Thank you I’ll probably cover them at some point but the current series I’m trying to build a picture of Britannia before the Romans arrived. Though I have considered covering the petty kingdoms of the dark ages as they are fascinating but sometimes reliable information can be hard to get but do find kingdoms like Mercia interesting
That said there was a recent hypothesis I came across by a historian who’s name I can’t remember but Francis Pryor was interviewing him. He put forward the idea that the Saxon shore forts were not built to just defend against the Saxons but to trade with them. I think it was on Britain AD or timeline? I also read something similar on academic.com
