You asked what the silver object with a handle was- It's part of a French press for making coffee. It's the plunger part. It pushes the coffee down to the bottom of the glass container of the French press,to separate the coffee from the grounds.

The thing that has you stumped is the plunger for a fresh coffee cafetiere.Make your coffee in the jug wait a few minutes then plunge the fresh coffee to the bottom.

For the stain: Make a paste with dish soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide. Let it sit a bit and scrub with an old toothbrush. Gets old stains out!

@sharonduran1619 I use 2/3 dawn platinum and 1/3 hydrogen peroxide. Works great for set in stains as well. I do kids' sales, and it saves me from throwing nice clothes away because of a stain.

I agree the blue Dawn, baking soda and peroxide has gotten 98% of stains out of clothes I've bought to resell. I usually put a paste on and let it sit then launder as usual

That saying on the FRIENDS mug is from when Phoebe told the crew about how lobsters mate for life. It’s one of the best episodes of the series. Rachel finally finds out that Ross has been carrying a torch for her for years, and at the end Phoebe says, “See! She’s his lobster!”😄 Oh! And thanks for another fun shopping trip!❤😁

Hi Danni. Happy New Year! The R-J newspaper recently printed an article, "3 tried and true methods for removing stains." I cut it out not knowing you would be asking! So, from the article, they recommend the following. 1. Dish soap and baking soda. Mix a few drops of dish soap with a tablespoon of baking soda to form a paste. Apply to stain, let sit to 10-15 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Gently scrub and repeat if necessary. 2. Hydrogen peroxide. It does say to avoid this method on delicate fabrics as it may cause discoloration. Dilute hydrogen peroxide with water in equal parts, then soak the stain for 5-10 minutes before rinsing with cold water. Add a few drops dish soap or baking soda to the mixture for tougher stains. 3. OxyClean MaxForce. Consumer Reports recommends this commercial stain remover stating it works best for stubborn cotton materials that "like to hold on to stains." This would be the one I would try - off to Amazon! lol You'll have to let us know which method you used and if any worked! Good luck! -Karen in Henderson

Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover. I buy it on Amazon and it’s saved me a bundle of money. Especially great when I get something greasy on my tops. Also have used it on my upholstered dining chairs using plenty of water as fabric not removable from chairs. It IS a miracle! I’d suggest the gel rather than the spray as it seems to be more controlled to the spot.

I bought some linens that were stained and a few had bright red embroidery in it. Another was multi coloured with red in as well. I had looked on line for tips and found one I tried and use often now. I filled a clear plastic bin with boiling hot water as suggested! I added Oxie clean, put in table cloths, and put the lid on. It was summer so I followed the outside directions and let them soak in the sun all day and over night as well. The next morning I waited until around 11:00 am, so they could get the morning sunlight, then pulled them from the soak bin and rinsed them in cold water. Checked them right after and all stains were gone and the reds stayed bright red red and no bleeding of any of the colours and the white was even brighter too. I then put them in the washer to rinse again and spin before putting them in the dryer. It didn’t take me any real extra work either. Since I live in Ontario Canada where we have all 4 seasons I sill use the oxie soak in a bin over night but don’t put it outside after September or mid October depending on the weather. I will start doing it outside in the Spring once the temps are in the 70’s and the sun is shinning. I think it works better when it soaks in the sunlight but it still worked in the winter as well. I bought the linens to resell but I kept them because I ended up using them for my picture taking area’s and Whatnot shows to change things up once in a while, Lol I hope this helps. If the stain is super stubborn there are other options as well like different home made paste’s you can try as well. I did have to do a few runners twice with the overnight method but it worked so it was worth the effort.

I know this is an older video, i have cleaned stains out of wedding dresses out with a paste made from ... dawn dish soap, ajax or comet, and peroxide.... test small area first, rub it with a white wash cloth in circular motions, and rinse with clean wet washcloth same way til you have soap mixture out.... press between dry white coths to dry to avoid water circles from cleaned areas.... its time consuming depending on the stain, but worth it in the end...

a couple of ideas treat the area with shampoo let sit 10 to 15 min then rinse an launder per care instructions, this works best for oily stains 2) apply hydrogen peroxide with a cotton swab to stain let sit 5 to 10 minutes then rinse and allow to dry in direct sun, this works best on protein stains 3) make a pastes of oxiclean and shampoo work it in to the stained area let sit up to 30 minutes.and rinse and as a last resort tea dye the whole table cloth in a mottled manner to blend in the stain

For the tablecloth, you could try a stain remover spray just incase.
    If that does not work,
I would take the tablecloth to the dry cleaner.
You are often out & about, there must be a dry cleaner around.
I know it costs but those stains are usually very difficult to remove.
If the dry cleaner says they won't be able to remove the stain then it's a keeper for 3 bucks.
If they say they can remover it, you could pay the cost, & when you sell the item, you can say the beautiful cloth was treated at the dry cleaner and that cost will be included in the selling price. It is such a pretty tablecloth and someone will love it, & understand. Good luck. 🍀

I may have a solution for the stain on the table cloth. Years ago my tree skirt colours ran and I thought it was ruined. At that time I was cooking beets, the water turned red of course. I had the idea to soake the tree skirt in the hot water and dye the whole thing red. Lo and behold, the red that ran was gone and all the colors were vibrant. Even the white background was beautiful! Might be worth a try. Merry Christmas!

It doesn't have Santa, the trees didn't appear to be decorated and there is no stable. I am just saying it looks winter and not Christmasy to me.

I use Grandma’s Spot Remover and Oxi-Clean Max Force together and that combo is really good at removing stains. I think there have only been a few times where it didn’t work.

That bowl was so amazing! More than likely the tablecloth stain is something organic like food so I would spray it with hydrogen peroxide..won't hurt the other colors.

For the stain, try some oxi clean powder mixed with water to make a paste or a thick liquid

Use oven cleaner on your stains. Yes, even on your clothes . Most stains are food. Oven cleaner lifts and breaks down the proteins in the stains. DONT B Scared. Spray it on let it sit, no longer than five minutes scrub it around a little bit. Then rinse and repeat if needed.
