For Arthur’s whole life he lived in constant sadness. Both of his parents died during his childhood leaving him an Orphan who eventually got swept up by Dutch and Hosea. He then had a child who died too soon and also fell in love with girl who broke his heart many times. The only family he had left to love was the gang and even that was falling apart. This game broke pretty much everyone who played it… I cried harder than I EVER have playing a game.. to this day I haven’t played a game that felt like this one. This was not just a game but a movie, an experience, a representation of true redemption of the soul, a portrayal of one man seeing another (John) involved with something that wasn’t gonna get him anywhere and was just going to cost him the same life Arthur had hoped for with Mary. Arthur had regrets and pain he carried, he wanted better for John because he knew the cost otherwise because he went through it. All Arthur wanted was for John to not look back…….
i did the same. i played this game knowing ABSOLUTELY nothing about red dead redemption, my only previous rockstar game was GTA 5. and i wanted to try another rockstar game, i started crying on arthurs last ride, and when my horse died, i started bawling, and when arthur died, i broke down, i literally had to walk outside to breathe, i was so heartbroken, no game ever has made me cried so much as the ending of red dead redemption 2
@@Bappster420 there’s not many games that are like that. Not many studios or developers are focused on high production quality story games, we get like one or two of those every decade it seems, so this game rlly is one of if not THEE best game to come out in the past decade… and tbh that’s including the time GTA V came out IMO.
The ending was very sad I’ll never forget it! good play throughs of rdr 2 I hope you had an amazing journey playing through rdr 2 such a great game I’d definitely replay it again!
Haha, that's exactly how I felt the first time too! After Arthur's tragedy, I was in shock. The same when you suddenly start playing as John (I didn't even know the first part). I didn't touch the game for several weeks until I was ready to continue. It felt like a really good friend had died with Arthur.
Now you can find Dutch's mother's grave in the Blackwater cemetery. He told us about this when they were out fishing. Go for a trip around the map, try to speak to everyone Arthur knew. Especially old Hamish and Charlotte!
I've been a fan for a long time, thank you for a good playthrough! I have over 200 games in my steam library yet RDR2 has been my favorite game of all time. Nothing was the same after i finished the game. The writing and acting were so good that when Arthur passed away I felt like I lost a friend in real life... I really hope RDR3 is gonna come out soon and I hope it will be just as good as this game
1st time I watched your stream, looked at that specific moment, your tears plus my tears watching it over and over again, gained my heart, subscribe, love you dear, best game of the time ❤️
Take all the time you need to heal, personally don't mind to wait a whole month for the next episode. Just wanted to say (no spoilers) that the epilogue starts very slow but then picks up the pace and becomes as amazing as the rest of the game (in some aspects it's even my favourite part)
Your reaction to everything happened mirrored mine so closely. This was the only video game that I've ever had a deep emotional attachment to the protagonist, and thus cried at the end. I think this is how most people feel playing this for the first time. The one thing I hate is that I've played this, because I cannot relive that first time playing it again.
I feel with you sweet Jenni, just allow those tears to come! Sending you all the warm hugs to make you feel better! We all went through this together, and we all held out hope for Dutch to come around, but let the epilogue tell the rest of the story! Take some time to rest up and come back when you feel ready! Love you beautiful girl, this has been an amazing journey with you, and Arthur, and Frank! ❤
As soon as the scene with Abigail and Sadie played I got tears in my eyes and when the song was playing I was bawling my eyes out. Ive had one playthrough myself and as far as I can remember it was the same thing back then.. Thanks for sharing your experience, I'm glad I got to share it with you!
“This is agent Ross with the Pinkerton detective agency. Put your guns down we have you surrounded.” The moment it was all over. Goosebumps and chills.
2:04:51 And this is why I love watching people's experiences to compare to mine. After everything that happened to Arthur, the fact that I knew he wasn't going to live by the end, it's like I was in denial. No tears. No emotion. Just emptiness. As I sat there watching one of the best story arcs of a character given to one of the best fictional characters I've ever seen, I could only sit there helpless and alone. That will be the last time I ever hear in-game Arthur Morgan alive. This is where his story ended. As the game switched to John, I immediately put the controller down, powered off my ps4 and til this day have never finished the epilogue myself. Now, I eventually did experience the epilogue after weeks/months by watching someone play the game and watching them play the epilogue lol. I just did not feel it. Arthur Morgan is my whole Red Dead experience. At the time I was like if not him, I don't want to play. Thank you so much Prymbra, this was such an emotional journey. I always hate when this time comes because I don't ever want this experience we all are having to stop. Imagine if there was a world where Arthur lived and the game continued and we would still get more gameplay each week. Ah but alas, I guess it wouldn't have the same effect like it has now. Please take any time you need to heal (it's just a game but you know what i mean.) Loved this playthrough through and through.
I get what you are saying and i personally did the same and put the game down for a whole week. But you're doing yourself a mischief by not experiencing the redemption arc of John, wich Is different but by the end of Rdr1 as powerful as Arthur's. Mr Morgan redeemed himself saving the people he had around and giving a chance to live to John, John redeemed himself loving his family and fighting day and night for them

Many of us had similar reactions at the exact same points that you did, even old men like me. And I've watched a lot of these. Yours was harder to watch than many others. You seemed almost too -- fragile -- to go through it. I hope you come to see it as the masterpiece it is.
Well, it finally happened and way too soon I knew what was coming and watched you, like a lamb to the slaughter, be pulled through the gauntlet of the games finish, a slap in the head followed by another and another with no time to process, recover or even gather your senses between the blows. It was rapid, harsh and brilliant with you also brilliant, operating at times on pure instinct, senses overwhelmed. I feel strongly that the sudden push into twenty minutes of the epilogue is ill advised and I actually hated that choice though I understand why they did it. I longed for the chance to stop at the end and grieve, recover and gather myself. I thought I was robbed and feel that you must have felt that way. I am glad there is a full epilogue though i find it a wholly different, good but lesser game without Arthur being more than a memory. I loved, and I mean really loved taking this truly epic journey with your lead and am sure the adventure with John will be interesting and fun as you explore this new experience. Thanks for lots of adventure, emotion and discovery on the way. 🙂
Cried all over again watching this. Must be such a different experience playing this without playing RDR1 first! Losing Arthur is tough but then being back with John is a comfort.
I've never seen that sweet conversation with MaryBeth. Such an emotional journey with a game and story that just hits different than anything else I've ever played. Lovely job Jenni, looking forward to the Epilogue whenever you feel like jumping back in (took me at least a month to pick the game up and finish it out).

After playing this game, I noticed one thing. The moment I discovered that I was terminally ill with tuberculosis, I started giving away all my belongings, money, everything, and I no longer cared about having material things. It's the same in real life, so today I no longer care about possessions, and focus more on my family, love, true happiness and friendship, and cherish that until I die. That's what this game taught me. A true masterpiece.
I have just completed this story today as well then I hopped on UA-cam rewatching Arthur’s death scene when I can’t help it but shed tears watching it.RDR2 story is amazing!

That horrible, beautiful moment when we all learned that Rockstar Games secretly hates horses and the people who love them so they made a whole game just to torture them.
I have played this game through 3 times and cried like a baby every time in the scene where Arthur passes. Hands down one of the best games of the past decade, The story line is amazing.
After playing through the scenes of Arthur's death, I felt the way I think most people did. I really had a hard time getting back into it and ended up taking a pause. It's such an emotional experience and wasn't prepared for that kind of experience from a game. I enjoy watching other peoples reactions during their playthrough, it still chokes me up, I think its beautiful.
This is one of the best playthroughs of the game on youtube. You should try using the chewing tobacco. It refills your deadeye and fortifies the core. It's also really cheap at the stores, so it's easy to keep it stocked up.
I like watching reactions to this game. It's the closest I can get to experiencing it all again for the first time. Your reaction was very sincere. Thanks for sharing! 😊
It's both gut wrenching and beautiful. In the end...his soul was clean...and he took on the form of the stag...his spirit animal...to carry on to the ethereal plane.
had the exact same reaction during Arthurs ride. ive never been more attached to a fictional character ever like I am with Arthur. I feel like I lost a friend. What a fcking masterpiece of a game.
Howdy Prymbra, Yes, this game brings out ALL the emotions. I too, was devastated losing my horse my first playthrough. Seeing you cry, made me cry ,Again. You did give me a chuckle this episode, using your Varmint rifle in battle ( .22 caliber, for small animals. lol. ). You have now opened up a new map to explore ( after a few main missions is better ). All my other playthrough's, I sell my main horse's ( to give them a good life ) before the the last Dutch mission, and use a new horse I barely bonded with. Not sure if you explored enough around the Mysterious Hill house ( your editing skipped by that part ), check all over the hobbit house and just a little north of it is another mysterious area to find ( this is a Prime location. lol ). Be sure to watch all the end credits of this game ( more story being told ).
How embarassing. You had me shedding too many tears for the hundredth time, especially towards the end of Arthurs story. I love how invested you were, it still hurts me.. Arthur is the best and this game is my all time favorite.
You think about it, the reason Arthur never spit or coughed on Micah when he fought him was because he didn’t want him to go through the same thing he had to go through

i did the same. i played this game knowing ABSOLUTELY nothing about red dead redemption, my only previous rockstar game was GTA 5. and i wanted to try another rockstar game, i started crying on arthurs last ride, and when my horse died, i started bawling, and when arthur died, i broke down, i literally had to walk outside to breathe, i was so heartbroken, no game ever has made me cried so much as the ending of red dead redemption 2
There's still plenty of game left until the credits roll.
ive seen the ending like 10 plus times and still cry everytime. i relate too much with Arthur
Out of all the playthroughs ive watched, this is the ONLY one where ive felt heartbroken for the player. You brought me to the verge of tears jenni!
"Cough on him, spit on him" - Prymba lost honor xDDDD
Haha, that's exactly how I felt the first time too! After Arthur's tragedy, I was in shock. The same when you suddenly start playing as John (I didn't even know the first part). I didn't touch the game for several weeks until I was ready to continue. It felt like a really good friend had died with Arthur.
That deer in the start of the epilogue is a paid actor I swear, it makes me chuckle every time I see it freaking out in the river.
IT happens in almost everyones game lmao
@@MrFrankEast no fr, it's so funny.
Dude there were 2 of them 😂 I'm crying, this was the WORST I've seen of it and she didn't even notice 😂
@diswazzi1683 lmfao that's funny, I only saw the one💀
Now you can find Dutch's mother's grave in the Blackwater cemetery. He told us about this when they were out fishing. Go for a trip around the map, try to speak to everyone Arthur knew. Especially old Hamish and Charlotte!
Oh now...the moment we've all dreaded. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That was terrific. Thank you so much for giving us your all.
Such an impactful ending Rip Arthur, the last enemy Shall be destroyed.
one of the most genuine reactions to the end I've seen so far, you dont hide your face or run to fix your makeup. I love this
I do love that Arthur smiled at Dutch not leaving with Micha.
Arthur walking into heaven: HAHA, FOUND YA LENNY.” and today’s my birthday.
Happy birthday day
@@PaulArmstrong-tu3he thank you
Tears in my eyes and I'm laughing my ass off at this. 😂
@@justkiddingnotreally4865 that was so funny did you put this game
Happy birthday!
you know you have made a good character when even after already beating the game it still makes you cry
1st time I watched your stream, looked at that specific moment, your tears plus my tears watching it over and over again, gained my heart, subscribe, love you dear, best game of the time ❤️
"You know, there ain't enough kindness in this world, that's for sure" 😢
The moment we've all been dreading 😭 you've done a wonderful job with this game prymbra thank you 🙌 sending hugs and good vibes to all 🙏🌻🐝🌻🐝
Take all the time you need to heal, personally don't mind to wait a whole month for the next episode.
Man seeing you cry made me emotional. What a game.
Put your guns down we have you surrounded.”
The moment it was all over. Goosebumps and chills.
Rest easy cowboy!
You deserve that ride into the sunset!
1:45:20 "why does it feel like a goodbye" 😞
Tilly and Arthur saying goodbye got me the hardest.
Mr Morgan redeemed himself saving the people he had around and giving a chance to live to John, John redeemed himself loving his family and fighting day and night for them
@@fabiog9447 it's been years since i've played rdr2 and i don't really play games nowadays. but like i said i have watched the epilogue on youtube and it's great. many many moments that puts everything in perspective.
I don't think there's a normal person - man or woman out there who has not cried at this ending.
Agreed. I was a 28 year old hulk playing through for the first time. Cried like a bitch.
@@LiquorAndWh0rz so many people say "it's just a game" but that's also the same people who will cry after a 90 minute movie.
Best RDR2 Video I ever watched! It is looong and real, best quality and it shows your first impressions like we want to see. It is Gold! I will watch it from the start next. I hardly could believe you did this till the end, so proud. Nothing more needed after this one. Rly love this Vid
RIP Arthur Morgan 🙏🏾 One of the greatest video game protagonists ever.
this is not a game . This is a EMOTION
amazing piece of digital art
You are really awesome at the hand-to-hand combat!! You dodged and blocked everything Mica threw at you! You would have won if the end of the flight wasn't scripted! I've never seen anyone do that well.
Hope you’re doing okay after all this ❤ RIP Arthur and also Frank she was a good girl.
Still trying to cope 😭🤞🏻 it's very hard to accept that Arthur and Frank are gone
@@Prymbra take a break if you need it. I did the first time I played it and it still gets to me.
@@AnnaDiLiberto @Prymbra Yes please take a break. it's a lot to process honestly
Notice Javier is the only one who doesn’t point his gun at Arthur and John. He just puts his gun towards the sky
Noooo!!! Jenni crying is heartbreaking!!!! 😢 💔
We're here for u Jenni big hugs 🤗. Arthur Morgan definitely was a good good man he may of done some bad but that doesn't mean he wasn't a good man deep down it jus took him getting TB to realize what a truly amazing man he was a badass outlaw wit a heart of gold he & Frank are reunited riding in an endless golden field forever. RIP Arthur & Frank play the epilogue Jenni it will heal ur broken heart. Ride on Cowboy Ride on ❤
It was one of the most innocent reactions I've ever watched. Yes, we all cried in this mission.
RIP Legend :(
LegendS! Frank is also one 😭💗
That final ride back, i cried with you Jenni even though ive done it 2 times allready, hits the same again
One of the heaviest moments I have ever experienced in all my years of gaming. Top notch story telling, this game is so powerful. Thank you for sharing 🫂
This game draws you with Arthur and start loving him then it rips your heart out. They knew what they was doing. It is a great game I still play after all these years.
I really enjoyed your journey so far!
That first jump to the horse was epic 😂, great playthrough, no rush, just full enjoyment. Congrats.
Great reaction, Jenni. I’m glad you showed your emotions. It’s how I felt when I played the game.
RIP Arthur
RIP Frank
This is one of the best playthroughs of the game on youtube. You should try using the chewing tobacco. It refills your deadeye and fortifies the core. It's also really cheap at the stores, so it's easy to keep it stocked up.
I like watching reactions to this game. It's the closest I can get to experiencing it all again for the first time. Your reaction was very sincere. Thanks for sharing! 😊
It's both gut wrenching and beautiful. In the end...his soul was clean...and he took on the form of the stag...his spirit animal...to carry on to the ethereal plane.
The look on dutchs face when he finally realized micah was playing him
had the exact same reaction during Arthurs ride. ive never been more attached to a fictional character ever like I am with Arthur. I feel like I lost a friend. What a fcking masterpiece of a game.
It's amazin how a 6 years old game still have so much attention and makes people filled with sorrow.
When A game can produce this sort of emotions in you , you know this is a MASTERPIECE !!
You probably won’t see this but I think you should play all the mafia games. They’re very story driven much like this game. Love your work!
I will absolutely do that someday! Never played any of them
Howdy Prymbra, Yes, this game brings out ALL the emotions.
They never advertised that this game will probably make you cry
You think about it, the reason Arthur never spit or coughed on Micah when he fought him was because he didn’t want him to go through the same thing he had to go through
It was a Hell of a ride. Thank you Prymba
I mean.....it's not quite over yet. C:
Awesome playthrough... As sad as things were, you'll have great memories of Arthur and Frank... Keep going! ☺️
Hello from germany . That was a really good performance . thank you for that . I have played RDR2 ( online / Story ) for over 7300 hours .
Hallo (auch aus Deutschland)! Ich kann 100% verstehen warum du so viel Zeit in dieses Spiel investieren würdest, es ist perfekt 💗💗💗
Congrats on beating the main storyline of RDR2 and can't wait to see where you go next! I view the epilogue as a good destressing and therapeutic storyline that will help with all the blubbering trauma that was chapter 6 lol. Cannot wait!!
Breaking Eagle Flies outta prison is 1 of my favorite missions
Even on his worst day Arthur could beat Micah.
Easily.
Evidently not
Thank you for the playthrough
Arthur's death is always hard to watch.
