He not only practised religious tolerance, but encouraged cultures & arts of various different religions/cultures/communities & made them flourish ! mughal e azam was an epic movie which can be niether produced nor directed for its photography and constume design and what not everything is epic the lyrics were and can the never ber heard . It is really hard for anyone to get to this level. It will take another 100 years to get incarnation of naushad saab and asif saab who spent crores of rupees in this epic movie making believe me. And asif saab and anushad saab were very much adament on doing this way. Today and even generations to come none can match these legendary individuals. Specifically the photography of the song with mirrors and what not everything. We have everything it is so called the documentary for students apiring to be directors and even performing arts kathak which has that significance last but not least acting skills is the documentary again none can replace dilipkumar saab is one of the gems of india and naushad saab's lyrics wafa ki ag main song is one more to say mughal e azam movie's songs are epic in their own self. Today's bollywood is no match and it does not have any comparision to oldies. Asif saab was very particular about everything right form dialogues / lyrics / sets/ and the acting prowess. "the expression is key for getting the essence of the script" and hence proved. To this day the generations remembers the mughale azam movie songs. For generations to come also it will be remaining a monumental and a case study for the upcoming directors, lyricists, actors, and producers to name a few. If i take ther are many to be added. It is not as easy to perform for this movie songs reason is that is the depth and that is subject the songs hold. It is not everybody's take to perform or showcase. Not every tom dick and hary can perorm. Only one who is thorough with basics of fine arts, dance moves, understood the core concept of ecpressions presentation only can do. There is no second thought about it. The dancers who have performed i am pretty much sure they have done long haul of home work even before getting to the stage show. Every bit of it they made sure nothing goes missing.

Urdu is out come of Hindustani + Persian Languages. Hindustani is influenced by Sanskrit. Its originated in UP India and has a status of one of the official language of India. So using Urdu especially a song is a tradition in Bollywood.
There is one country of hujum also claims that there official language is Urdu. But you can ignore as the country is hardly educated.

I wish I could help you. I just captured the moment on my phone when I was in the Time Square. Check out the Dance groups or organizers in your area.
These folks are part of a musical show called mugle aazam. This is a broadway like show and has been performed all over India in the past couple of years. All these dancers here are part of the group ( you can google details) that was trained in india. Right now the show is in North America this summer I believe.
