Soothing in a turbulent world.
Fantastic!
@@dieselterminal97304 glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely to see and hear again, a peak on the main line.
@@brianwillson9567 yeah, I was never around to see these when they were a normal appearance but thanks to YT, I can still appreciate it!
Thanks for watching, this was definitely one of my favourite things I've filmed so far!
Great shot of the departing Peak, enjoyed cheers Nick.
@@RedShedNick thanks a lot! I definitely enjoyed filming it, hopefully she'll be up in my neck of the woods soon enough! 🤞
Thanks for watching as always mate!
@@TrainGuy_2008Sure she will!
Nigh on every Saturday from mid 84 to mid 86 I would be under Holgate Bridge while my wife would be at work in York. Just about all the Scarborough and Newcastle trains were Peak hauled. My favourite trip was Leeds to Stalybridge over Standedge behind a Peak, standing at a window until we reached Diggle then downhill all the way to Stalybridge. Great days.
@@juleshathaway3894 sounds like a trip and a half! What I'd give to have loco hauled trains back in regular use.. get rid of all these new modern crappy MUs and bring back 37s with MK2/MK3s! 😍
@@TrainGuy_2008 Absolutely, I am glad I got in what I managed back then, right time right place. I was in the RAF at Church Fenton at the time and wanted to stay there for ever....didn't happen sadly. I have few regrets in life but one is that I did not explore more of Yorkshire as there was still a fair amount of steam age infrastructure about, loose coupled freights and semaphores. Oh to have two weeks back in time with my digital camera of course, haha.
Wonderful clip, many thanks.
Oh that sound when they open the throttle...........
@@couzeukian5122 it's an unbeatable sound! 😍
Great capture as always! 👍
@@ENCTrainspotting thanks a lot mate! 👍
Nice video 👍❤
@@mulatnochannel thank you! :)
Amazing I saw 68034&68010 yesterday
@@teamtrains thanks for watching, that sounds cool! 👍
With the Brush at the back, a Sulzer HST?
@@brianwillson9567 not quite a HST.. more of a 47 but equally as cool! 🤣
@@TrainGuy_2008 original HST, a Valenta at each end. That formation, a sulzer 12 cylinder at each end, hence 'a Sulzer HST' comment.
@@brianwillson9567 ohh, sorry, that's my bad! 😅
Yeah, in that case it is a Sulzer HST 😅
Great shot! Remember to look for Michael on the 70 tomo. I’ve told him you might be at Llandudno 😅
Forgot to say he’s only on the return working not the morning one 👍🏻
@@mcttrains thanks a lot mate! Yeah, will it be a 70, yeah? Either way, I will indeed be at Llandudno Junction.. might try seeing it at Colwyn Bay on the return though, but we'll see. 👍
@@TrainGuy_2008 70809, let me know where and I’ll tell him. He’s only on the return working 👍🏻
@@mcttrains okay, good to know! How come he's not taking it TO Pen? Anyway, just tell him I'll see him either in Llandudno Junction or Colwyn Bay - so just tell him to look out for me in either of those stations, thanks! 🙂
@@TrainGuy_2008 hope you got to see him he has failed near mostyn prob the heat..
It reminds us of the diesel electric era of the 1970s
@@thebrummierailenthusiasts5329 yeah, what I'd do to go back to that era, would be amazing to see it all myself!!
@@TrainGuy_2008yeah mate
It would be my dream to have worked on the railways in that era.
@@bombadilian oh, tell me about it! Working alongside these thrashy beasts.. would've been amazing!! 😍
