My Great-Grandfather served during the First World War in the Argonne (though he wasn't a part of the Lost Battalion). He told my grandmother a really interesting story. He was by himself, lost in the Forest and a German soldier crashed into him. The soldier looked up at my great-grandfather and he (my GG) said it was like looking into a mirror. It would be Memorial Day, not Veteran's day, unless you seem to imply there are any Great War veterans left here over 100 years later.
@@Flight_of_Icarus thanks for the correction i will correct it ( :
When you and you're friends are the only ones left in dodgeball
thank you dio very cool
Never piss towards the wind -Sun Tzu
Always remember the 308th! Lost yes but never forgotten!
The thing I hate about this song is that it ends
When you play in Argonne Forest in BF1
Templar Knight I could never get on that damn shit show of an operation the majority of the time the American side couldn’t get past the first line
Ha, Battlefield 1 still feels epic in 2020. The graphics were also ahead of their time, and now still comparable to some other games, which released in 2020. I love it
@@userandresearcher1036 Are there still servers for it? I want to but BF1 instead of BFV that shit, but I'm afraid they will shit down the servers
There's still servers for BF1, yeah :-)
Facts though
One of the best songs I’ve ever heard. The use of guns as drums is genius
The cover art is so awsome that i could see someone making a b movie with all of the armies fighting some time travel bs XD
So long as they got the rights to this album for the soundtrack it wouldn't be a b movie
A scientist in a world where robots have taken over invents time travel and brings into the future the legendary armies that existed in human history to fight a last stand against the last enemy, for humanity!!!
The 77th Batallion, the Winged Hussars, the last of the Samurai, and Spartans again Persian, Ottoman, German, and imperial Japanese forces
@@Raymuk That would be an awesome movie.
This song inspired me to write a short story in college about a fictitious soldier who was a part of The Lost Battalion. It also inspired me to research further into my great grandfather's history, as he too was a soldier in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, in Company C of the 305th Infantry Regiment to be more specific. He didn't suffer through the trials The Lost Battalion faced, but he still came away with terrible memories and a deep hate of the smell of cheese. Thank you for the song and the honor it provides to the men of the 308th, 307th and 306th.
why the hate for cheese? Kindly excuse my ignorance.
@@greatcanadianmoose3965 As my great grandfather moved into villages the Germans had pulled out of, he came across the corpses of livestock they had slaughtered as they retreated. The smell of them rotting was very similar to that of cheese to him and after getting home he never ate cheese ever again.
@@wearyguardsman That's awful.

5 years later and this is still one of my favorite songs one of these days i still need to see you guys live.
We really hope that will happen ASAP 😉
I like that Sabaton as always honours lesser know soldiers, like here the hellfighters it's just nice of them, and song is a certified banger.
I feel that if soldiers could listen to these songs in vital moments of combat, nothing. NOTHING! could stand in their way >:D
What if.. their enemy listen to same song?
@@semihenes9827 both wont have any problem in morale and will die till the last man
I hate to be that guy but listening to music during combat really isn't a good idea.

Legends say they are still lost in Argonne...
Some of those soldiers still are. Those that fell in battle. May God guide them home.
@@warden8573 that's what I meant mate. I am glad the meaning didn't get lost.
You could say *they Argonne*
Epic. I learn more here than at school.
😎 We're complementary lessons
I like listening to this song while playing Helldivers 2
Especially the part at 2:35 during the orbital deployment, it makes you feel invincible 😎
Great! Stay awesome guys.
My dads grandpa was there from 1916 to the end of great war
no wait, take it back, this is the fucking best song ever. I could keep on clicking all their songs and say this
Far from their land as they made their stand
They stood strong and the legend still lives on
1918 the great war rages on
A battalion is lost in Argonne
Under fire there's nothing they can do
There's no way, they can get a message through
Suffer heavy losses as the battle carries on
Liberty division standing strong
Far from their land as they made their stand
A disregarded demand
It's surrender or die and the stakes are high
They live or they die, there's no time for goodbye
Weapon in hand, they made their stand
Still disregarding demand
They would never comply, they would rather die
Broke through the blockade, they were finally saved
Friendly fire munitions running low
The supplies, they were dropped upon their foe
1918 the war still rages on
The battalion still trapped in the Argonne
Chose not to surrender, they chose victory or defeat
Fallen brothers resting by their feet
Far from their land as they made their stand
A disregarded demand
It's surrender or die and the stakes are high
They live or they die, there's no time for goodbye
Weapon in hand, they made their stand
Still disregarding demand
They would never comply, they would rather die
Broke through the blockade, they were finally saved
Far from their land as they made their stand
A disregarded demand
It's surrender or die and the stakes are high
Live or die, who cal tell there's no goodbye
With weapon in hand, they made their stand
Still disregarding demand
They would never comply, they would rather die
They stood strong and the legend still lives on
Suffered heavy losses through the great war they stood strong
But the memory of the fallen still lives on
Far from their land as they made their stand
A disregarded demand
It's surrender or die and the stakes are high
They live or they die, there's no time for goodbye
Weapon in hand, they made their stand
Still disregarding demand
They would never comply, they would rather die
Broke through the blockade, they were finally saved
May they never be forgotten.
Heroes will never be forgotten!
Mladen LORKOVIC heroj too bad some are the rokes drift soldiers have only got a film in England we don’t learn about them Schindler is often forgotten as well
I love, how Sabaton converts a historical event into music.(In my opinion who loves Sabaton, that likes history.)This music is one of my favourite song by Sabaton, but I better love Rorke's Drift or Defence of Moscow.Overall I like Sabaton very much.Never give up this job. With love from Hungary.
1:01 Люблю того человека,что делал перевод на русский для этой песни,перевести "Live or die" ,как "Погибнуть или умереть" это нужно уметь
Ещё и "прощения" вместо "прощания")
Perfect for Helldiver 2 especially with the fight against the automatons ca🤖
My great grandfather was with the 77th infantry division, he was there at the battle of the argonne.

@@thewanderingdoomed4883 They stood strong and the legend still lives
That's exactly my story but it was my brother that showed me sabaton but yeah a lot of metal bands are satanic so I stick to sabaton and a little bit of power wolf
May those men rest in peace. Thank you so much.😭❤
"Because my soldiers do not buckle or yield when faced with the cruelty of this world! My soldiers push forward, my soldiers scream out, my soldiers *rage!* "
SABATON!!! what are you putting in your songs
I CANT STOP LISTENING ITS SO COOL
They put power metal in it but instead of instruments it's marching, guns, and cannons to make the beat to it
Whoever the one person who disliked this video is, they're not my friend.
There is 46 now sadly but no matter how many dislikes this song gets I'm sure every soldier in this battalion would still gladly fight and die for them sad really
There is no curse in Elvish, Entish, or the tongues of Men for this treachery
Its Australien upside down likes
The people who disliked this are no ones friend
For me this is the best song that sabaton made.
Same.
Even the American's pigeon refused to be defeated. The German army stood no chance.
War is the worst of humanity’s habits. However the nature of war shines light on the most heroic determination and tenacity but also the worst depths of our depravity, bureaucracy and complacency.
We must remember both. To learn from our worst and honor our best.
just imagine.... a new fps where it focuses on the war of great war and the trailer uses this track! i can see it can you? Sabaton gets paid and we get a badass game!
Battlefield 1?
@@CallSignDapper I was honestly thinking the same thing
