For some reason, the song speaks to me on a deep level. I guess it has to do with how there were men able to hold such faith within the Lord and to be able to fight courageously against the odds. Something I certainly could never do.

It's the music and the subject matter. Part is the "church chord" (I think it's lots of playing around with Dominant 7ths but my music theory is a bit crap these days) harmony running up the major scale followed by the key shift from the song noodling back and forth between g minor and B flat major into I think C# major. Sabaton does a lot of slick things in their music.
The thing with sabaton is you listen to one song, you go, "This is a banger." Then you discover songs like shiroyama, and ghost division which truly get you hooked. Sabaton forever!

Nothing wrong with wishing to spare yourself. It's natural instinct. Sometimes, it's even necessary. However, to die for a cause, for a reason, is noble. I think everyone has it in them. They just aren't aware of that courage.
To stare death in the face and charge into battle anyway, that’s real courage. Those men knew they were going to die, but they fought to the last man anyway because their faith was so strong.

The "IN THE NAME OF GOD" gets me every time
It's the music and the subject matter. Part is the "church chord" (I think it's lots of playing around with Dominant 7ths but my music theory is a bit crap these days) harmony running up the major scale followed by the key shift from the song noodling back and forth between g minor and B flat major into I think C# major. Sabaton does a lot of slick things in their music.
As a non believer this is the peak of Christian culture
The thing with sabaton is you listen to one song, you go, "This is a banger." Then you discover songs like shiroyama, and ghost division which truly get you hooked. Sabaton forever!
I hope that Sabaton will sing about the story of Filipino soldiers who fought in the Battle of Yultong in South Korea. They bravely defended the Allied lines from the combined North Korean and Chinese soldiers which numbered in the thousands.

This is the first song i heard from sabaton and the sone that got me hooked. My oma (grandmother) walked in and i said "hey you gotta listen to this!"
