The hunt is real! I spend hours and hours each week, combing through thrift stores, estate sales, auctions, flea markets & Antique centers ... to bring home the goods and prepare them for selling in my Ebay store, my antique booth and on Facebook Marketplace, which fully supports me.

My Husband was walking through the room as your prelude to your videos was playing and he said “wow what a cute young couple” I said they are definitely young at heart. He looked at me kind of puzzled and then said I didn’t mean young as in their 20’s but they are definitely a lot younger than we are. I asked him how old he thought you guys were and he said maybe 40.And I told him we are younger than they are, I am 56 and he is 50,And he said , NO WAY!!!They look like Ken and Barbie! I agree. Your energy ,positivity and joy are inspiring.
They're in their early 60s. Good genes, I guess.

I love buying and selling wood items. Easy to store, easy to list, easy to ship! Also, you two are adorable.
Wow! I wish the Goodwill shelves were abundantly filled with items in my city. Texas Goodwills need to up their game!
I would say the same for Goodwill's in NC.
WOW! I wish I lived in USA. Here in Sweden the prices in thrift stores is really high! It’s very popular to shop secondhand today. I remember 1979. Hardly anybody went to thrift stores, and the items was so cheap, so I bought a lot.
But now, after all, the money goes to good causes.

I think Goodwill are known for only giving a tiny fraction to charity - pretty cheeky considering people donate for free but then again it’s a business so…fair enough!

The frame on the art can be joined back together with a string vise loop around frame and twist to tightened with a pencil.

Fabulous finds, Karen! If this was a grand opening at my GW, here's how it'd go down: Regional mgr to workers "I want every Magnalite, Monet, & Murano piece front and center on the shelves! Full bins of Cutco utensils! I don't want to see anything with damage!!" Me shopping the shelves 2 days later and every day after: "Wonder if anyone would want an angel with half a wing, a bag of plastic sporks from Taco Bell or a box of broken ceramic figurines?" 🤓

This cracks me up extra, because I kept my angel with half a wing that broke in my backyard! I can't bring myself to throw it out!

Where does all this stuff come from? It never ceases to amaze me how much stuff Americans purchase and then discard. But after the resellers get finished, the neighborhood folks will be asking why are the shelves in this store so empty? lol
Right? It’s really quite shocking! We are definitely a “throw away” nation. There’s so much unnecessary consumption, which is why I appreciate resellers- they help keep things out of the landfill. 😊
@@LindaKayHolevas I agree but very often I see certain resellers taking all of one particular item leaving not even one for the regular customer which makes me cringe.

@@tinaindina7032 For example...without mentioning names, I observed a reseller scoop up approximately 15 pairs of new shoes of the same brand and size which comprised all that was available at a local thrift store. I also observed another reseller snatch up about 20 brand new bras at a church rummage sale. Neither of these resellers left even one for the possibility that a customer who might be in need of a good bargain would have the opportunity to purchase the item. Sorry, but that is unadulterated greed at its most cringiest.
If you really want to cringe Andrea, go shopping at a GW when they "clear the shelves". They take rolling bins and remove and smash all the breakables and take to the landfills. Idk why people have it so backwards. I think you have to be a reseller to understand. I've been doing it for 10 years. If you want more eye-opening experiences, go dumpster diving at an Old Navy. You'll find bags and bags of NEW clothing with tags and every piece is slashed with a razor to prevent others from using it. Nothing surprises me anymore.

I have a soft spot in my heart for anything by Maurice Utrillo. Growing up in the '60s, my mother had a Utrillo print of a street scene on the wall in the living room of our apartment. He was famous for his street scenes. Your print looks like an especially good one, with a nice frame. A Google image search should tell you the title and where it is. He usually painted scenes of Montmartre (Paris).
Most importantly, I forgot to mention- some of us are also hoping for a Roger in our future 😅😂- such a gem. The2of you are so entertaining. Elizabeth

Karen, that Grand Opening was tame compared to the 3 Goodwill Grand Openings I have been to in the Washington, DC area. The lines were around the building and there were no spaces left in the parking lot. Only the first people got carts. I had to drag 4 IKEA bags around the store. The check out lines were woven in and out of the aisles around the store. We had to be breaking fire codes to have so many people in the building. It was not possible to get in every aisle. I am truly not exaggerating. It was totally different from your experience. Fun video! Lori

I usually go for the purses, Vera Bradley, Baggalini and whatever catches my eye, shoes, Clarks, and the hard goods as you called I like Willow Tree, Vinage stuff ike angels etc, wow that GW is HUGGGEEEEE!, We have that Magnalite roaster, for years, comes out for special occassion like Thanksgiving since it fits a large turkey or for Christmas since it fits a large ham.
That was a Tom Clark Santa. I collect his work-used to be out of NC.

I have that same Wagner roaster sitting on my kitchen table. I found it a few weeks ago at my favorite thrift store. I think I saw it on Kayla's channel too. I was standing looking at other kitchen items when the thrift store employee put it down next to me and it was all I could do to contain myself! I was chanting in my head "I know what this is, I know what this is!"😂
Now I have to decide if I'm going to keep it or if it will be my 1st flip.

I have had that same Steif rabbit puppet for 46 years now. He is still in amazing condition. Such quality!

GE Karen - Did you ever venture up to "The Boutique at the Rink" for cancer in Bethlehem? It runs from Tuesday to Saturday after Memorial Day? Thursday and Friday are 1/2 price days and Saturday is fill a bag for $10. I volunteer for it. Have a nice rest of your day.
