Before I started a lengthy career with honda, I worked add a Mazda dealer along with my brother back in the early nineties. Our oldest Master Tech left while I was there, to go work for mazdaspeed. Rumor was, he was going to be building multiple rotor engines for the race teams. Up until then, I had no idea that was how you go about talking a Wankle to the next level. He would have been starting, about the time this car was winning. Wish I could say with some certainty, that I know someone who helped build this.. but I'm just close
The 787B is so good on it's tires in a PS2 linked multi-player race I made the soft tires last for 12 laps at Special Stage Route 11. Everyone's tires turned red before the final lap, but I kept mine in orange for the whole race. Good times.
It's the perfect go to beast and good for 700, 800 and 900pp builds. The worrying thing for me is that I've just realised I've clocked up 12,521 miles in mine...I need to get out more.
The rattle snake. There is a sound it makes when you gear up or down which is just sublime. Also dropping the engine into the RX7 is my favourite ride.
@ @randallmeans9797 Thats a matter of personal preference i think the Mercedes CLK LM Race Car and the Nissan R92CP are like 10 % better and more Fun to drive.

This car is definitely one of the best usable cars in GT7. It's legendary. Fuel efficiency can't be beaten by any other gr1 car, and no other car is as forgiving with it's tires like the 787. The only thing that would've made this car better, was to have the driver's seat in the center. For real. Why would they put the driver seat off to the side in a car like this?. Just makes sense to have a balanced car, completely balanced.
The 787B was my personal go-to for Le Mans 700PP grinding in earlier updates. However, since Polyphony altered the point system once again, my go-to cars are the DP100 and 787B-swapped RX-7 FD. The 787B sees use for Sardegna grinding, though.
You can still use the 787b on lemains and its still good , just not as op as it used to be Need to put rear aero on max abd front aero on min , weight to the front as much as you can and then you can setup the power Still can last 7 rounds but my strategy is , lasting to round 3 with fuel map 1 (it starts to rain most of the time in round 2 so a 3rd round is possible ) but if the weather allows , do a 4th round or last as long as you can

Yeah sorry this car has been the cheat car ever since it was initially put in a Gran Turismo game. Always has been and always will be the best overall car in the entire game. They intentionally do that as this is the most important car to Japan and they will not nerf this car ever. Yeah they’ve tweaked it here and there but it will forever be the best overall car. Once you own it, you’ve basically beaten GT. Perfect balance of tire wear, fuel consumption, power, cornering, and acceleration. Not the best in any single category but balanced in all. The Japanese won’t allow them to nerf this car.

This thing is Still OP as F*** even at 799 PP Fuel Lasts Like 18 Laps and Hard Racing Tires Start to wear down arrond Lap 9. by 2 mm.

Buy the Porsche 917 living legend. Lovely car to drive. One of my favorite grind cars. Something diff to try.
