You should make him finish the game lol. OFC it’s sad when Arthur dies but the only way to fully appreciate him as a character is to see his full story.
2:10:37 You can learn from camp dialogues that Dutch has a habit of seducing young women into sleeping with him, but once they start getting old, he replaces them with someone young. He did it with Susan before replacing her with the girl that Colm kills. After she died, he brought in Molly. Molly is in her 30s now so Dutch started to take an interest in Mary-Beth (who's 22). Molly figured this out though (hince her accusing him constantly of cheating) and eventually she realizes the only thing Dutch gives a shit about is proving he's smarter, be it against police, the army, or the government. So, Molly, after getting wasted, figures "I know how to get back at him, I'll make him feel stupid!" and she goes and pretends that she outsmarted Dutch. Only, Susan shoots her. If you find all the different parts of Molly's backstory, it's actually pretty sad. She was a rich girl from Dublin who fled to escape her incredibly controlling parents and meets Dutch, who presents himself as a wealthy man and free thinker, a philosopher, and seduces her. Only, when she goes with him to his grand estate, she finds a bunch of tents full of thieves and murderers, women who hate her because she refused to participate in a lifestyle that she didn't ask for. I'd say of all the people Dutch has conned, Molly is the saddest. He didn't do it for money, or to prove he was smarter, or for any type of advantage. He ruined any chances she could have had at a nice life in the US, just so he could have someone to sleep with at night. And the second she starts getting middle aged, he ditches her, just like he did Susan, even though Molly was genuinely in love with him.
so many people never properly understand molly's backstory. im so glad somebody finds an interest in her instead of just the main men of the camp. so many youtubers and other players see her and just see a brat who refuses to work, but she is just more evidence of how Dutch was never a good man, and all we saw was just him becoming more of who he truly is (like Rains Fall says)
Totally agree friend. 6 Paythroughs later spread out since release and I still become a sobbing mess toward the end. When he yells for Sadie to ride with him I always yell along getting so pumped. (have to add, calling folks friend has stuck with me since rd1.)
@@mmxxiii9503 John: you know Abigail says she may know where some of that money is Arthur: well you be sure then you come bring it to me, and we'll decide who or what we should be loyal too John: I don't know Arthur: nor do I. Molly was saying she ratted cos Dutch kept ignoring her and that’s the only time Dutch paid attention is when she finally said she talked, but all throughout the game he ignores her and she just builds that rage for him she wanted to make him feel like shi
Some people think it was Molly committing suicide because she must have known that the #1 rule of the gang is that if you ever talked, you would be killed
Jet's reaction and emotion on Arthur and John final goodbye gets me. You tried so hard not to get emotional brother but in the end it all gets us. Thumbs up and all the best with you. Please play the epilogue. We'll all be waiting and looking forward to it. Best playthrough, hands down.
Molly was lying about herself snitching because her intention was to make Dutch kill her in an act of assisted suicide. Molly was being ignored by Dutch the entire game. Ignored by the one person in camp she treasured and loved and Dutch just pushed her aside. It was just suicide.
I shit you not this is the best playthrough of this game I’ve ever seen. Too many huge UA-camrs play this game and show next to no emotions throughout it. I remember watching Markiplier’s playthrough of Hosea’s death and he was like “oh nooo 😮😢…. ahh well, on to the next thing” and that was it. Similar with Arthur. The way you opened yourself up to this game is outstanding ily jettro
Nah there's a lot of them that play this and by the time the ending come there's waterworks everywhere especially the ladies...maybe you're talking about the guys...
tbh I didn't have a big reaction when Hosea died. It was sad but also over quite fast because you immediately get put back into action. Arthur on the other hand, I bawled my eyes out.
Best play through of this game I’ve seen yet. There’s something special about seeing someone experience something you love and also have the same feelings you had.
There's a moment where Javier and Micah are plotting with one another and laugh about it, and if you try to listen as Arthur, they'll tell you that it's a private convo and ask you to go away. Unfortunately, Javier wasn't any better than the others :'/
@@gendarmyy7586javier was blinded by loyalty, he told Arthur once that if Dutch wanted them to die, he’d do so, that’s how loyal he was, and too loyal to point and try to kill his “brothers” that conversation with Micah could’ve been anything
I’ve never cried while playing a video game, but the first time I played this game and saw Arthur’s story and how it ended made me shed a tear. I just loved Arthur as a character one of the best video game characters of all time and RD2 is one of the best storytelling games of all time.
at 1:41:29 he got the interactions of micah trying to scare arthur, and arthur said "just name the place" right before the final mission which is like just, WE BOUT FIGHT BRO HOLD UP
Bro the fact that he got that interaction RIGHT before the final mission crazy. Arthur spends the entire game restraining himself from Micah out of loyalty to Dutch, so to see him just let loose with that line was so cold
Arthur's deceased son actually gets brought up through a dialogue option in the first Rains fall mission in the mountains. You must've missed it. Arthur says that him and his former acquaintance Eliza, a 19 year old girl had a child together named Isaac. Arthur visited them every once in a while to stop by and spend time with his family. However, one day he went to visit them and saw two gravestones. Turns out a robber had come through and shot them, for only 10 dollars. Remember that last debt mission with the widow and her son? You see Arthur's face and reaction as soon as she shows her kid? It's probably because he saw Isaac and Eliza in them and heavily related to them.
Actually if you take long to make a choice between getting the money or helping john, arthur automatically chooses to help john. This means that it is the canon choice
@@Jarjar2270If you understand really the game that’s Arthur redemption so low honor are wrong ending and the left choice are the real choice so high honor help John is the real ending
Yeah this is by far the most emotionally moving gaming experience I've had. Rockstar really did a great job with this one. The writing.. the characters.. the music.. everything is just top tier 💯
Please please please please play the epilogue!! It’s such a huge important part of the game and it breaks my heart that so many people just skip it Edit: just finished the vid (amazing as usual btw), take your time but I’m very happy you said you’re gonna play it!
The worst part is that everyone who died would have sided with Arthur at the end, But what's great is knowing Micah is so weak he needs Arthur to have a Handy cap and it still was hard for him, arthur's draw speed is the fastest in game, 0.3 seconds
i think its more of that arthur was such a genuine fucking tank, that even with blood filling his lungs, and robbing and running all day long still fucked with micah so hard that he couldn't even stand up straight after
I don’t think Micah is weak at all, at least as a gunslinger o: As a gun hes probably like the third second or fourth most skilled gunman in Van Der Linde, debatably behind John and Dutch.
@@wetsocks4460I like your ranking system very agreeable he is quite fast he shoots three people in the head before S’s body hits the ground Edit: from the mission a short walk in a pretty town
The reason I stuck around to watch this playthrough when I almost never do with others, is because of your emotion. Your emotions, your reactions to things, and the wisdom that you and all your fans so love to hear just feels so authentic. Someone will see or hear something crazy and simply stare at their screen, completely unmoving. But you, you feel authentic. I love the screams, I love the crying, I love the anger because that is what shows a “GOOD” video game. Thank you for being entertaining and providing us with amazing content. Keep up the great work and keep your head high.
I second your comment about Jettro. One prime example I can think of with his authentic reaction to the game: "FUCK THIS NI**A!!!" (when Micah appears on the mountain)
So where finally here... The end of Arthur's story. Its been fun watching you play this, Jet. Hopefully you'll beat the epilogue (trust me it'll be worth it), and potentially the 1st one too. W series, w gameplay, and w commentary.
This game changed my entire life. It makes me so happy to see people enjoy this masterpiece even all these years later. I discovered this channel because of this series and in exited to see the last episodes in the epilogue! (Sorry if bad english btw. I'm still learning this language 😅)
1:00:58 I know I’m extremely late but it was one of the dialogues with Rains Fall you could get. Arthur talks about his son Isaac he had with a girl named Eliza. He’d visit for a couple of days every few months because of his lifestyle. One day, he stops by the house and saw two crosses. Some dude killed and robbed them for only $10. He then says “You don’t get to live a bad life and have good things happen to you”
Bud... I fully understand why this part got to you. This part made me cry like a baby because Arthur was such a likable, relatable character. The song that played during the last ride back to camp hit me _hard_ due to the context, but Arthur's death hit me hard as well, and I bawled *_HARD._* This game and *_Undertale_* are the only games that made me cry. And for good reason. If you need to vent or talk... I'm here for ya.
Yeah not sure how to top that tbh. First game in over 20 years of gaming that made me cry at the end and obviously many other people. Just shows how deeply written and masterfully crafted that whole thing is.
I’ve cried countless times at this game. I challenge anyone to find me a better quote than “take a chance that love exists and do a loving act”. Also, when he says goodbye to Tilly I always choke up because it feels like that’s when we all know we’re going out in a blaze of glory
Jett you have no idea how much I've enjoyed this series. I started watching you during the ragnarok arc and I've been enjoying your company and personality every video. Red dead is my favourite story of all time so when I saw you upload that first episode I was so happy but I had no idea how amazing the series would be. I laughed and cried with you brother throughout this series. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the game with all of us
I think Jetro did the most emotional playthrough reaction to this game. I laugh and cry even more wathing his reaction more than playing it. So good to see his pain, afraid, etc. Just amazing!
When Arthur is talking to the nun and says he got TB from beating a man, it's the farmer you beat up for Herr Strauss at the beginning of the game right after you get out of the snow. He was weak and sick and coughs on Arthur. Another way of Arthur's sins coming back for him.
What is wrong with me? Every time I watch a reaction for this scene of Arthur dying, my eyes just shed tears, everytime. And I am 49 years old, played the game twice and still roaming around its world and can't have enough. I can't believe it has been released in 2018 for PS and 2019 for PC and is still the best game that has been ever made in every aspect till today, this is my opinion.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to play this goat of a game. I saw a TikTok of you playing and have not stopped watching since. And of all the playthrous I’ve watched this is by far the best one, because you could really see that you loved this game too and didn’t just play it for content. Thank you again and R.I.P to the Goat. Arthur Morgan 🐐
No form of entertainment has ever torn me up like RDR2 did. Even watching this video, (around 6 months now since I achieved 100% completion) these videos still bring me to tears. I truly believe that nothing else will ever do this (for me) again. This deserves the title of 'masterpiece'. If the end of Arthurs story doesn't crush you with emotions, then there's something wrong with you.
Your play through sir is award winning. You immersed yourself so much (as many of us did). So much so that Arthur’s death is personal. When you care about a character and a story so much, it makes you feel as if you lost a close friend. This game forever changed how I judge and play video games. The bar is IMPOSSIBLE
Still hurts the same as my first playthrough. Arthur morgan is easily my number 1 videogame character of all time, nobody else even comes close. What an incredible experience this game was.
If I could only pick one game to play for the first time again it would be RDR2 the journey you go through with Arthur is one of the best story’s of any game I’ve ever played

I've played games for over 20 years and recently finished Red Dead Redemption 2. I think it's fair to say that this is the best game I've ever played. Don't think there will be something to surpass this any time soon.
Man, I have never seen somebody else’s initial reaction to the ending until now. I am crying at 6 am because I felt like I was watching myself play the ending, I mourn arthur’s death as if he was a real person. RDR2 Is the greatest story in all of gaming, and you can’t change my mind.
This felt good to watch man. My first play through I went through the same emotions and this was the only game I’ve ever cried to. All the people who put this game/story together were in their baaaagg. I will be waiting for that rd1 content and the epilogue. Thank you for this.

There's a theory that Dutch received a traumatic brain injury after the trolly crash in St. Denis. That's when he started letting Micah take advantage of him.

Man I’ve been waiting for this episode. Dude thank you for being so vulnerable during your play through. It’s how we all felt. You’ve probably heard it a million times, but you have to play the epilogue. Also the first game/sequel is the reason video games are art now. It’d be cool to see you play that too.
imagine if Arthur had a gun in his off-hand holster during that last fight, when he is crawling on the ground. it would've been some beautiful irony to see Micah's gift to Arthur earlier in the story be the reason he died
Bro. First if all. Im subbing to you. You are the man. To get on here and show your true emotions like this. I have so much respect for that. Also, i felt exactly like you did. I was moved. I cried and was just reminiscing everything I did as Arthur throughout the game. It also hit me hard when he was riding back to camp after he told Abigail and Sadie to get to safety. That song was playing, and Arthur was thinking about a bunch of different things he did, and you can hear conversations he had while riding to confront Michah and Dutch. I knew the end was near. But the way it ended was so sad. And the sun rising while Arthur took his last breath. Bro. I was tore up. I couldn't believe a video game could get that much emotion out of me. I felt like someone important died for real. And I agree. This is the best story telling of any game I've ever played. God bless brother. Thanks for this reaction video. So we can all watch again.
ngl bro, as someone who didnt know of you before hand, and just my adhd in general. i was like.. hell no too long. but ended up sitting through that with ya on your journey. i felt all the things you feel, most of us did. its a game that stays with you, a game that changes you, a game that teaches. subbed and liked. ended up sitting through the whole thing, great vid mate!
Damn dude. Your tears are contagious. No matter how many times I've seen this ending, i still found my heart aching right there along with you. Can't wait to follow your journey in Rdr1
The story of Arthur is just something i never thought I'd get from a game. Such a strange feeling to miss someone so much who technically was never even real, i suppose Arthur is real in the impact he made on us all who played the game, the lesson he thought us, and the stories he left us with. It felt so real and I've never loved a character more than ever, i hardly ever cry but when he gave his last breath i cried like a little girl. This isn't just a videogame, it's an experience like no other, a masterpiece nothing can ever be replace in my heart, it's one of the most emotional stories to ever be told. You're a good man Arthur Morgan, even though you're a fictional character, i really loved you brother...

So dutch is di caprio
Gawwwww dammmmmm@@AltClickRepeat
so many people never properly understand molly's backstory. im so glad somebody finds an interest in her instead of just the main men of the camp. so many youtubers and other players see her and just see a brat who refuses to work, but she is just more evidence of how Dutch was never a good man, and all we saw was just him becoming more of who he truly is (like Rains Fall says)
BTW That’s just a theory

24:37 Dutch saying what he said in RDR1, nice detail
Molly was lying about herself snitching because her intention was to make Dutch kill her in an act of assisted suicide.
Molly was being ignored by Dutch the entire game. Ignored by the one person in camp she treasured and loved and Dutch just pushed her aside.
It was just suicide.
I don't think she wanted to die. She wanted to hurt Dutch, death was just the added consequence of hurting him.

Ive seen thats scene 1000 times over and i cry every time
It literally sent me into a depression for like a week. I felt so empty that the character I had been playing for 2 months was suddenly gone
The Thomas Downes mission from Strauss is where Arthur got TB. That’s why he kept trying to help the man’s wife and kid
That’s why I can’t watch those UA-camrs like that anymore
Best play through of this game I’ve seen yet.
There’s something special about seeing someone experience something you love and also have the same feelings you had.
The saddest part is when Arthur Morgan yells at Dutch but you could hear the kid inside him
Javier a real one for not pointing his gun at anyone
Took him a bit but the last frame before the Pinkertons started shooting he was aiming at John & Arthur sadly
There's a moment where Javier and Micah are plotting with one another and laugh about it, and if you try to listen as Arthur, they'll tell you that it's a private convo and ask you to go away. Unfortunately, Javier wasn't any better than the others :'/
@@gendarmyy7586javier was blinded by loyalty, he told Arthur once that if Dutch wanted them to die, he’d do so, that’s how loyal he was, and too loyal to point and try to kill his “brothers” that conversation with Micah could’ve been anything
javier is genuinely a victim of dutch's manipulation
Yet he still left John to die and didn’t do anything about it
I’ve never cried while playing a video game, but the first time I played this game and saw Arthur’s story and how it ended made me shed a tear.

That way Micah laughed too you know he was nervous 😂
And he has died also for a few dollars by contracting TB
So glad you finally reached a million views. This video is phenomenal. The game is phenomenal. Congrats jett

Me too. Back in 2018 I couldn't believe I was experience this game, it changed my way of seeing the world.
He then says “You don’t get to live a bad life and have good things happen to you”
Bro Arthur giving his hat to the first mc was fireeee🔥😭

This part made me cry like a baby because Arthur was such a likable, relatable character.
The song that played during the last ride back to camp hit me _hard_ due to the context, but Arthur's death hit me hard as well, and I bawled *_HARD._*
This game and *_Undertale_* are the only games that made me cry. And for good reason.
