The zip tie bracelet is even worse since you can over tighten it super easily and not be able to undo it

I was on debate team in high school. My mom was really poor, so I didn't have a suit, but I did have a nice, comfortable pair of shoes, grey corduroy slacks, a grey blazer, and a simple, purple blouse. I was very careful to ensure that everything fit the dress code and had no issues until, at one of the debates, I didn't win a single one of my arguments. That was REALLY unusual, because I was usually well-prepared and pretty quick-witted. Sure, I didn't win every debate, but I usually came out about 50/50. So, afterward, I walked up to one of the judges and asked her what I was doing wrong and if she had any advice. This absolute see-you-next-tuesday looks me up and down like she's disgusted by even being within 10 feet of me and says "Your arguments were fine, but you need to work on looking more..professional." "What do you mean? I fit the dress code, don't I?" "Well, yes, but you don't LOOK professional." "Ma'am, this is what I can afford." "Well, then maybe think about trying a different extracurricular." Y'all I walked out of that room FUMING. I had never wanted to deck a full-grown lady more in my whole life. After that meet, I stopped trying. I stayed on the team, because they needed me for diversity requirements and there were only a few competitions left. But, I dropped out of all but the Congressional Debate and pretty much only spoke when I had to.

Holy moly, I clicked on this and thought it was 30 minutes old, not 30 seconds

As an asexual, I've been told repeatedly I'm not lgbt

On the burger thing: that's called food tampering and is ILLEGAL. If/When that person finds out her food had been tampered with, she has every right to sue.

I'm with you Robin. I'm asexual and am continually told I'm not part of the LGBTA+ community.

A lot of employers are clueless about how their employees live. I worked in an office where I was the lowest paid employee because I didn't have a family, so the logic was I didn't need the money. Then, at Christmas, money was taken out of everyone's check, not asked if they could, to buy the boss Christmas gifts. Meantime we were told there was no bonus, and our holiday party was in the machine shop, and were Subway sandwiches. Then we were forced to stand there and watch the boss open his gifts. One of the many reasons I finally quit.

I looked up Marcel Lebrun, he didn't only make 99 houses for homelessness; He created an organization for building housing for homelessness.

Fun Fact: Echo first appeared in her current state in Marvel comics way back in 1998! That's over 25 years ago! People who complain about "wokeness" in media are not complaining about it "being shoved in their face", they are complaining that things are being made for people who aren't exactly like them. As a male, I absolutely understand and appreciate the growth of female characters in comics. As a Hispanic, I appreciate the inclusion of Native American cultures into media. As a person who suffers from hearing loss, I appreciate the acknowledgement of deaf culture on hearing media. While there is not much scientific evidence that any of these cultures really make humans that different from one another besides socially, there is even less evidence for sticking our heads in the sand and pretending they don't exist.

Not a single person likes having third/fourth wheels showing up unannounced on a date unless agreed upon beforehand.

How to counter "Did I ask" or "Didn't ask":

  • @amphigorian

FYI Robin: type II diabetes isn’t always about weight either. My friend who was just diagnosed literally runs marathons every month. I was a teenager when I was diagnosed. I’m the smallest person and until a couple years ago the only diabetic in my immediate family. Besides, even for people whose weight is part of their contributing factors, just losing weight doesn’t usually reverse the issue. It’s kind of a problem how much people are willing to dismiss the needs of Type IIs on the idea that they just “did it to themselves” or could just “lose weight.” That attitude prevents a lot of diabetics of all sizes and types (incl gestational) from getting the care they need.

I told my mother once a long time ago: "I could easily make tons of money if I had no morals. There are idiots out there who will buy zip ties as braclets, I'm sure of it."

  • @Fortified-Star-Margarine

There is no way that colored zip ties can cost up to $900💀

The ziptie bracelet is proof that people will buy anything if its at a ridiculously high price and has a brand name on it. this is what im gonna start calling a "Bragger's Trap"
