I miss the 90s. MJ and the Bulls (and the NBA of that era), Bob Costas, NBA on NBC (and that awesome theme song)...if we could somehow get a part of that excitement and allure back....
Bob Costas is a living legend. He's my favorite sportscaster of all-time, easily. I remember watching that game 6 with Utah, and Bob was pure excellence in commentary!
I remember seeing Bob Costas in FL at what use to be called Grand Pre with his son and I ask him are you Bob Costas and he said No with the same voice I heard through my childhood. I knew that was you
Part of it due to the Bulls having a thin bench plus Scottie delaying his surgery during the 1997-1998 season forcing Jordan to play more minutes than he should have at that stage of his career.
Biggest impact on the NBA there ever was..single-handedly made the NBA popular again..the League would not be what it is today if there was no "Air Jordan" to give a huge boost on so many levels!!!
@@joestuehmer7967 yeah right..that was after MJ became so popular that at the end of the '80s everybody would buy his shoes (and everything else he endorsed) and he became the most popular athlete in the world..did iverson ever achieve that status?..i think nobody did...
Globally yes, but the Larry & Magic rivalry took it from tape delayed finals to prime time live TV in America. First NBA game I saw on terrestrial TV in U.K. was Bulls v Celtics in 87.
I totally agree with Bob Costas. It's a blessing in disguise that Jerry Krause broke the team up, because Michael wouldn't have come out on top, sooner or later, if he has continued playing, and him going out with a title (like he says, the Wizards don't count), helps his legacy.
MJ was so locked in on being the best at winning basketball that it would be criminal for ANY teammate to take offense to him demanding they find their zone & live in it on the basketball court because that's what he was bringing every single time. Practice being harder than games is the best problem any HOOPER could ever ask for. You don't feel bitterness about the push you needed to become a champion once you're a champion multiple times because of it.
I am so glad he said maybe he was a little bit of both on the evil part of Jerry Crouse Because it was Jerry who assembled the best team ever But due to not receiving the credit he thought he deserved he couldn't get passed his own ego and tore the team apart a few seasons before it should have happened, and look, now the bulls have been rebuilding since 1998
Oh are two way SGs running the league? No!?... It's the big men who can pass and are even faster than the smaller SG.... I wonder who that sounds like? 🤔 Oh yea, the "Queen". If u look at the way the game is going it's further away from MJ style than ever. Not that he doesn't have an impact. Jordan bridged a racial, cultural, and generational gap that was hard to do at that time and so for that yes his impact is felt and very much appreciated. I don't think we have to necessarily 💩 on one person to praise the other. LeBron's impact is still growing and he is doing so much off the court that is bridged from how he performs on the court so the impact is also felt and appreciated. Everyone has their own opinion and that's cool but if u can't look at the debate with an open mind then I don't think you're doing the game of basketball any justice. It's all about evolution. If the players aren't getting better than the players from back in the day we are doing something wrong. But last I checked players have been getting bigger stronger and faster... I'm ranting but u get my point 👍🏾
Can't wait for Le36ron's doc.... Ep 1- Swept by Spurs. Ep 2 - Ran to South Beach to be saved by Wade & Bosh. Ep 3- melt down vs Mavs, outplayed by Jason Terry. People throw it away because it was part of a business deal for ownership that went wrong. Honestly it was still a good performance considering he was 38-40 yrs old.
The 90's were amazing, this documentary makes me miss that time in more ways than one.
for real, way better than today's soft NBA
Lol everything was better in the 90's. Michael Jordan, NYPD Blue, ER, culture, everything was better lol.
I like the way he talked about him that his level of artistry is beautiful to watch.

Bob costas the GOAT in his own field..
The guy who thought Johnson would beat Bailey can never be a goat. All he had to do was look at the raw kmh/mph speed difference .
Bob Costas is a living legend. He's my favorite sportscaster of all-time, easily. I remember watching that game 6 with Utah, and Bob was pure excellence in commentary!
This guy has an icon voice. Puts the right words at the right time
This guy and Jim Lampley have the same recognisable factor to their voice
Bob Costas is so right: It's the combination of everything that makes Jordan the absolute best of all time in any sports.
I remember seeing Bob Costas in FL at what use to be called Grand Pre with his son and I ask him are you Bob Costas and he said No with the same voice I heard through my childhood. I knew that was you
The NBA on NBC are the glory days for me. Basketball has not been the same since.
“Is that the guy on my shirt?” I’m dead like never before
How can Costas always just speak like he's reading a script. Listening to him broadcast live was every bit a part of the Jordan Era as Jordan was.
FACTS. You can tell he's read a LOT of books, he has a great command of the English language and is a very creative and visual speaker.
He is a rare talent. Try speaking on camera smoothly, very tough.
There will never be another Bob Costas.
“Michael Jordan running on fumes with 45 points” - Bob Costas
Part of it due to the Bulls having a thin bench plus Scottie delaying his surgery during the 1997-1998 season forcing Jordan to play more minutes than he should have at that stage of his career.
Costas is a legend. So many memories. I thought he was dead tbh
GAHDAMNN Bob Costas is a legend. So well said! Everything he said!
Legend!
Michael Jordan the last dance legendary goat 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Bob costas the goat
No doubt
Those bob costas intros in the finals... I was hoping that they would do 1 more for the doc but you know NBC is holding those tight
NBA on NBC useed to be awesome with Costas.
The good old days almost every Saturday and Sunday
And Marv Albert.
Mj still avg 20 as an old man some players in there 20s cant do that in the NBA now hard work pays off
Bob.... NBA on NBC legend 👍 ...& the good days in sports 💯
Even if you count his Wizards years, he never lost the next year after winning a championship.
We all know who was there with MJ the most and that was skip bayless
😂😂😂😂
MJ said he couldn,t have done it with out skip ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha as if he,d have anything to do with the little big man
for the love of the game- thy name is MJ!

WHAT I FIND FUNNY IS MJ HAS MORE OF A IMPACT ON THE GAME STILL EVEN AFTER NOT BEING ON THE FLOOR FOR 17 YEARS AS OPPOSED TO THE QUEEN

Marv Albert is retiring, return to the NBA Commentary
Bob costas look like david duke
