Liked the way you add bloopers in the end! Keep it up, mate, Expecting to see more amazing pictures from you in 2025! (P.S. Albert Park is my most favorite track)
@@smhca only in the Bizarre European world they are not allowed to make money. In fact this scam was articulated by Berni and Max back in the late 1990s to overcome objection from FIA congress over commercial rights lease in one of the most legally correct corruption case...Berni got away with 99 years lease term as a result of this scam. Guess how much he paid for the 99 years lease? $ 50 million (vs 250 million net profit each year on average, now under liberty F1 is making roughly 500 million a year) FIA is a none profit NGO, but still they need to pay their staff and run their operations. So it is perfectly legal to make money from all events sanctioned by them.
They’re not paying for the licence, they’re paying to fund the organisation that keeps track of driving standards at all levels of motorsport. It seems silly at this level, but the theory is that it’s funding licenses at entry level that don’t cover the actual costs of issuing etc. Now…. Whether or not that is actually the case with the FIA, is a serious matter of debate. But that’s the theory, and it applies to many professions.
Red Bull saved €343K in terms of licence fee by getting rid of Sergio Perez and replacing him with Liam Lawson. However, Red Bull lost a lot more money when they terminated Perez's contract early and having to pay him a substantial amount to leave the team. Red Bull also lost all those sponsors that left with Perez. I felt that Red Bull lost more than they saved/gained.
Carlos will basically have a free license next year when he only scores like 10 points all season. Okay, maybe he’ll get 30 points but you get what I’m saying test unfortunately even s really good driver like Carlos can only do so much with a sub par car.
why such complication? Fia pays team with prizemoney -> teams pay driver license. ->fia got money from driver license. why not a base licens of let say 10K. If the FIA needs an extra 6 000 000. Why not pay less prize money...makes no sense to give some thing and then ask it back...
They don’t have to pay it if they don’t want to race. Why should I pay for an international competition licence and the top tier of motorsport doesn’t? I don’t think so. They can all absolutely afford it without thinking. And as usual, clueless fans always complain about the referees…..

Fia gotta pay for the new yacht somehow
It was very interesting. Thanks for clarifying all the super license topic for us, Kim. Great video
I'm glad you went with my suggestion on multiple covers for your 2024 F1 coffee table book. Cheers
I'm sure we'd all love to know where the money is going to!
I just ordered the Best of book - I LOVE that you gave options for the cover shot, what a great idea! I chose Lewis - that British GP shot is amazing!
5.9 million euros is nothing for the management. 24 races. Just imagine!
Hey Kym!!
I was just wondering if you could make a video of your season predictions. Thank you for providing us with information on the sport we love.
like driver fines i would like to see directly where this 5M euros actually goes!
That thumbnail is crazy. McVerstappen!
Love those bloopers!!
So the FIA added more races to get more money from the F1 Super Licences?
Thanks for keeping me engaged ❤
FIA is a joke
Clearly you don’t understand and too too lazy and unintelligent to bother to. The only joke here is you.
How are they supposed to make money?
@@usemilter2770 They don't.

Stroll never disappoints !!!!
With 5.9M I just hope they are doing better job in the ruling during the race this season

Certainly makes the NZ$500 or so for a licence to compete in WRC look like small change.

Going to order that book now!!
The few thousand that Haas would have to pay Ferrari for Ollies points isnt even worth the time and effort for Ferrari to send Haas an invoice
1m is nothing for a team. 1 good fackup in f1 has a bigger pricetag 😅
Need a tutorial for how to say "good day" like you kym.
Gotta pay for that MBS blow dry. Cant have that much hair volume for free
seems stupid to be taking fees like this, 5m euro is nothing compared to the money the FIA have coming in through other fees

Doesn't the team pay the fee or is it a driver contract item that may or may not exist?
Definition of billionaires boy club. Insane money thrown around.
And yet the FIA doesn't have money to hire few permanent stewards ...
absolute cashgrab and theft on the highway
Its a license that allows them to earn millions
What about reserve drivers?
Base price
so, a progressive tax for "super license"
they are nuts....
im sure they can afford it

Old news
Sounds like communism!!
Not enough for so called "champ" should pay 5x that frankly.
Just more money grubbing.
F1 is so corrupt....
