Remember...Yoga is NOT a sport. In America yoga has been totally butchered into this ego centered sport. Spiritual realization is the aim that exists in each of us to seek our Devine core, that core remains latent within us. It is not an outward quest for a holy grail that lies beyond, but an inward journey to allow the inner core to reveal itself. The yogic journey guides us from our periphery, the body, to the center of our being, the soul. The aim is to integrate the different layers so that the inner divinity shines out as through clear glass.
Yoga is not a sport. Certainly not, however many people have "butchered" it, and made others believe that you can become fit in mind and body by doing "hot" yoga and others that are far too fast and too vigorous. The new trend has completely abandoned the original aim of yoga. It is quite sad. We could learn essential life principles, such as love, honesty, giving and forgiveness. Peace and happiness would follow.
I have had yoga class with her and she is a very good yoga teacher. she is charming, elegant, well dressed and intelligent. She can do poses that 25 year olds cannot manage.
Wow! what an inspiration this lady is. She is living proof that you can do anything you set your mind to. She gives validity to the idea that we are more than just our bodies. We are in essence spiritual beings....spirit never grows old nor dies.
I can feel her energy from here. Never let anyone tell you you can’t do something. Not even yourself. Amazing 101 years and now she’s in her new planet, living new adventures, because she can do anything!
Each time I feel I am getting bored, dull and loosing the spirit of life, I will always come back to watch Tao's speech. She hasn't told herself that I am old, so her brain is only responding to what it is fed. Tao is a very positive woman, full of love and kindness. I would like to be like her as my calender rolls further. I am glad I stumbled upon this video.
I believe people like this (good people who understand life and preach joy and unity and love) are reincarnated enough times to come to this point so they can share their positivity and inspire others!

I don't know how you or your dad are now, three years later. But I can relate very much to your feelings. To focus on your own growth and positivity without being pulled down by others' mindset is sometimes very hard to do. Take good care of yourself, it will be an example to others!
Very inspiring. I praise children all my life and just finished with my granddaughter last year. I'm 67 years old and just now realizing that I can do anything I want to do. This is the first time in my life that has ever happened to me. I've always been tied down and I really don't know what to do because I'm somewhat free?
I'm not even 40, and I can't do most that she can do. I recently started Yoga, and found myself swearing and farting a lot. Once, I cried a little bit. I'm hoping it gets easier. Either way - This lady is an inspiration.
You will get better, I assure you. I have been doing yoga for years, learning new poses, new stretches. Take your time. Relax into your poses and take 5 breaths. Feel the energy come in. Use relaxing music, singing bowls, angel music. Every day, inch by inch, bit by bit you activate your body and your DNA. TPL is right about sooo many things. No more swearing, okay? relax, sink into your music and pose and before long, you will amaze yourself and everyone else. Yoga is the one sport you can do, and you can get better over years and decades. And forget the passing gas. It means your body is healthy. Good bacteria.
I worked in a nursing home for awhile and to see the elderly people in there just waiting to die , not being able to feed themselves or wash themselves .. this woman is incredible 🙏🏽
That happens because people accept the limiting beliefs about aging. When we refuse to conform to that outdated mindset we find all the ways possible to keep ourselves in at least "reasonably" good shape, like improving our nutrition and exercising regularly, including resistance training which can prevent falls like she had, keeping a positive 'can do' attitude like she mentioned, feeding our minds and spirit, and finding things to enjoy in our everyday lives. But people are told to work hard and to worry about building a retirement fund (instead of living life) but it's often used up paying medical bills. I don't want to become a burden to my children so at 65 I'm doing my best to practice all of the above.
I worked as a nurse in a nursing home as well and was amazed at how hateful so many people can be when they are old. But then so many of them were obese or had serious aches and pains from arthritis, etc.
@@alexam5336 I m in pain but decide not to get eaten by eat. I've accepted it. It's part of my life. I still hope the pain will go but I still carry on doing yoga and other sports despite the pain. I don't want to give up. It's like if you didn't want to feel sadness in your life. Life is about accepting all that comes even the pains
Tao Porchon-Lynch on August 13, 2019, she will be 101 according to Wikipedia. She still teaches Yoga which she began to study when she was 8 yo. Her mother was Indian. She also teaches ballroom dancing and she was a former model and actress. Her husband was in the wine business. She had no children. She's had 4 hip replacement surgeries.

Life is a choice, we can choose anytime at any point in our live how we want to live. What we want to do, no matter where we come from, how we were brought up, what’s the color of our skin. It matters where we want to place our live. Be grateful for all the trouble,heartbreak,misery you went through. Work on inner self and be liberated from our own thoughts. If we are free from our thoughts than we are free from everything. Learn to Believe good things cos what we believe seems very true to ourselves. Universe only feel the energy, not as negative or positive so if we throw out positivity then we ll eventually get what we sow. We can start all over again, it’s never too late.
