Today We'll be playing Skyrim but as just a regular ordinary guy, with no powers or combat abilities and we're going to try and make 1 million gold!
Wait a minute. This isn't 19 hours of chopping wood!
LMAOO. Posting that would’ve been an insane choice
@@EldianDevilPlays i actually thought the same thing. "Every amount of money is possible with just chopping wood"
@@RayAkuma fun fact. I started streaming this run and realized 10 hours of chopping wood is not that fun to watch. That’s what he’s referring to LOL

I did notice that life in skyrim is pretty sweet. Chopping wood for like 2 ingame hours gets you a room in the inn and all the food you need. No idea why there are baggers...
Yeah it actually makes no sense. Or they could just pick flowers outside of the hold and be set for a few days
@@duplicarus There's an orphan doing this in Windhelm. Her only problem is that she's trying to sell it on the street to random people rather than selling it to the local alchemist. 18:05 It's not just in your head! Some of the items vendors sell are actual, physical items in the world nearby. If you purchase them, they won't reappear in the vendor's inventory until the cell resets (usually 10 days since your last visit). That means if you just wait 48 hours at one vendor, you'll only get the items that respawn in their chest inventory. Alchemists have a pretty significant number of ingredients on display, so it's especially noticeable with them.
Oh that’s really awesome to know. Thank you for confirming it and for watching :)
You can also give 1 gold to a beggar to get another speechcraft buff

Madesi doesn’t get sent to prison at the start of the thieves guild quest line, Brand-Shei does
First Ethical Millionaire - Hires bodyguards to kill his enemies, dabbles into alchemy to turn iron into gold, sells chemical weapons to merchants. Seems pretty realistic to be honest.
RIP the Drunken Huntsman
ikr
Medesi in riften never goes to prison for the Theives guild quest , thats Brand- shay who you frame.
What an interesting idea to play Skyrim. And presented in a way without it seem boring. Kuddos to you for avoiding not only Goldenhills Plantation (my normally go-to) but for a long time you also didn't pick up the Amulet of Zenithar close to Riften entrance nor his blessing, nor did you join the Thieves Guild to pick up the Thief Hood.
If you were interested, every town did offer NPCs with small jobs that required Speech checks. If you've planned things the right way you could go to Solitude, get the Blessing of Dibella from the temple and rent a room at an inn for the well-rested bonus. Then give a coin to a beggar and your Speech is temporarily boosted by around 30 points. The benefit of that is that every XP you'll get from Speech checks is based on the boosted Speech level, and not your actual level, so you make more leveling by doing it this way. I play on Survival Mode exclusively, so I have to plan everything since getting blessings from shrines costs 100 gold, unless I own said shrine myself.
The reason you may want to try this is to get to the illusive level 50 Speech which means Merchant perk. You can do this with no looting required quest involved at all.
I love all these tips! Insanely good min-maxing. I didn’t think of like 90% of the things you mentioned. I did give a coin to the beggar in riften every chance I got I just forgot to put it in the video lol

There is actually a Steam guide to smithing for profit. As you learned, it's not possible to buy materials and sell finished goods at a net profit early on due to the high ratio between buying and selling prices (initially nearly a ratio of 10). Instead, the guide recommends getting your own pelts and iron ore. If playing as a non-hunter, it's possible to buy hides (I recommend cow hide, it's the cheapest per-leather option) while doing honest work mining iron around Skyrim. You can mine iron in Left Hand Mine outside Markarth, Stonehills, Dawnstar, Whistling Mine south of Winterhold, and Shor's Stone (only with Unofficial Patch).
Alternatively (if followers/pets to handle combat on the road is Unethical, or if taking ore from the owned mines for personal use is Unethical), chop firewood and pay for Smithing training, I guess. Eventually, your Speech and Smithing will be high enough to start buying materials and selling armor for profit. Or as a final alternative, there are still a few iron ore veins accessible in non-combat areas around the carriage cities.
This is awesome! I really wish I gave smithing more of a shot in this play through!
Skyrim has become the largest exporter of potions of paralysis, other provinces are dumbfounded
It hurt my fucking SOUL to see you hire Sven over ANY of the tavern mercs. Stenvar is great. So is Janessa.

The moment he started talking about the halted stream camp I knew
Alteration:
double cast (no dual cast perk) candlelight 3-4 times, then get apprentice perk and spam to lvl 100 while resting 1h for mp regen (unless 100% alteration cost gear or enough mp regen gear, i have 50% neck and 100% ring from merchands and only need to pause 1-2 sec per double cast on empty mana), save lvl up to insta refresh mana.
Location for this is just outside solitude, then aim just above mountaintop to the right
Illusion:
double cast muffle while walking around (again, aprentice and no dual casting perks) but takes a bit more to level it up then alteration
Also clairvoyance does nothing, i spent all mana several times with no lvl up on low lvls
Restoration:
people recomend spaming repel undead line, even if they are higher level it staggers them and also plays in avoid killing rp
Dont dual cast this becouse it can break the game (or save often if you do), recomended spell is repel undead line on group of undead becouse it has small aoe
Heal spells are way too slow
Conjuration:
When in combat go to place enemy cant reach you and spam bound weapons (cos summons auto attack enemy), takes a bit and its not really in no kill rp spirit
this man never sleeps or sees his family like a true lizard man billionaire

Not worth it. The spikes have no idea what immunity frames are.

*Doesn't use it and instead goes the long way around*
Dude really ground his speech skill up to 100 by giving free poison to merchants then continued selling things one at a time for the love of the game.
Invest in gear that lowers cost of illusion and alteration spells. Learn a spell that pacifies enemies. Run in to Halted Stream Camp, pacify all the bandits, grab the Transmute Ore spell book, run out of there. Learn Transmute Ore, then go in any Iron Ore mine and mine all the Iron ore you possibly can, then use transmute ore to turn those iron ore in to gold ore. Make Gold Ingots, create jewelry, with the jewels you get from mining. Sell ??? profit!
Man I should have watched further. lol
I love how you used the word “pacify” made me actually laugh out loud.LMAOOOOO. Thank you for stopping by :)
"if only i could have hired a mercenary." You COULD have, there's the one in the building on a raised section just at the entrance of whiterun
On PC, I always play with the "True Master Trainers" and "Unlimited Training" mods. It makes no sense that there's a training cap per level, even if you have the money and the trainer can and will train you. It also makes no sense that a master trainer can't train you to full mastery.
They're just arbitrary limitations to nerf you, so I like having them gone.
I think it’s so dumb too! I didn’t know about those mods, thanks :)
@@EldianDevilPlays You're welcome! Happy to help. 😁
Also, I think the Nexus has two different "Unlimited Training" mods. If one doesn't work for you, the other will. It may take a little trial and error.
To be fair, I don't think you could even get Goldenhill Plantation, cuz you gotta kill ghosts to get it
a nord that doesn't fight? immersion shattering
A nord that has found peace and has no enemies
I mean, in reality it would be immersion shattering if literally every nord fights people. Like, this is supposed to be an entire country of people.
@@peterlewis2178 find me one nord in skyrim that doesn't fight back when you punch him, I'll be waiting
@@GreasyOaf I mean, there's a difference between fighting back in self defense, and just fighting in general. But also, I wasn't talking about in the game, but in the world the game is meant to represent. There would certainly be some Nord civilians who wouldn't fight back, and would run or hide instead because they don't have the ability to fight back effectively.
And yes, I get that in this video he didn't fight back, but that's because it's a game, and fighting back is way too easy and super unrealistic, so making the rule to not fight at all was meant to help simulate the abilities of a regular citizen. You could even argue that him just being able to take damage and heal simulates a regular citizen fighting, since irl with those kinds of blows you'd be dead in an instant.

Skyrim if the protagonist was not the Dragonborn:
my go to potion for quick easy money is Mora Tapolia, Creep Cluster and Scaly Photalia that sells for about 200 before any perks added to the alchemy skill tree
I love the absurdity and the masochism. Great video keep it up!
Ive always felt the Purify perk from Alchemy is a misstep, since having more effects makes a potion worth more. Ive never tested if the perk actually reduces value though
When you are cutting firewood, after the last hit when youre character is about to put away the axe slightly move backwards to repeat the animation and you don‘t have to interact again

Um. Stewards can absolutely still be companions if you need them. Just that if you dismiss them, they'll go to your home instead of where they usually hang out.
Also my go-tos for moneymaking potions are the traditional game-start boost of salmon roe (roasting fish jumping up the Riverwood waterfall) and nordic barnacle cluster (various spots under Lake Ilinalta) and after that, scaly pholiota and creep cluster, or canis root and swamp fungal pod. Of course the latter is a super useful affect in combat (paralysis) so I don't tend to sell it much, hehe

I love that Skyrim videos are using Baldur's Gate 3 music in the background these days. BG3's soundtrack is every bit as lovely as Skyrim's, and it makes sense that the same people would be playing both games... I know I certainly do!
I really liked this video! The premise is super interesting.
Alchemy in Skyrim is the equivalent of printing your own money. It is way more profitable than adventuring...except that you can get a lot of potion ingredients by adventuring.
So you dying to the giant is a proximity thing.
If you are close to a giant for to long then they will get aggressive. Also, when loading into a new area and your on a black screen, your actually loaded in and because the giant was right next to the door and it had that extra second or 2 from the black screen, it was seeing you as a threat and was able to attack while you couldn’t move.
So, long short, it’s a loading and AI combination that keeps saves in a death loop.
Everyone hates nazeem because he dose nothing except farming and walking and talking
Joov did an iron man challenge for anyone wanting to see more content like this from Skyrim.
came for the concept, stayed for the osrs soundtrack & references
I have a challenge, can you survive 1000 days in Skyrim acting as a typical wondering hunter/survivor/survival enthusiast... ie, camping bag, dagger for skinning hunted critters, sleeping bag, enchanting gear for portable use, cooking pot... etc... most would require a decent mod, but the Campire and Frostfall Mod by Chesko paired together make it very realistic...
Pro Tip!! If you ever get softlocked in Skyrim like that again (25:40), press ' (apostrophe), you'll open the console screen, which will give you enough time to let the screen fade in and let you move before the Giant attacks!
Oh cool thanks! It was my first time playing Skyrim on PC so I’ve never messed with console commands.
So you’re actually supposed to be able to still take Sven as a follower, this is actually a dialogue bug, that the unofficial patch fixed. Basically what happens is the steward dialogue is incorrectly overriding the follower dialogue options. The actor still has the follower tags, you just can’t access the follower options anymore. It’s really weird that Bethesda didn’t patch that themselves ever.
But that’s why I always play with USSEP. You’d be surprised how many things people assume are features are actually bugs.

You have an item, the gloves, that give you an alchemy buff. Why don't you make 2 potions alternately. Potion 1 increases the effect on magic items by x% and Potion 2 increases the effect of alchemy by x%. The ingredients of both potions can be found at dealers and also in Skyrim's nature. The fish you need can be found in lakes and rivers and the other things can also be collected or bought. If you alternate between brewing and using these potions, you will get infinitely powerful potions that are worth thousands of gold coins. So with a little passion for collecting and waiting a few times for 48 hours for the respawn you'll have a whopping 10000000000 coins ;D. And you can even speed things up because in the capital, with the two sisters in the shop, you can always find items that buff alchemy and thus increase the effect. Today I got both an amulet and a ring as well as a crown that increases alchemy.
I love this idea! You’re clearly passionate about Skyrim :). Thank you for stopping by!!!
This is such a great video. These games really are infinitely replayable
It is to bad they didn't expect something like this so that Riverwood guard wouldn't say I used to be an adventurer like you on similar playthrus

In Whiterun you could have also included The Drunken Hunstman (store across from the smith, also open 24/7). You also could have grinded speech with a female vendor to level up faster. Cool run!
"Honest gold for honest work."
I love the video!
Btw, may I ask about your mods? Looks sick ❤️🔥🔥🔥
Vivid weathers definitive edition has most of everything visual, enhanced light and FX. Then I used the ehanced textures mod!
I feel like "normal guy" should include the ability to use a bow (a regular, wooden bow, not some crazy daedric artifact) to hunt animals (and "loot" their meat and leather). That's a pretty normal thing in the setting.
21:18 He didn't want his elicit activities put in writing. Standard procedure for crooks.
LMAO. Atriel HATES Jarls even more now
Going to the sky forge in whiterun would have made the court wizard worth going to sell stuff considering Smith's have a higher amount of money.
You had me when you used Aylin's theme for the start
I would argue ridding the land of bandits, sanctioned by the jarl of falkreath, would fall under the purview of "normal" citizen. Citizens were conscripted plenty of times in medieval societies.
That’s a really cool fact to know :)
Divinity Original Sin as background music is a nice choice. 👍

The BG3 music in the background is perfect
There was one way you could’ve made it easier: golden glow estate, it has a ton of planters, passive income(money and plants) and is a free house(if u have Sven to help)
At the low low cost of any side quest and an amulet of Mara you could have gotten married and your spouse would have generated you 100 gold a day passive income
And would have become another merchant available (who lives in your house)
In a pure role-play persective, you can quickly make money by being a hunter and crafting leather armors. But it would break your rules as you said no killing and no looting, which include animals. I might note on that point that you're not a regular Skyrim citizen, you're pacifist surrounded mainly by people ready to snap and spill blood at the 1st occasion. :D
Concerning spells, the fortify allies illusion spell is a way too easy tool to level up quickly. And, unless it's due to some mod on my side, you don't need to be in combat to gain experience from it. So, you can go in an inn during the evenings, when there's a lot of customers, and cast your spell. The more ally targets there are, the more xp you'll get (which makes barracks and soldier camps good spots to train your illusion skill, too).
"you can't plant a Giant's toe"
Boy do I got a scary story for you (like actual 'scary story' it's in a book)
OH HELL NO.
