On March 10, 1933, the Chasseurs Ardennais was formed. This was a small Belgian unit of soldiers who were to defend the borders along the K-W Line in May 1940. As the German army approached the unit, instead following orders to retreat, they defended the border at all costs. This was due to a communication failure. Speaking on the Chasseurs Ardennais, Panzer division commander Erwin Rommel said: “They are not men; they are green wolves.”

A tremendous tribute to the Belgien Divisions of the "Chasseurs Ardennais" their motto being "Résiste et Mords", "Hold and bite". Their beret Insignia was and still is nowadays, the head of a boar on a Green and large beret. These brave soldiers although outnumbered and outgunned by the Germans held the Border between Germany and Belgium as of 10May 1940, and slowed down the German advance by executing a series of delaying actions and combats, that lead them across Belgium, over 200 km to the waterline of the Belgian Coast. They bought time for the British Expeditionary Corps and others (French and Belgians) to reembark at Dunkirk and preserve the troops needed by Great-Britain, to pursue and end the War against Germany. In 18 Days, they lost 530 men and an ensuing 200, took to the underground resistance fighters against the German occupiers! They were captured, tortured and executed without trial!

This song makes me remember a stroy i have lost where some soldiers fought a guerrilla war against the Germans (i do believe there was 6 of them) and when they were finally pinned down the Germans demanded to know where the rest of their whole platoon was and the Germans denied that they had been so strongly fought and duped by 6 soldiers into thinking they were a platoon

The ghost division gets trolled by a few dozen cheeky belgians who cease the advance for 2 and a half fucking weeks. Germans later find out the size of the force that held them up and probably lost most of thier will to live
