- ⭐⭐16 channel walkie talkie from Baofeng, voice prompt, VOX. Additional batteries available meaning you can use and have spare on charge.
Comes with 2 x radio units + chargers, belt clips. Earpiece and mic. Very little static when in use and a built-in torch. Easily transmits without interference when in a building but good for distance outside. Something I will be taking on holiday (a great idea if you have never done it....)

I really liked this review, you gave a lot of information about the radio .
The voice prompts for me, were very clear, but however the audio quality sounded a bit tinny in my opinion.
I have had a look at a pair of bowfung radios, but however I use a brand called retavis, which I recommend you try out.

I use a few of these in conjunction with the UV5-R for marshalling trackdays, every bit as good and easier to use than sets costing 10 times as much, battery life is great and replacement batteries cost peanuts. Well built robust little radios that are very user friendly and cost next to nothing. Great review on this excellent little radio.

i have this pair, it is a nice product and the coverage is also far, very useful for camping etc.
The £18 I paid for a pair is amazing value .
A mile range is truly viable .
The claimed10km range and 5w output is nonsense I measured the output at 2w which is still great for the price.
There not pro radios but for things like the front to rear 30 car convoy control communication I use them for they are brilliant.
I've ordered a Kenwood usb data cable for £3.50 to enable some changes to be made however I won't be using the program that's included as it's seems the free Chirp online app is more user friendly.
I also have found a pair of bottom loaded 12" whips for £2.20 which should increase the range by around 50%
increasing the range by 50% is exactly what i need. that's excellent.. I'm hoping for clear radio transmission and reception for about 2.5 miles or so.. 3 miles would be Ideal but i can deal with at least 2.5. miles as long as it's a reliable clear radio voice.. i use these for Bussiness applications as well as recreational

I just bought one - there was only one in the box, clip, charger, lanyard, instructions no earpiece. I turn it on I just get a high pitched monotone A440. The antenna was attached
With the walkie talkies I am sure you can use these for late at night to talk to a friend with them as a hobby being it does seems like that is when most people are asleep

As there is no way to know which channel you are on other than the voice prompt, why would you turn it off? Mine arrived with inadequate instructions and with a random set of channels that were NOT PMR frequencies, and no programming lead.

I just purchased a couple of those with extra batteries to send to Ukraine as a gift during the invasion by Russia.
Hope the Ukrainians can use them for something useful: Police, fire brigade, army or army volunteers... the box says "scrambler", but I am not sure how well that works and if it's good enough for army standards.
The Russians will pick up that signal in seconds and land fire on their arses

I purchased 6 of these for the scan feature but they need to be programmed to use this feature. i have 3 security areas set up for my teams however i can not scan the other teams does anyone know how to activate or program this feature into the master radio

when u get theses radios u need the data cable ,,,,, cos there defunct channels are on fire and rescue , so please get the data cable and reprogram them , not only that some channels are set a low power ,, some with CCTT codes in-place and none have them have the encrypt function enabled which is a plus if u dont want anyone listing to u , so reprogram them ,,,,,, if your getting theses radios for PMF466 then it will work but they are a bit off ,, brilliant for car to car and a toy for your kids as there so cheap ,, about £8 a radio

I have the same. It is a PMR446mhz. If you have that, then you don't need a licence. Ofcom would confirm this

Hi how are you doing and I got my walkie-talkies today and what does MONITOR BUTTON do that should make no sense to me
Here you go:
The monitor button is a squelch control. If you press it, it allows the FM noise to pass to the speaker. Its both a way to set volume, or if your at the extreme range might allow you to hear the other party. Also just a way to know the radio is working and that you have the volume loud enough to hear the other person.

In the description on mine it says they are also ham radios can they be programmed for that as well or emergency channels

Hi, I'm in the UK ( North East) and just taken delivery of 2 of these. No ear pieces in box which is fine.
I have found one radio doesn't reduce in volume. The instructions state you tun the to know and press the "monitor button" at the same time. The button is the upper orange one ( above flashlight). I also find that the radios seem to male tat squelching noise for no reason intermittently...... any ideas, do I have faulty items do you think. Thanks

Let's imagine a scenario where 6 people are using these radios. A mile apart. Will the person standing at 0 miles be able to contact the person 9.5 miles away? Anyone in between?
Roland Eriks Regular range is 2.4 miles or 4 km.

With the sound off, how do you know which is 10 channel to turn voice back on? bad design in that regard Lol.
Just count the channels by the rotary switch. It also has the numbers marked around the base of the switch although they are indistinct.

Squelch level needs to be determinated via software. It's set on level 3 by factory default.
If these were weather proofed they'd be near perfect.

It's not too bad as it more rests on the ear rather than sitting in the ear

They are pre-programmed , but with illegal frequency's. You have to re-programm it with e.g. chirp.

What is the range
Difficult to give you a range as it is terrain dependant (hills/buildings etc). All I can say is I've use on beaches, around hotels and offices etc with no problems
Is it good for construction sites?
I would have though it would work fine unless maybe if its a high-rise and you are going through lots of concrete and steel floors

Distance will depend on conditions and the likes of buildings/hills. Very open round here and on holiday
