The closest precedent is Jack "King" Kirby going from Marvel to DC. He was more vital to the structure of the marvel universe than Whedon is to the ciniverse.
I disagree. Kevin Feige is definitely the Marvel glue, but for 3 year - from AVENGERS through the rough treatment of INFINITY WAR (as they mentioned, he basically hand-picked the Russos to replace him), Whedon was given whatever creative control he wanted to take, be it producer, writer, etc. For a movie franchise that's 9 years old, that's more than 1/3rd of the run, and even more if you consider he very likely had input into CIVIL WAR, DOCTOR STRANGE, and INFINITY WAR before he left. Feige may be the Admiral commanding the fleet, but Whedon was the Captain that set the course and got all the ships moving in the right direction.
i'd slow my roll cause whedon was the golden child over at Marvel until Avengers 2 then he left. Long as WB doesn't cramp his creative freedom I can see him helping WB craft their DCEU.
I dont know, I think everything he's done other than Avengers: Buffy The Tv Show, and Dollhouse are garbage. And Serenity and the like are just meh, in my opinion. He has a habit of hiring terribly shitty uncharasmatic female actors because he (apparently) thinks theyre hot. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Eliza Dushku, Summer Glau and Cobie Smulders. All Bad. Cobie isnt terrible, but she cannot carry a movie at all. Its clear shes a TV actor seeing her act with Tom Cruise. Im just really scared he's gonna cast someone insanely shitty as Barbara and wtf buddy, she's like my favorite superhero next to Batman. I know he, hopefully, wouldnt cast any of those people... but still. He sucks at picking female leads. Its just a hot girl who he makes beat up guys. I'd like to see more character than Batgirl just being hot and beating up dudes bigger than her(very unrealistically).
Please, please don't make him walk away from this WB, having Joss Whedon direct a Batgirl movie is nothing short of a stroke of genius. You can't fuck this one up, don't try to put a leash on him, just let him do his thing, _please_.
Mark - Thank you or recognizing Buffy here. The show came on in a time of my life when I needed something, hell, anything, to relate to and that was it. Still is. I've been a fan the entire 20 years and I rewatch the series each winter. Thanks for understanding the series and I hope you do a podcast on just (or mostly about) Buffy. I think, based on just the few moments you just took to describe the series, you could spend a good chunk of time talking, gushing, and informing viewers about the continuing impact of Buffy. Thanks, home skillet!
WB kind of won that week. Justice League Trailer, Joss Whedon announcement...then they broke the internet with the IT trailer. Not to mention sharing the Marvel/DC news of Aaron Sorkin taking meetings with both.
This idiotic war between Marvel fans and DC fans just pisses me off, and I'm pretty sure it's not helping. Justice League is what I'm most excited about, but I also cannot wait to see Michael Keaton in Spider-Man Homecoming, that guy is the best Batman we've ever had, or he was until Ben Affleck. I also look forward to the Tony Stark side of things, the grownup side of things, as opposed to Peter Parker's high school friends and sweethearts and all that. I really don't give a shit about Batgirl and Nightwing, you can't do Justice League and then let the actors grow old before doing their solo movies. And of course they need to do more Man of Steel movies, could they possibly be stupid enough to lose both Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill? I can't believe that.
Knights&Darths fuck the haters bro. They should be happy that they are living in a time where you get more than 6 comic book movies in a year and not 1movie every 3 or 4 years.
"It's good to see you playing well with others again." -Commissioner Gordon I love that some of the Bat family exists. Jason is dead, Dick has been Nightwing for a while, and I imagine Barbara has been Batgirl for either a couple of years or is Oracle and this movie is about her becoming Batgirl again. Hopefully not a full on origin story
We are getting a Batverse as well as a Green Lanternverse as well as a Supermanverse.. Each character will have their own pocket universe that will make up the DCEU. They are literally filling out their Universe.
Cant fucking wait for the Batgirl movie she is my favourite female hero and to find out Joss Whedon is doing it blew my mind Buffy is fantastic im so happy
This was a very important post. I feel like I should say more, but it probably wouldn't do anything. Thank you again for bringing up Iron Fist. I really am interested in hearing Marc's thoughts on the back episodes of the season. Thank you! And thanks for being so awesome.
This is exactly what i'm worried about. I love Batman. But I do not want this to be a Batman universe. I want my Flash movie, I want my Green Lantern reboot movie, I want my Man Of Steel 2 movie... If this becomes a Batman centric universe only, this will quickly annoy fans just like the direct to DVD movies right now. My theory was this... What if the strategy is similar to Marvel? Marvel releases one new character with one established character. Instead of doing it that way, what if they're going to do one Batman "universe" related film with one DC Universe film... If that's the strategy, i'd actually be more ok with that.
On 'Age of Ultron', the studio traded Whedon for a few scenes that Whedon didn't like. This is part of the business. Whedon was exhausted after two Avengers movies because, compared to 'Captain America: Civil War', Whedon was doing the job of 4 or 5 people.
In the end DC own the most popular fictional character of all time, Batman. He sells a shit ton of toys, comics books, Halloween costumes, movie tickets etc. He has by an incredibly wide margin the best rogues gallery in fictional history, the best comic story lines, the best film, the best video game of any superhero character etc.
When I was a kid 30 years ago no one battled over which was better dc or marvel, people were more concerned with artists, writers, individual characters and stories than anything else.
Looks like they're building each character of the batverse that will eventually lead to "Death of the family" as their big finale given the fact that DC is now heavily adopting the aesthetics of the new 52 storylines. It'll be suitable to stick to that kind of a plan which will benefit them in the long run.
I'm very pleased about this. All my favourite superheroes are female, so if we get Batgirl, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and more Harley, (and lighten up the tone in general,) I'll definitely start heading back to the cinema for DC. Plus I think Nightwing is really cool and needs some mainstream exposure. And I'm going to start saving my money for the associated HotToys figures!
Justice League trailer did EXTREMELY well in gaining more views & buzz while everyone complained about Spider-Man trailer giving away far too much. I'd say hat DC stole that week deservedly :/
Just because they are making a Batgirl movie it doesn't mean they have to have her in a wheelchair EVER! The movies dont have to take everything from the comics.
They need to make a DOCTOR FATE movie! He was part of the Batman story too. Warner Bros. needs to wake-up and include him in this cinematic Bat-verse! Dr. Fate was the only non-boring element of the SMALLVILLE television series. That should say something to these executives.
NO SIR I absolutely loved it. I'm not a huge supes fan but man was it good. I'm one of the few who prefer a more "adult" tone not necissarly dark just serious. That movie was awesome, to bad the seriousness looks to be gone with the new movies.
Robert Giampaolo It was the best super man movie I've seen. To be honest I liked all the D.C. Universe movies, similar to Kevin smith I'm just happy to see a live action version of these characters good or bad at least there taking the material serious and not batsman and robin or Adam west hookie
+ Kevin Smith ,I want to give you a big Thank You for mentioning that feeling we all get when cracking open a brand new and exciting comic book story. Daredevil was amazing. For me it was Iron Man : Daemon I'm A Bottle. Those 9 issues were my first must read comic books. Just for my own personal reasons, it was so compelling. I still feel the Iron Man movies missed something by not bringing more of that theme to Tony Stark's story (and of course I was pissed about not getting a real Mandarin). Totally good points about how Marvel and DC movietrailers seem to be trying to one up each other. I'm very hopeful that Marc is correct, that we will get a side universe of Bat characters. Though I wish that more people would feel hyped to get a Joss Wheaon version of Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. Even if the current starting of the DCEU is way too dark, Batgirl can still be fun, colorful, and interesting. Are we becoming a bit jaded by this generation of superheromovies?
Surprised the comparison to Kirby wasn't made about Whedon heading to DC. Not that he was treated unfairly, but it was known that he was told to pack AoU to the gills with stuff that he regretted.
I still wish DC did a cinematic multi-verse like how The Flash and Supergirl are in separate but can crossover. That would have allowed more creative freedom, crossovers and not chain characters and plots to other movies.
Pretty sure Kevin has said that the cast of Flash is grateful when he shows up because he actually knows the source material and appreciates it, so I don't see how it is made by people that respect it when he only does one episode a year
I love Batgirl, and I like what Whedon did with Avengers, so he knows the characters he works with and that might bode well..... But I cant stand that Dollhouse or anything Whedon has done that wasnt Avengers. Everyone likes Serenity and Firefly, but they are not my cup of tea. But Dollhouse and Buffy can go shit and fall back in it. I hope to God that he doesnt have too much control over the casting. Because he will no doubt choose some boring actress because he thinks they're hot or something. I.E. Sarah Michelle Gellar or Eliza Dushku. Both of which are terrible actors. Im not saying he would cast them, but thats the kind of person he casts. Like Cobie Smulders... people love her, but shes terrible as a lead. She worked perfectly how he used her in Avengers, but I know if he had his way... the whole movie would have probably been from her point of view. Also Kevin Smith calls the Spiderman trailer one of the best trailers ever???? Man I usually agree with Kev 100% but then he seems real fickle sometimes. I thought he would be all about Justice League... That Spiderman Trailer, movie looks good, but like people seem to be saying, they showed way too much of that boat scene. Wasnt a special trailer at all. JL's was way better.
The Flash movie is still looking for a director, maybe Kevin should give that a shot. I really liked his Flash episodes, so if I were a WB/DC executive I'd give him the job.
Man, I really hope DC won't just make Batman-related movies. They've got a shitload of good characters and we still haven't got a universally loved Superman movie like we fuckin' deserve
Spider Man was my favorite superhero growing up but during my teen years i swang over to batman, I still love Spidey but i cannot wait to see JL which was the only superhero ensemble that I watched as a kid. I HOPE ITS GREAT
DC has some of the most famous female comic book characters , Batgirl is the 2nd most popular female character, even non comic book fans are aware of Batgirl . I feel WB should definitely do a Batgirl movie and bat-family movie. Bat-verse in the crown jewel of DC.
Don't be so surprised about people working for both Marvel and DC. Lots of comic book writers and artists went back and forth. Even Jack Kirby worked for both.
COMMISSIONER GORDON DIES in Joss Whedon's Batgirl movie. Btw, the breakdown of Buffy is beautiful in this episode -- it kinda reminds me of just how much Whedon was a part of the X-Men universe for a minute between the 90s and 00s. He also wrote a very underrated first-draft of the 2000s' X-Men, so this guy does Avengers and makes it into a billion-dollar MCU franchise, and changes the way Hollywood treats its franchises, and then almost 12 years prior to that he wrote X-Men, arguably one of the most highlighted 'originators' of the superhero renaissance (though I still think it was Sam Raimi's record-breaking sucess with the first Spider-Man). Anyway -- I'm rewatching X-Men Evolution and I keep thinking just how much it feels like Buffy.
I think it would have been interesting if they had gone the route of Batwoman, but Batgirl has been around for 40 years now I can understand going with the senior character.
I think there's still hope of the Marvel/DC crossover we all crave, and that's the Lego Universe. Like, they can have Lego Batman 2 be about the rivalry between the two franchises, and have it be very tongue-in-cheek and goofy and meta and good-spirited, but still deliver Superman battling The Hulk on the silver screen. Heck, they could even get Stan Lee to voice a Lego cameo. I'd pay good money to see that.
was not Joss' big problem at marvel come from having to work in a couple scenes into Ultron that fed the universe as a whole but he didn't like having to be in his movie? I mean I get that, I really do, but it seems that picking him to be a founder in a possible world built on the batman family you are gonna run into the same problem. Don't get me wrong, I think he is a great pick for batgirl, just as he was a great pick to bring together the avengers with his experience in dealing with ensemble casts. (Buffy, Angel, Firefly etc) But after Age of Ultron I thought I heard that after this uproar marvel and Disney created a new studio structure that eliminated the conflicts that Whedon had a problem with to begin with and yet he didn't want to maybe pick a property in marvel's universe and just back off the avengers to maybe do Captian Marvel or something, he just wanted out altogether. How long will it be until the same thing happens at DC considering the reputation that DC has for taking a dump on their creative talents because the studio wants changes.
I sincerely doubt Warner will not make a second Superman movie considering how much money they made with BVS and how big the character's fanbase is. Then, considering Green Lantern, they will make it if Justice League is successfull. Same for Flash, if he's appreciated in the movie, the project will bloom instantly.
I have to agree with Marc here, DC seems to have dropped the DCU as we thought it would be and is moving into a Bat-verse that has Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg exist. They have proven time after time that they only have faith in the Batman. And rightfully so, Batman is the only one DCU seems to be doing right.
They have said more than a few times they are making a man of steel sequel. Most recently that they are in talks with the Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn to direct.
Iron Fist was my second favorite Netflix MCU show after Daredevil. People say that it didn't have enough action, & it was mostly just boardroom scenes. But it had more action than both Jessica Jones & Luke Cage (Although Both Great Shows). If people maybe had one or two criticisms, that would be a fine opinion (Although I Still Might Disagree). But I think people have shit on the show waaay too much. Especially since some of the scenes with Ward we're my absolute favorite as he was my favorite character. & many of those boardroom scenes were Ward scenes. Also this show had a shit ton of political messaging, & I loved that too. Like the plant that was giving people cancer & the company wasn't doing anything to fix the problem, & even going out of their way to make the claim there is no problem. This is similar to the behavior of many companies in the U.S. like freedom Industries, or Koch Industries. Or selling the drugs at price. The show Iron Fist tries to educate people who might not do research on the issues. Healthcare is the big debate in this country right now & the show makes a case how Health Care shouldn't be profitable, because in that case companies are more interested in making a profit than worrying about an individual's health. I like that it wasn't just a mindless popcorn action show, but also had a lot of action. In fact all of the Netflix shows have their specific type of political messaging. Jessica Jones is feminism & women empowerment & the issue of rape. Although it stays on point & makes an good effective message unlike the SJW assholes. Luke Cage is all about race relations & also political corruption. You have the Hillary Clinton type of politician who is essentially super corrupt, but takes advantage of identity politics to get ahead in her career. The show also speaks out about the oppression & discrimination that minorities still face today. Iron Fist speaks out about how corporations have taken over our Government & essentially shape policies that benefit them & screw over the poor middle class. Daredevil essentially speaks on the issue of murder & the death penalty, what is & isn't the way to handle crime & Corruption within a broken system. Daredevil season 2 even brings in The Punisher who is diametrically opposed to Daredevils position giving them a good debate with good points made on both sides... BUT WITH ACTION! :)
I wholly disagree with Marc about the "Batverse" theory. People care too much about the other primary characters for them to be forgotten. Just because Marc doesn't like these characters doesn't mean a large number of viewers agree with him.
The thing with Iron Fist is that, it might have been made with a "Poochie clause" in mind ... like "When Danny Rand is not on screen, all other characters should be asking 'Where is Danny?'."
Sorry Marc but I don't think they are going to drop all the other characters in favor of just having a Batverse.I really hope they don't because it would be stupid.
David Boreanaz, late of Bones, has already been picked up to replace Jim Caviezel, late of Person of Interest, in CBS's new Navy Seals TV show. So he is busy again.
If they're making a Batverse, a Batgirl movie would be the perfect way to segue into a Birds of Prey movie too. Joss Whedon, Birds of Prey, get Gail Simone in to help write the script and now we've got a stew!
I want to see a Joker movie where the whole movie is him setting up his big crime. Batman shows up at the end and puts him back in Arkham, but throughout the movie you see him have to deal with the likes of Anarky (Anarky just wants complete chaos whereas Joker wants controlled chaos), Penguin (Getting in Joker's way because of his need for control of Gotham), Harley Quinn, maybe a few other villains.
Leave it to Mark to point at marvel and say, "your not doing it right". So they dont have have any movies featuring a female. Black widow has never been a solo character she has always been a catalyst and Scarlet Witch hasnt got her legs under her yet. I bet he liked Ghostbusters 2016
Batgirl, Nightwing can all lead into telling the Jason Todd "Robin" and Joker story with Batman, adding all the villains and their stories to the Justice League pot to mix with Suicide Squad 2 and give bones and flesh into the DCMU. We get more Gordon, we get more Joker and Harley etc without having their own movie. I see a lot of possibility and it looks good to me
They tried the whole make batman the core of the DCverse in the new 52 and it worked in a lot of ways. However the issue I have always had with batman is he tends to darken the universe and it affected other heroes. Big Example is Superman and they had to do a whole rebirth event to essentially bring back hope into the DCverse. I loved the start of the new 52 and I read it all but I gave up eventually and now with rebirth I feel that same excitement again. Not only does it have both light and dark it has epic stories that push the stories slowly forward. This is what DC movies need to do, don't rush to catch up to Marvel, just do your thing and do what you are best at and it will succeed.
I'd say without a shadow of a doubt that Nightwing, Batgirl, and Gotham City Sirens are the first ones to disappear. Every bit of those felt like a means of making a headline, not a movie. Flash will happen most of all, because there is just too much going for that. Flash is their next big, reliable character, and they've got the beloved Ezra Miller to star. He's going to be the breakout star of Justice League, he and Aquaman. Cyborg is the only leaguer I'd believe would get his movie plug pulled, mostly because he doesn't have much foundation for solo stories.
Would kind of prefer the Cassandra Cain character as I think her arc is more interesting. A struggle with a flawed competent character seems more interesting to me. It would also I think tie in with Bruce being older and be a good juxtaposition to mirror Stark/Parker in the MCU.
I'd love a Batverse but expanding on it and seeing other characters would be great and keeps things different and interesting. I think all the Marvel movies are pretty much the same so if DC had a variety of characters not all Batman related and have different tones to accommodate the characters they could really be great.
There is no one in the earth who wants movies with batfamily characters more than me, but I still want dc to make a good flash movie , aquaman, green arrow e.t.c. .Give me a Teen Titans movie and there is nothing else to see in this life
Please, lmao, the spiderman trailer was nothing compared to the Justice League trailer and didn't cause half as much excitement. Justice League was trending for well over a day.
they should have slid in a Widow/Hawkeye movie as a duo to explain their BUDAPEST references, could have been a dope spy duo movie being overseen by fury.. but Now a solo Widow movie would be pointless due to the epic scale of Infinity war or the galactic/ dimensional dirrection they are gonna start going in
This is the smartest move by Marvel! Bad DC movies hurt the overall interest and brand in all Superhero movies. Look how Superman 4 , Batman and Robin, Fantastic four, Daredevil (sorry Kevin) Electra, X-men 3 etc almost killed it for everyone. If Josh can revitalize DC that is good for all. To your earlier point of competition bring back the 90's baby! The fans win, the Studios win, everyone wins!
Guys please help. Someone online expressed an opinion about a comic book show that is completely opposite of mine! What should I do??? I tried cursing at them and I even tried explaining why they are wrong but it doesn't seem to help.
See here's the thing with Joss Whedon doing Batgirl. It's most likely a knee jerk reaction because Joss really wanted to do his Black Widow movie and Marvel said no. He still wants to direct that movie, but this allows him to direct a solo female movie. So let him do it. I wish we had a Black Widow movie, but that time has past. She should have had hers in the first phase. Now if she did have one it'll have to be a Black Widow & Hawkeye movie.
You don't need to go as recent as 'Iron Fist' for Marvel missteps. 'Iron Man 2,3', 'Thor 2', 'Avengers: Coffee Break of Ultron', 'Iron Man Reboot (aka Ant-Man)', 'Agent Carter', the last seven episodes of 'Luke Cage', (than which 'Iron Fist' is easily better) etc...
The closest precedent is Jack "King" Kirby going from Marvel to DC. He was more vital to the structure of the marvel universe than Whedon is to the ciniverse.

Batgirl will be great! Mark is so right about the Bat-verse and taking control away from Snyder
As long as Whedon realises that the DCEU is a different beast to the MCU and respects that and makes it accordingly, this should be decent.
Hype as fuck for Batgirl. No choice now Wheddon is involved, its by default guaranteed among best DC movies ever.
i'd slow my roll cause whedon was the golden child over at Marvel until Avengers 2 then he left. Long as WB doesn't cramp his creative freedom I can see him helping WB craft their DCEU.
Whedon wanted screw over Marvel with Avengers 2 the same way Raimi did with Spider-man 3.

What if Joss Whedon does what he began with marvel and helps build the dceu going forward? He's what they need at this point.
provided WB doesn't get too involved and diminishes his freedom in regards to films and he and Geoff see eye to eye on this...why not?
LOL he's not gonna do it with Batgirl.
Maybe if they got him for JLA or something.

Just started watching your vids and never realized how much of a gold mine i have been missing! Love it! Subscribed and ready!
The best thing DC can do is write Whedon a check and leave him the FUCK alone until he presents his movie.
Marvel and DC could have a crossover movie if it was Lego!
As always many thanks and love from Windsor, ON!

Can u react to injustice 2 Good To Be Bad trailer Kevin or mark or give your thoughts on what u think of the game
I'm more interested in hearing their reactions to The Mummy reboot.
As for a Whedon Batgirl? Sure, send him back to tv. Could be fun.
I don't think either of them are gamers, so I don't think they would have much to say
Marc plays some games. He tweeted recently about finishing Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Great Video for MARC n KEVIN.
Loved Marcs VIEW

P.S. Marc Bernardin needs to write that Green Lantern buddy cop movie, so Kevin can direct it.
Surprised the comparison to Kirby wasn't made about Whedon heading to DC. Not that he was treated unfairly, but it was known that he was told to pack AoU to the gills with stuff that he regretted.
Batgirl is getting a movie... not a tv movie but an actual feature film...?
I'm still cleaning up bits of my brains days later!
It's like watching two powerful wizards talking and swirling the magic of the multiverse.
I still wish DC did a cinematic multi-verse like how The Flash and Supergirl are in separate but can crossover. That would have allowed more creative freedom, crossovers and not chain characters and plots to other movies.
I'm so excited if this actually happens and WB doesn't fuck this up.
Joss Whedon is the Jack Kirby of the cinematic comic world
I love in the first five minutes there being both an LA Law and an Edmonton Oilers reference
Pretty sure Kevin has said that the cast of Flash is grateful when he shows up because he actually knows the source material and appreciates it, so I don't see how it is made by people that respect it when he only does one episode a year
The mention of Killing Joke just puts a haunting recollection of that weird scene of Bruce performing coitus with Barbara...0_0
Edgar Wright directing Sandman
The Flash movie is still looking for a director, maybe Kevin should give that a shot. I really liked his Flash episodes, so if I were a WB/DC executive I'd give him the job.
Man, I really hope DC won't just make Batman-related movies. They've got a shitload of good characters and we still haven't got a universally loved Superman movie like we fuckin' deserve
Spider Man was my favorite superhero growing up but during my teen years i swang over to batman, I still love Spidey but i cannot wait to see JL which was the only superhero ensemble that I watched as a kid. I HOPE ITS GREAT
this is gonna be awesome can't remember the last time I got this excited for a movie that won't be out for at least 2 years
I know it's tv but Marvel does have Jessica Jones as a female lead in the MCU. So you can't really say they only have Captain Marvel.
DC has some of the most famous female comic book characters , Batgirl is the 2nd most popular female character, even non comic book fans are aware of Batgirl . I feel WB should definitely do a Batgirl movie and bat-family movie. Bat-verse in the crown jewel of DC.
I'd give Kevin Smith $25M to make a Question film from a Marc Bernardin script - Grendel for the villain.
They're making 1 universe with the pre BvS being WW, all Batman and post BvS being the Justice League.
Imagine a world where DC lets Kevin Smith Direct and Cast an arrow movie. Imagine your agent gets in touch with Warner and makes that happen.
was not Joss' big problem at marvel come from having to work in a couple scenes into Ultron that fed the universe as a whole but he didn't like having to be in his movie?
Is Marc working on the Valiant universe TV show(s)?
I wholly disagree with Marc about the "Batverse" theory. People care too much about the other primary characters for them to be forgotten. Just because Marc doesn't like these characters doesn't mean a large number of viewers agree with him.
Stan Lee did go to DC and wrote different origin stories for most of the Justice League members For around 3 years
The thing with Iron Fist is that, it might have been made with a "Poochie clause" in mind ... like "When Danny Rand is not on screen, all other characters should be asking 'Where is Danny?'."
Kevin? Got any more info on the Runaways (Comic) TV series that is going to air on hulu?
When will a studio let Whedon make a live action Fray?
Sorry Marc but I don't think they are going to drop all the other characters in favor of just having a Batverse.I really hope they don't because it would be stupid.
Marc read the Geoff Johns green lantern run. Then you'll want the lantern movie
I would want to see a Hawkeye and black widow movie where we see what happened in Budapest
Batman shows up at the end and puts him back in Arkham, but throughout the movie you see him have to deal with the likes of Anarky (Anarky just wants complete chaos whereas Joker wants controlled chaos), Penguin (Getting in Joker's way because of his need for control of Gotham), Harley Quinn, maybe a few other villains.
this is how i felt about J.J doing 2 Star Trek movies and then making Episode 7
Justice League on twitter trended #1 worldwide for 7 hours spiderman only trended #2 for about 3 don't know about Facebook though
I see a lot of possibility and it looks good to me
5:40 it's spiderman homecoming not the amizing spiderman
Jay was a big Buffy fan Kevin said in a book and Jay was a fan and that's why they casted faith in the jay and silent Bob movie.
I think Kevin's fav word must be 'fuck'
I'd love a Batverse but expanding on it and seeing other characters would be great and keeps things different and interesting. I think all the Marvel movies are pretty much the same so if DC had a variety of characters not all Batman related and have different tones to accommodate the characters they could really be great.
There is no one in the earth who wants movies with batfamily characters more than me, but I still want dc to make a good flash movie , aquaman, green arrow e.t.c. .Give me a Teen Titans movie and there is nothing else to see in this life
How did you guys leave out Firefly?
Please, lmao, the spiderman trailer was nothing compared to the Justice League trailer and didn't cause half as much excitement. Justice League was trending for well over a day.
I'm gonna take "Joss Whedon directing Batgirl" and I'm gonna put it over there, in the same pile as "Ben Affleck directing Batman".
they should have slid in a Widow/Hawkeye movie as a duo to explain their BUDAPEST references, could have been a dope spy duo movie being overseen by fury.. but Now a solo Widow movie would be pointless due to the epic scale of Infinity war or the galactic/ dimensional dirrection they are gonna start going in
I love Joss Whedon, id watch anything he makes, i just hope hes not burnt out, he sounded like it after Avengers 2.
David Boreanaz said he will not participate in Buffy reunion at all. So no anniversary movie here.
Marvel fucked up on letting Joss go and not giving him the solo BW movie he and so many fans wanted....way to go.
Or The Watcher and The Phantom Stranger? Instead of The Spectre?!
Guys please help. Someone online expressed an opinion about a comic book show that is completely opposite of mine! What should I do??? I tried cursing at them and I even tried explaining why they are wrong but it doesn't seem to help.
7:21 I had that feeling when I saw the first Avengers movie
I actually really want more than a Batverse. I'm a fan of the whole DC Universe not just Gotham. Give me Cyborg and Green Lanterns
No worries Kev, your northern buds got the Oilers reference! You following them this year???
You don't need to go as recent as 'Iron Fist' for Marvel missteps. 'Iron Man 2,3', 'Thor 2', 'Avengers: Coffee Break of Ultron', 'Iron Man Reboot (aka Ant-Man)', 'Agent Carter', the last seven episodes of 'Luke Cage', (than which 'Iron Fist' is easily better) etc...
