I’ve spent many many years collecting in the area along Gibson’s road right to the top of the hill. It is loaded with Calcite vein dykes. I usually find them in swarms over a 1+ acre area. I have found diggings that haven’t been worked in decades and others that are actively being worked. Great video and keep up the good work!!
Salamander 12:00 lol that is a awesome vein dyke a abundance of minerals everywhere your lucky to have all those awesome minerals I'm lucky to find a decent piece in 6 months time lol I use a probe like that when I look for bottle dumps when I see old glass laying around awesome video brother thanks for sharing
Sometimes the crunch of the leaves as you stroll is like angels singing...the rumple of rock tumbling makes music for our ears..yes the Orchestra of our planet pleases me so...great video as usual!.(..sorry was havin me some sunday mornin church..)😌
I love being outside at this time of year. We saw deer, turkey, grouse and migrating geese. The forest smelled so good. I really enjoyed myself. I have more video from the adventure that I need to compile. It was a good day.
Really beautiful! I'd be breaking out jackhammer and compressor. The rock and gem trade is picking up for some reason. I have a friend here in the states that has opened a shop, she is doing pretty well. I have buckets and buckets of rose and smokie quarts. Also tons of Flint from Flint ridge Ohio. Great video
Now there's a place I'd love to rockhound , now that my health is good and my "Bug Strength " is back I'm hopefully going to get out somewhere before the season is finished, it's been a incredibly lack luster season because of I'll health but like I said I'm back to health and there's a few weeks left for me to hopefully get some kind of hounding under my belt. It's always nice to see Daisy enjoying her time out with you Greig , you have an awesome furry friend there.
Daisy is a buddy. Something funny happened yesterday. We broke for lunch near a cabin that had reflective windows. Daisy spotted her reflection, the hair went up on her neck and barked at it for a few minutes. Too bad I did not capture it on video. Glad your health has returned. Get out and enjoy yourself before it is too cold.
The young couple you hear in the background are older than me. They own a couple of well known pay-to-play mines for rockhounds including the Beryl Pit. Really sweet and interesting people. It was so nice to see them enjoying themselves in this spot together. I have never visited their mines, but think I might after meeting them.
I am not the right person to ask as I don't sell rocks often. However, I know people who successfully sell on eBay, so that might be an option for you.
Thanks for the feedback. It is a new camera for me. I like that it is waterproof and has a built in light. I am not sure about the audio. For sure, I had some issues that were self inflicted. I wore a compass on a string around my neck. When I leaned forward, it would swing into the back of the camera making a loud click.
Sure did enjoy that, the wild beaver was getting restless though, bless. Would liked to have seen that huge one taken out, looked like more than one in there. Lots of huge appetite, any worth cutting ? I think that perhaps you chose your words carefully when you said thanks for letting me In your hole, I'm sure she giggled. Great video Greig.
Amazing area. Looks like a great place to explore. Thanks for sharing. Take care.
I really enjoyed myself walking the hills with Daisy, wondering what would be found over the next rise.
Really enjoy your stuff and education... Thanks!

Is it true that Crystal Vein Dyke has a famous brother (actor Dick Vein Dyke)? Daisy is looking good, and what a beautiful spot to rockhound !!
Ah yes. Crystal was her stage name and she was a famous pole dancer. LOL

Someone should make a portable battery powered pressure washer.
I have a gas powered one. Of course, you need a nearby supply of water...
You'll have to forgive my autocorrect, I swear it needs rehab.
Sometimes we all say the most funny things when the computer tries to help. ;-)

Nice pegmatite!
Have you ever found clear quartz crystal with anything inside of it
I have never found quartz with anything organic inside. Found lots with stuff stuck to the outside that was difficult to remove.

Can I assume that the young couple have a claim there? Maybe a Rock shop somewhere?
