I never used before but I love the black mist filter effect! Thank you Laura! ❤

I shoot cars. And always use Cpl. And also make videos and use Black Mıst Pro on them. I wanted to purchase Nisi kit. But it is way too expensive:( And love your videos. Experiencing the same troubles growing on UA-cam as a woman creator. Hugs from İstanbul ❤️🎥
I love how educative this is, Laura always shows very useful and affordable equipment you can tell she's genuinely sharing content that matters, not just selling products for her sponsors.
OMG Laura! I LOVE this video! So nice to see you working behind the scenes and the photos are incredible! That mist filter is super cool. Thank you for another awesome video. You inspire me so much. ❤
Awww thank you so much Sara! I really appreciate it! 😍 So nice to know that my videos inspire you. The mist filter is super nice right? It changes the vibe of the image a lot. Love it! Big hug! 🥰
Hi, Laura! This video was so informative. Thanks for not assuming all viewers know what NF Filters are for 😊 Also the b-roll imagery was super great and really added visual interest to support what you were talking about. Yet another smile on my face after watching your channel. ❤
Awww thank you so much Gerald! 😍 So nice to know that you liked the video. I enjoyed a lot recording it and a very talented friend helped me record the behind the scenes of the photoshoot. 😍 So happy to know that you enjoy my videos. Thank you so much! 🥰❤️
As mainly a landscape lover I don't want to leave the house without circular polarizers anymore. I used a pro mist filter on my most recent video and I like the soft smooth effect it gives
When I've heared there is a black mist filter I was absolutely sure that it has to be your favorite one even before you told that in this video 😅 I know and live your photos so this filter is so so so fit to you and your style 😊 have a nice day Laura and thank you for being here 😘
Ada! 😍 So nice you say that. You were so right about my favourite filter! 🥰 I absolutely love it! Have a wonderful week and thank YOU for being here! ❤️😘
I’ll definitely be looking at the NISI set. I currently use PolarPro VND and Black Mist. True colours would be great to work with without having to compensate all the time. Awesome video! Thanks Laura!
Thank you! Yes, the comparison is incredible. It’s very visible the difference on the colours. It’s nice not having to fix the colours that much in post. Glad you like it! 😊
Great video… I have not used lens filters for my portrait photography. It is an awesome suggestion. It will help with less post editing… saving more time. You always provide great tips and suggestions. You 🤘!
Thank you so much Wise! Lens filters are a great tool to improve the images and get certain looks straight from camera. I love this kit and particularly the black mist filter! 😍❤️ I’m glad you enjoyed it! 🥰🙏🏼
I live open spaces and landscapes! My tools of the trade have been Nikon prime lenses. My favorite lens is a Nikon 20mm f/2.8 D with a Nikon Wide Angle 62mm Circular Polarizer. I sometimes use a Galen Rowell GND 3 Stop Soft Edge. I recently bought a Nikon 14mm f/2.8 D with Fotodiox Wonderpana filter holder.
Me encantó lo objetiva que fue tu opinion al decidir recomendar o no los filtros. En otros videos que he visto (y han sido demasiados estas últimas semana) me hacen sentir que sin ellos no puedo hacer buenas fotografías. En especial siendo principiante. Muchas gracias!!
You’re welcome! 🥰 I’m just learning the bass guitar at the moments but love it! Hopefully improving slowly slowly. You can see me playing it a little bit in the intro of this video: ua-cam.com/video/730M6wA8-a0/v-deo.html 😅 And thanks a lot! I’m glad you enjoy my content! :)
Yes Jon! 😍 A CPL is so so useful. And a variable way more convenient and comfortable. I used to have the Canon M50! 🥰 And looking forward to trying vintage lenses!
Yeah I never recommend cheap VNDs because we end up spending more money. Cheap VNDs are normally quite bad. Better to invest on good ones as then you have them for life. 😍
Nisi True Colour VND is great all in one ND filter but What I noticed is this Black mist filter is completely washing out the contrast & colours I strongly recommend to use Tiffen Glimmerglass 1 instead of this with the Nisi VND it creates magic on the image by keeping black levels & not completely washing contrast and keep the colours perfectly.
great lens indeed pricy but worth it if your getting into photography in a serious way ive a set of square filters from a well known brand that possibly every photographer has tried as a introduction to filters I had a hour to myself and went down to a old ruin church to blow the cobweds off them omg the colourcast is unforgiving !
Laura! Descubrí tu canal hace unas semanas. Me encanta! Yo soy baterista profesional, pero me encanta la foto. Espero algún día poder hacerlo profesionalmente también. Tus videos me han servido muchísimo. Un abrazo desde México.
Hola Moni! Muchísimas gracias! 😍 Que bien que seas baterista! Me encanta! Yo estoy aprendiendo a tocar el bajo. 🥰 Me alegro un montón de que te gusten mis video! Un abrazo gigante a Mexico desde Londres! :)
If I shoot very fast, does it affect the colour or quality of the foto? Or, is just to cut of the motion blur in my picture and everything else stays the same? I understand that shoot fast will cause less light to enter the sensor, but not sure if there are more underlying factors I should consider. 🙈
Thank u very much for tips ma'am. I'm your new subscriber and IG follower. I've been watching you since July. I got a question, may be it's very silly question but just for curiosity. Why still you use dslr ma'am ?
You’re very welcome Neil! Glad you liked the video and the tips! 😍 This dslr is the 5D MKIV, one of the best cameras from Canon. I love it and the quality is incredible. I’m not gonna buy a mirrorless if I don’t need a new camera just yet. This camera is my beast of choice. 😄❤️ Thanks for watching Neil! 😍

From your video I ordered the ND8 FILTER from RealPro. It's really cool! Thank you for your detailed information you provide, Just a question and I don't know if anyone asked about it or you had a video already made about it... I work on my photos in Post Editing, when I save/export the photo from Lightroom or Photoshop it comes way different than what I wanted it in the lightroom/photoshop, the colors are more Vibrant which kills the photo... is my monitor the problem or the software ... and yeah it looks different also on the smartphones... any suggestions please and thank you!
Hi! You’re very welcome! I’m glad the video helped! 😊 Regarding the problem you have, I’m not sure what’s going on. I don’t think is the software as I never had any problem. Which settings do you have in Lightroom when exporting to Photoshop? Which colour profile? It may be that.
@@LauraBC I'm glad you replied, I really don't want to take much of your time, I shoot in RAW, I post edit first on Lightroom, then I export that photoshop to take something out of the photo or anything else, then I export the photo to JPEG as the final move. the colour profile is sRGB.
Do you use lens filters? I enjoyed so much this photoshoot and the cinematic vibe! Looking forward to sharing more photos of this day! 😍

Thank you so much Rob! 😍 A very talented friend helped me record the behind the scenes while I was shooting. Love it! I’m glad you liked it too! 🥰

Thanks for posting this. Black Mist filters are a decades long favorite (pre digital even) of Cinematographers around the world.

Oh my it’s been so long the last time is saw someone lay down to take a photo 😮😮😮😮. Laura bringing back the good old days 😅. The colours look great

Love the video, great information, thank you. What brand of black mist filter do you use?
Hi Roger! Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. 😊 The brand is the same as I’m reviewing, Nisi. 😍

Could you please make a video of what Video Settings you make on your Camera for all your UA-cam Videos and how do you light it? Thank you.

can we also screw the Nisi Cpl on top of the VND?
Can it be used only with the blackmist filter? I would like to use it indoors and at night when ndfilter is not used.
Do Nisi optics ship to the US? I would love to get them one day if they do
Hi Brian! Yes they do. They have different kits as well. But I particularly love this one because of the mist filter. 🥰
Why ND for portrait photography?

Lenses with thread filter below 67mm are often forgotten!!

And it's great filter only $130 in India way cheaper than US
