Love or hate him, Finebaum is probably correct. We will probably see 2 more rounds of realignment to collect the last of the bluebloods (8-10 teams). The revived PAC, BIG, and ACC will fill their lost ranks the best of the G5. The we will have a 3 tier system. Tier 1 will eventually allow for 1 to 2 games a season against tier 2 but no tier 3. They will allow for the best of tier 2 into the playoff.
But there will be a clear break from the tiers.
