love how the casters says the name of the skills for each champ. Hostile Takeover, Bullet Time, Emperor's Divide, etc.
I have mixed feelings about this series. DWG not banning yuumi, forced them to make a lot of plays in early/mid game which they failed because it required almost perfection. Then 2 decisive wins from DWG and last game, with their great comeback fight. First time I really regret there is no double elimination bracket and we don't know where to place DWG, because I feel they lost mainly due to overcomplicated drafts, that had very small error margin.
With this, Ruler just became the 3rd player in League history to have at least 4 Worlds semifinals appearences, alongside Jankos (also 4) and Faker (7).
Peanut also became only the 13th player in League history with at least 3 appearences in Worlds semis.
And every with a different team lol
showmaker is such an underrated mid-laner and overshadowed by faker and chovy.
Tbh DK vs GenG was always hype af... If it was BO3 then we'll have 3 games and 5 games if BO5 .. but look like DK lost all games vs GenG this year .. feelsbadman
