16:08 As odd as it sounds, DC would be found more at fault here. Law states you have to give way to oncoming traffic, doesn’t factor in if the car runs an early red or not.
No!! Not in Australia… The black hatchback ran a solid red light therefore they’ll be found responsible… Even if it was a yellow light and they ran it after having plenty of time to stop safely… Here in Australia running a yellow light is exactly the same as running a red light… The hatchback’s insurance will be replacing the cameras vehicle but not their own vehicle since they illegally ran the red light…
@@MFFMPNDepends on what level of insurance cover each driver has. If comprehensive your car is fixed even if the at fault driver. 10:25 was avoidable. DC driver should have stopped in time. When backing out of carparks and you can't see (like if there is a big 4WD parked next to you) you need to back out really slowly until you can see so anyone coming along can stop in time.
@@traj7196 Yes. DC driver should have seen the reverse lights and he had enough time to stop. In a carpark (especially underground car parks) you need to pay attention to reverse lights. That's why cars have them. It alerts other drivers that a vehicle is reversing. I should clarify reversing slowly in this context. In a carpark where your vision of other cars is blocked you need to reverse slow a little then stop and wait for a few seconds. Then repeat until you can see unrestricted. This allows other drivers ample time to stop if needed.
That first clip was either staged by both drivers or the other driver was deliberately driving like crap hoping to get caught on camera. They had turned around by 0:50 but then decided to keep going back and forth

The drivers that just turn in to traffic, assuming they will be given way is amazing. Zero awareness. It's happening so much on the roads now.
Four wheel drives are for the kids who failed to stay inside the lines when colouring in.
@jbmhr - yep those owners seem to drive like that, especially Land Bruiser Drivers
My Grandson was born late last year, he graduated while I watched the first offering in this vid. 🤦🏻
I like how you mirrored the weakness of her driving ability with the weakness of your joke..
10:29 anyone who drives in a car park and isn't covering the brake pedal is just asking for trouble. Every second vehicle is an SUV or larger and as is the case here the reversing car is totally blind. Short of having someone available as a spotter no option other than to reverse. The cammer had sufficient vision on the reversing car to stop but either through ignorance or inattention chose instead to have his car run into. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Yep, saw that thinking there is no chance any people trying to inch out those spots with so many SUVs and vans around will see approaching cars until poking out sufficiently, so the DC should have been expecting a reverser like this rather than treating it like the main straight at LeMans.
@@TonyHamlyn G'day, yep have an i30 and at every opportunity I reverse into the car park however when grocery shopping no alternative other than front in parking to have access to the boot area. And hardly an occasion goes by where I am not next to a large vehicle on at least one side - and stress levels up exiting!
0.00- 1.25 And here is my Daughter being failed in her L's test for minor indiscretions like not indicating earlier and you see this first submission with someone like this driving on the road. WTF??
You use colons : not dots . in time stamps.
You mean her Probationary test? Plus that means its good she failed as now you can show her the evidence of what could happen if you haven't learned how to drive properly, such as the drivers on these vids.
*0:00 - 1:25.
Geez noticing dots not colons. You must be the life of a party. Oh and I should mention it’s Video not Vids.
@@jamo5468 It's not to be a grammar nazi lol. It's because if you have the colon, you can just click the timestamp. You know, so you don't have to go and scrub to the exact timestamp...
@@jamo5468 Plus, if you place a dot after a word, such as Subs. or Vids. or Etc. Then that's perfectly acceptable.
14:48 My driving instructor must have been crap. Definitely didn't teach me to change lanes with indicator, fog lights, turn.
16:08 i can deduce from this clip that blind freddie was not driving the cam car....because he would have seen that coming....
The black hatchback ran the red light!! The camera done nothing wrong…
16:10 actually curious if both parties are found at fault here. Obviously black car ran the red but it was still late orange when cammer started turning and you have to wait until the intersection is clear and it is safe to turn before doing so.
5:45 my dumbass thinking the wire was going to fall off💀
Same.
Yep
Reinforcement mesh, not wire.
@@hayloft3834 technically correct. But it’s made out of wire so it’s not totally wrong. :) either way I’m glad the load was secured 🤣

Definitely, but we've seen worse drivers on this and other dashcam channels.🤣

1:14 awesome for the video at the start. So much patience and happy to wait something I need to learn
The amount of people that walk behind reversing cars in Melbourne is incredible.
Especially when it's in a disabled park.......

That first one is painful.
7:37 What power pole? Really jumped outta nowhere on him huh.
Row drools? Never heard of 'em!
16:08 As odd as it sounds, DC would be found more at fault here. Law states you have to give way to oncoming traffic, doesn’t factor in if the car runs an early red or not.
It was blatantly obvious the oncoming car wasnt going to stop.
@@ReddThreee Apparently, not to DC driver.🤣
If both drivers have comprehensive insurance a possible outcome is both could be found to be at fault & each has to pay the excess. The only car that will definitely get fixed without hassle is the one at the stop light on the side road. Their claim will be on the cammer’s insurance.
@@MFFMPN What is the source of your information?
The Road Rules do not exempt you even if the oncoming traffic is doing something illegal.
9:30 You couldn't make a mistake that bad if you tried. Unbelievable.
There's a lot of mental health issues on the road now it's very scary to drive
10:25 was avoidable. DC driver should have stopped in time. When backing out of carparks and you can't see (like if there is a big 4WD parked next to you) you need to back out really slowly until you can see so anyone coming along can stop in time.
Are you saying the cam driver should have stopped, with about 5 metres possible notice, because the other driver needed to be slower?
@@traj7196 Yes. DC driver should have seen the reverse lights and he had enough time to stop. In a carpark (especially underground car parks) you need to pay attention to reverse lights. That's why cars have them. It alerts other drivers that a vehicle is reversing. I should clarify reversing slowly in this context. In a carpark where your vision of other cars is blocked you need to reverse slow a little then stop and wait for a few seconds. Then repeat until you can see unrestricted. This allows other drivers ample time to stop if needed.

10:40 Im pretty sure Cantebury hospital is next to this intersection for a good reason.
That first clip was either staged by both drivers or the other driver was deliberately driving like crap hoping to get caught on camera. They had turned around by 0:50 but then decided to keep going back and forth
Not staged, that driver is just shitty at turning.
16:08 You’re assuming that everyone will stop on a yellow. That’s not a good habit and the crash was the exact reason why it’s not a good idea.
@ 13:40. Ah yes, another one of the 'I have signalled therefore you have to let me in' types. Must be nice to be so... superior to others.
And by the time they signalled the other car was already nearly next to them and likely checking the mirror for that bike. Sometimes you get stuck and you just have to suck it up and wait.
