Location
1. Gordan’s Garden Tomb is located just 250 yards (220 m.) to the north of the Damascus Gate of Old City Jerusalem.
2. It provides a serene setting in a garden-like place to meditate and reflect upon the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
3. It is considered by many as the true location of Golgotha.
4. The traditional location of Golgotha is at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
5. Both places have evidence of being the location of Golgotha. However, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre has more tradition and activity surrounding it.
6. Both places are within a stone’s throw of each other so regardless of the location we are still in close vicinity of Golgotha.
7. Because we worship a person and not a place, the exact location is not necessary for understanding and reflecting on what Christ did for us at Golgotha.
Historical Background
1. The property of the Garden Tomb was purchased in 1894 by The Garden Tomb Association.
2. It is a Charitable Trust based in the United Kingdom and is made up of people from many different denominations and national backgrounds.
3. Their passion is to help people understand all Christ did for them on the Cross.
4. The site is maintained by volunteers that come from around the globe and join a team of local Palestinians and Israelis.

1. Garden Tomb. A cave-like tomb that can be entered. It has a channel at the entrance where a stone could be rolled to cover and uncover the tomb.
2. A rock face cliff that has the form of a skull which is believed to be Golgotha.
3. Damascus Gate
4. Old City Jerusalem
5. Church of the Holy Sepulchre

Ron Wyatt was a very obvious fraud. He made all sorts of extravagant claims, but offered no viable proof for any of it.
The site of Golgotha and the tomb is the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the same man who did this video did another at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher where he explains in great detail exactly how we know beyond any reasonable doubt that it’s the authentic spot of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

First of all, her name was not “Elena.” Her name was Helena and yes she is now a Saint.
She didn’t “invent” these places. She went to the holy land in about 320 AD on a pilgrimage because she was a devout Christian long before her son converted. While she was there the local Christians and Christians in Jerusalem showed her the sites where these key events occurred. The Christians of Jerusalem had no problem showing her these sites because they were already established sites of devotion dating back to the first Christian community of Jerusalem.
She just had a new Church built there because prior to this time the Romans prevented them from erecting a church there.

The location was where the Jewish historian Josephus said it was and virtually everyone else in the area at that time also said it was there. You need realize that Egypt was already a heavily Christian society with a well established apostolic see that began with Saint Mark the evangelist in the mid 1st Century AD.
Whether that’s the real site or not is not something I’m all that worried about as it’s more important to believe in what happened at Mount Sinai and the truths revealed there, wherever it actually is.
That being said, the sites in Jerusalem have been studied and researched heavily, and ultimately they’ve all been eliminated as possibilities except the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. It’s also highly unlikely that the Christian community of Jerusalem had somehow lost or forgotten the site within just 300 years when the Christian community had consistently been right there in Jerusalem since the crucifixion happened, so they were able keep that knowledge alive and they were already observing devotion at those sites, even when they had to do so in a very private manner to avoid Roman persecution.

The square stones in the wall of the tomb are from a repair of damage during an earthquake years ago. This location matches the scriptures better than the church location. He's right, what matters is our Lord and savior is RISEN, Amen and Maranatha Lord Jesus!
Jewish law said a criminal could not be placed in the family's tomb. It also said anyone that was crucified was cursed and could not be placed in the family's tomb. This applied to Jesus as He was accused of a crime, falsely, and He was crucified. This explains why Jesus was placed in Joseph's tomb and proves the tomb had never been used. Both important fulfillment of prophecy.
Even the cross Jesus was crucified was borrowed, it belonged to Barabbas who likely would have been crucified if Jesus hadn't taken his place. Just like Jesus took our place in death to pay our debt. Barabbas was the "scapegoat" and Jesus was the sacrificial lamb. "Bar" in a Jewish name means "son of (the father's name)" So Barabbas is really Bar (son of) Abbas (father). = Son of God (Abba(s) = Father). Everyone who are saved are the sons of the Father in heaven by adoption through Jesus in His sacrificed for you and me. Anybody else see the similarities besides me?

I was so lucky to visit the Garden Tomb in 2023. I truly felt the presence of Jesus Christ here. Such a peaceful, beautiful and touching place like no other.
This is one of my favorite UA-cam channels. It always brings me peace and joy.
They sealed the tomb with spikes that they hammered right into the rock and when the stone was rolled away, it snapped the spike off and if you go up to the left side of the opening of the tomb and look where the stone was secured, you can see that part of the spike is still there in the wall.
I recently discovered a book called The Resurrection Tomb by E. Raymond Capt and this is the tomb that he believed was where Christ was buried. I'm sure the book, that I'm currently waiting on, will offer some information about the spikes you've mentioned. I had always wondered how they might have sealed the tomb, the use of spikes makes sense. Thank you for this information.

The rolling stone of this garden tomb is at mount Nebo,and Golgotha is near Arimathea ´s garden outside of the old city ,so this place is probably the most true place where our Lord Jesus was layed down ,a wonderfull place also where Ron Wyatt had a meeting with the Spirit of Jesus and under Golgotha there is more to be found see Ron Wyatt videos you tube.

Well, actually, if you realize that Jesus' death was located by Golgotha and the garden tomb, and He was crucified in a location that was exactly over the ark of the covenant, it is important. This would be fulfillment of old testament Passover sacrifice that was required by God for the forgiveness of sins.

The crucifiction site was called Golgatha (Goliath of Gath). It was where David placed the head of Goliath for the birds to pluck the eyes out and eat the flesh from it leaving only a skull. That is why it was known as the place of the skull.
You did not mention the place of the Skull which if I am correct, is a rock formation in a cliff near The Garden Tomb.

I believe this is the tomb of Jesus. I did watch your video on the Church of the Holy Sepulcher but I do not believe that is the place of the crucifixion or burial of Jesus. I was blessed to see both places in 2013.

Oh what I would do to visit where our Heavenly Father walked. Maybe, hopefully someday. *sigh 😢
There was two sabbaths that week according to John. John called it a high sabbath , which was on a Thursday and our Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday and from that true day you get 3 nights and 3 days in the tomb. Jesus rose from the grave after sunset after the second sabbath of that week. Jesus rose on the 7th day of the week. Just like after Creation Jesus rested on the 7th day completing our salvation. God bless. Keep it simple, as if a child can understand.
The crucifixion occurred at Golgotha- the place of the skull-and says the tomb was nearby. Whichever place was nearest to Golgotha is likely the correct tomb. Also, I submit that those translations which state in Luke 24:26-47 the " repentance FOR the forgiveness of sins (salvation!) will be preached to all nations in His name" are the correct ones. This is proven by reading Acts 2: 38 in nearly ANY translation that makes clear that repentance in Jesus' name brings forgiveness of sins. Here's one from the English Standard Version:
“Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins," Nearly all translations make this clear. thus it is THAT which we should be preaching to all the nations. Turn form your sin in the name of the one who had no sin.

They sealed it with that iron spike in the wall right behind you brother. The angel that rolled the stone away didn't bother to pull the spike out of the wall but instead just rolled the stone away and sheared the iron spike. The part that was in the wall is still there, right behind you.
The seal was a steel pin through the stone which was severed when the stone rolled away, study and investigate closer, you walked past the remaining half of the seal, it's right there in the wall, just to the top left of the door, do you see the big arch over the tomb entrance? That is the same size of the stone that was covering the entrance. For more information research Ron Wyatt.

That doesn’t make it the authentic spot.
There’s an overwhelming amount of proof that the trie spot is indeed that of the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, whereas the Garden Tomb does not meet the criteria for several reasons, most notably because the youngest tombs there are from 200 years before the time of Christ , the inscription atop the cross would not have been close enough to read from the passers by inside the city gate from this spot, and finally, the Temple would not have been viewable from the spot for the angle needed to see the veil tear open.
The garden tomb simply is not the correct spot. First century Christians of Jerusalem knew exactly where the spot was because they witnessed it occur. They venerated the site of what’s now the Holy Sepulcher because of this and this continued at this site uninterrupted until Hadrian tried to erase the site by building a pagan temple there, but all that did was preserve everything under it and Christians in Jerusalem still remembered this by the time when Eusebius and Josephus wrote about and when St Helena went to Jerusalem to locate the spot in 320 AD. The truth of what happened there had continued to be passed down during the time after Hadrian built the pagan temple there until St Helena arrived in 320 AD.

the garden tomb is not the Jesus tomb, because she was built in the 7 century before Jesus, wonderful place but not the right place. I have visted the site with an archeologist.

If Christ was crucified on a friday, and arose 3 days later, that would be monday.
He died on a Friday...Day 1....he was dead all day Saturday....day two......he rose from the dead on the THIRD day Sunday.

Sorry, but I think you are confusing the Sabbath with Sunday. He was crucified on a Wednesday as that was the Passover that year. Rising 3 days and 3 nights later on Shabbat or Saturday. Watch the "Jonah Code", by Michael Rood to get up to speed.

This is a very misunderstood issue because we don’t understand the different measures of time between the Hebrew culture and modern times. This is the site. At the place of the skull. You know a treasure map is good if you dig and the treasure is there. All of it fits the scripture, unlike nothing at the site where Helena, mother of Constantine, declared it to give herself glory.

I visited both sites during my trip to Jerusalem and I listened to your presentation of both sites. It is quite obvious and interesting that you seem to (based on all the research you presented) that you lean towards the Church of the Sepraca as the site where Jesus was buried and crucified. This presentation is not and was not presented with all the zeal and custo as the other video…. I do appreciate your honesty in both presentations. Do you still do Holy land visits.
